I still get those attacks too from time to time, the thoughts that can cross your mind when it happens can be pretty wild, intense. Prayers bro & it's good to hear from you.

I got schizophrenia too. On meds. still sucks. ohwell
Gabe, I used to have panic attacks very often.Sometimes, they would come out of no where and other times you could feel one building. Absolutely horrible feeling and death was imminent... at any time. I live about 2 miles from a county hospital so, I would get in my car and hope that I didn't crash since, I felt weak from the high heart rate but, usually made it there and luckily, they would take me right in over a lot of people waiting to be seen. A psych nurse told me that a panic attack has never single handidly kill anyone. I slowly grew out of them which you will do over time. Xanax is a good med to take, when you feel you need it, but, as you know, it's hard to get now. I'm 71 & haven't had one in over 35 years. Hang in there and there is one more thing....when you feel one coming on, get an ice cube, wrap it single ply in a paper towel, lie down on your back, placing the ice cube on your jugular (left side of neck) and hold it there for 15 minutes. It will work to stop the attack.
I know. I also hear angels and speak with the kitten folk. I'm not being rude or dismissive although it sounds silly. And I don't go in the basement either because of what my aunt and cousin did to me so if you wanna talk or something I enjoy a good back and forth
