  • Almost 900 miles south in Brussels, our family of three was considering getting an electric vehicle, and what better place to put the experience to the test than Norway? Given the advanced infrastructure for electric cars, it would be the perfect place to take notes on the experience. We decided to drive cross country across Norway, from Oslo to Bergen, then north through the western coast Fjords to Alesund to meet a friend who lives there, and then back to Oslo to catch our flight back home. Each leg of that trip was 250-300 miles on average, above the 200-mile range of our rental car, so the journey required a little extra planning.
Here's our vlog about our experience of going on a cross-country trip across Norway. Have you been to Norway before? Have you considered a cross-country trip on an Electric Vehicle?

We will be renting an EV for our trip. Was there a specific mobile app needed for the chargers or just a credit card. Thanks for making the video!

Thanks, for Norway, we used an app called MER. Most of the charging stations we encountered make you pay via their app

You have seen the charging stations, do you think they are open on January 1st or we can face problems with closed-charging stations?

I don’t think so given that we did everything via the app but I would double check with the charging stations you’re looking to use during your trip.
