When they reversed hands, it's a bit like starting over again. You have more knowledge of course, but the motorics just aren't there. Which is why it sounds quite a bit like someone who just picked up violin. So that had me wonder, how long did she have that phase for. We all start from nothing, but you have to imagine she blew past that phase very quickly, and so it's possible she actually doesn't really even remember playing like that ever.

They look so surprised when she's playing the violin like a cello, but as a percussionist I can tell you that the control of something like that comes entirely from the wrist. So, Chloe did well because she kept her wrist straight and at a natural angle while Brett didn't because he was trying to become a mantis.

I guess it's because of the way she was/is being brought up. Even though Singapore is a modern metropolis and highly developed city, the people there are still pretty set in the old ways. Therefore, respect for your elders/seniors is still being taught, as well as humility, and is an essential part of life (although not everyone in Singapore is like that). So, for Chloe, this isn't something that she does on camera, it really is who she is all the time, which is a testament to her parent for bringing her up the right way, regardless of her talents. Twoset, for their part was just doing the same in kind.

Young prodigies like Chloe are so rare that most of the people don't know their personalities (since they have never met or seen one in real life) and probably just assume they're not very extrovert or all they do is practicing 40 hrs a day and all kinds of stereotypes people have toward a "prodigy", so it's really nice to see how these talented kids being normal people just like all of us.

I can’t stop smiling listening to and watching Chloe being so great and having fun. Fear and bravery all at the same time from everyone. I love watching the guys being in awe of such amazing talent and still able to engage and have fun. I’d just be standing frozen with my jaw on the ground the whole time. Wow! The world needs more people like this.
