where do you guys park the car along the way? are there public parking places in every tourist location you visited? when you go into ferry do you take your rented car in the ferry?
It was pretty easy to park in Norway and not very expensive. We mostly parked by our accommodation or public parking which was not very expensive. And yes, you take your car on a ferry and just pay the per vehicle, which was very convenient.
Hi guyss, I'm from Brazil. Your video is fantastic. I have been once in Norway and visiting Starvanger and Bergen it was pretty cool, also Terolltunga, Preikestolen and Sjerakbolten, this last one was the top of my trip to Norway. I wanto togo back and this time to see some fjords and Lofoten.
After visiting Lofoten islands we drove back to Oslo to return the car rental and get on the flight to US next morning, however, we found out the flight was cancelled due to the strike. We called the car rental company and luckily we were able to extend the car rental for 3 more days until the next flight. hi guys! I’m going to Norway this coming fall and have a couple questions for you- did you find it pretty easy to drive throughout Norway? Did you feel like you could understand road signs (like speed limits, directions to view points) or did you not need to necessarily? Was Apple maps & internet connection reliable? And if you include ferry rides/tolls when you rent a car, it seems like all they do is scan your license plate or something and you can drive onto the ferries? Last question lol, did you end up driving all the way back to Oslo at the end? Your trip looked so sick, love this video it helps me with planning!! Thanks :)
Thank you!! And to answer your questions, it was pretty easy to drive in Norway and road signs were understandable, however, pay attention to speed radar control cameras, specifically before the tunnels. You need to watch for the blue signs (with camera) it's a warning sign before there is a speed camera so you won't get a ticket. We learned the hard way in Iceland and got some speed ticket so hope that helps you to avoid it :) and yes, ferry rides will just scan your license plate, it was extra charge via rental company for that purpose but for sure it helped and saved a headache. And your last question: YES, we drove back all the way to Oslo so it was our longest day of driving from Bode but for sure it was worth it!!! Hope you have a great trip and let us know if we can help with any other questions :)
Hey Guys! Loving this itinerary of Norway. Really helping me to plan my trip. I want to know that from rakksetra to geirenger u took a ferry . can you plz metion the ferry used?

Hi, since we travelled so much it would be hard to put it all in one comment but before we made this video we have separate smaller videos which showcase the names of the hotels we stayed at and screenshots from google maps of the time it took to drive from place to place. We recommend watching those videos since they go into more detail about our trip which can more accurately show you the answer to your question. We have a playlist which has all of our Norway videos in it (Norway) which will make it easier to find the exact locations and details you are looking for. Thank you and hope you have a great trip!
What a wonderful video! Good job mates! Breathtaking views throughout the whole trip! By the way, may I wonder how you paid for your tolls and ferries considering the car was rented? I am planning to go there in the foreseeable future! Thank you very much!
Thank you so much!! We paid through the rental company so it was pretty easy, they just scan the car plate before entering the ferry, and same with tolls, all electronic, and we paid at the end of our rental, hope that helps 😊
Thank you! November might be little tricky so we suggest to be prepared for anything, snow, rain, sunshine or snow blizzards, also the weather can change very fast in Iceland and many roads might be closed, that's the reason we chose the summer months. Best luck to you :)

You are welcome and we are glad our video was helpful to you 😊 We parked at nearby parking lot but it gets pretty full quickly, however, people come and go, hope you have a great time!
Thank you! We traveled to Norway in July, betwen July 2-13, 2022. There are plenty of gas stations on the way and we used google maps on our phones. As far as ferry rides, most of them are pretty short so they just scanned the license plate and we paid through the rental company, however, we purchased advance tickets to Lofoten Islands because it's a 3 hours ferry ride. Hope that helps.
we will visit Norway in Aug. Do you need register dj3 min? We are thinking of bring one. We are also think of renting EV SUV, is the charging station plentiful along the way to north?
We are not sure if any changes with drone laws but you should be fine with dj3 min as long as you only fly as permitted. And we have seen plenty of EV's driving all over Norway so we assume there are many charging station along the way. We are considering renting EV next time we are in Norway. Hope that helps and have a great trip!
We used Sixt car rental company and our rental was about $750 for 9 days. It was pretty good and we didn't have any issues. We also included tollways and ferries in our rental which was very helpful since we drove all over the country and used many ferries.
Norway can be pretty expensive but if you don't have to eat at restaurants every day, it can be easier on the budget. Since we drove couple of hours mostly every day, we ate at some of the local gas stations which have pretty good amount of food choices in Norway and it tastes good as well. Our favs was the local hotdogs ($6-$8) and vanilla ice cream:) and we always had plenty of fruits, veggies and snacks in the car as well. As far as the car rental, it was about $1,500 for 9 days. The gas is pretty expensive in Norway but the car we rented, Peugeot, was diesel fuel and it was good with mileage. We used booking.com for our hotels so there are plenty of choices as far accommodation, depends on your budget. Hope that helps, or let us know if you have any other question:)
@@fawadali4398 sorry, we got mixed up the cost with our Iceland rental since we were there right before Norway. The rental in Iceland was about $1,500 because it's more expensive and Norway was $750, to clarify. Hope that helps and thank you for bringing that up 😊
Honestly, that's a tough question because each country has a something else to admire. Iceland is very different from all other countries we've been to and it's very big and open but beautiful. Then we arrived in Norway and noticed it had much more mountains and trees and the big thing is fjords. Noway is a beautiful country and Iceland is a world of its own; we definitely recommend both of them. However, we really enjoyed Iceland a lot because there's nothing else like it. The landscape and terrain is extremely unique and made it feel like we were on another planet. We don't want to make such an important decision for you but we will say that 2 weeks is plenty of time to see both places. We stayed about 8 days in each country. Hope that helps.
I am planning my holiday in Norway during last 2 weeks of November. I want to see the northern lights. Is Tromso good for that at that time this year? I also want to go to Rovaniemi. How to go to Rovaniemi from Tromso?
Yes, that period is excellent for watching the northern lights. There are a few things to be aware of, though. There is absolutly no guarantee you'll see it, it's most frequent in cold, clear weather. Also, you'll need to get out of Tromsø to fully enjoy it, since the artificial lights of a city may completely ruin the sights.
This video is not from the "tropical part" of Norway. The west coast line of Norway have a different climate than rest of Norway. Far south in Norway you can have up to 3 months of tropical heat and sun all the time with no rain at all for months.
No such thing as a drone license in Norway. Just avoid restricted areas (ie airports and military installments/camps), and you're not doing anything wrong or illegal.
Nice!!! I too will be visiting soon. Are some of the shots taken by a drone? I also wanna use my drone but am a little bit hesitant with all the supposed paper works like permits/certification etc needed. Did you guys have to get permits or it's not really necessary? Thanks!
Nice video, but it's full of false/wrong information. Here's a few of the major ones: "The further north you wanna go in Norway, the more ferries you're going to have to take". Eehhh... no, that's NOT true at all. You can drive the main road from Oslo all the way to North Cape, and you only have to take ONE ferry (from Bognes to Skarberget). That's a distance of almost 2100 km (1300 miles). There are only some few areas where there are a lot of ferries (mainly the coastal road south from Bodø, and parts of western Norway). Atlanterhavsveien (the Atlantic ocean road) is NOT dangerous, that's a ridiculous rumour spread among youtubers. It's ONLY somewhat dangerous in heavy storms, and when that happens, it gets closed. Trondheim is NOT in Northern Norway... To get from Trondheim to the "gate" that marks the entrance to Northern Norway, called "Nordlandsporten", you have to drive around 300 km (almost 190 miles) further north. You don't "enter" the arctic circle, you cross it. Consider it a border. And you call Lofoten a "place in the arctic circle". No, it's in the arctic REGION - again, the CIRCLE is just a thin line, a border. Lofoten: "In the winter the sun barely ever rises, only seeing glimpses of it". That's ONLY true for a few weeks, NOT the entire winter, FAR from it.

Thank you for informing us about the proper terminology and correct information! We appreciate you taking the time to explain it us. It can be hard sometimes to get all the right information from the internet sometimes so thank you for clearing that up for us!
Yes the corrections are accurate, but you don’t have to sound so angry 😅 Fellow Norwegian
