D'ed'e I think Prince could write a song at a drop of a hat. Little Richard could go to the piano and write anything. So can Lionel Richie. I've seen Lionel and Little Richard actually do it. And Prince said he wrote a song a day. So I believe he could with no issue.LOL. But the term musical genius is tossed around a bit much, but the 4 mentioned are that.

I wish we could just go back to those days. Hurry up with that time machine! The Seventies just had something that is sorely missed in our current age, especially when it comes to music. Thankfully, Stevie is still with us. He's our link to those halcyon days.
The dude's just having a little fun and the beauty of it is moving me to tears. Stevie Wonder is the father of modern soul music. Before him nobody was trying to sing like that and once he made his mark for 10-15 years, EVERYBODY was trying to sing like that. If he hasn't won the Gershwin award yet, the Gershwin award doesn't even mean s**t. (OK, update: He won it in 2009, the second one ever awarded, preceded only by Paul Simon and yeah, he's a beast of a songwriter but nowhere near the singer and performer as Stevie Wonder.)
As I recall those days, there was indeed a great deal of pride and unity in the community. At the time, there was a great emphasis on getting yourself together which meant getting a good education. This is a very touching scene. When I watch this it makes me so sad to see how things have degraded in the world of entertainment where music has actually been weaponized against the unity of the community. I’m so glad I was raised during this time period when it was very normal to call each other brother and sister instead of these horrible names we so routinely and publicly call each other now. Thank you a Stevie and especially thank you the Late Great Don Cornelious
@@pattyayers They’re both great to me. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t consider Stevie Wonder similarly important to pop music in the late 20th century. He was a fan of the Beatles, friendly with them personally, particularly with Paul McCartney, they wrote songs together, and he cried and was depressed when John Lennon died. I’ll take that as an endorsement.
God, please send us another brother like Stevie Wonder........a real totally talented thinker, composer, singer, producer, etc Stevie Wonder is one the living proofs that God is real!
