Okay so there's quite a few posts about not having Conditional Finality so I'm going to make a more comprehensive post about alternatives. In my experience, Aggressive frames (fire rate increase on kill) with Trench (50% damage boost) were the best option. Trench Barrel is currently one of the best damage perks (beating out Enhanced Surrounded) you can get on a shotgun. Craftable options include: Wastelander/Imperial Decree/Until its Return/Ikelos SG Some of my biggest issues with trying a Rapid Fire with Trench Barrel was the frequency of punch necessity. A Sudden Death/Compass Rose/Retrofuturist/Perfect Paradox are your other options for Trench Barrel. A Slug with Surrounded (Supercluster, No Reprieve, Retold Tale) could work, but then your damage varies much more depending on the setup. You would pair any of these with a Tractor Cannon, using it as your panic tool/champion/boss debuff weapon. I would recommend using it on spawns to turn them off/pick up a fast Void Overshield as well. Fourth Horseman: You'll need to focus more on orb production. Your ability to deal with champions is much better, but you need to have a lot more awareness of both your ammo count and your ability to consistently produce said ammo. Special finders are not good enough. You might need to focus into having an Ill Omens with attrition orbs or some other method of making additional orbs. KT/Attrition Multimach if you can get it, or other methods if you can't. Focusing more into melee can help but also won't allow you to pick up Overshields as easily. (Post Galvanic leaving, this will make it harder to survive.) Duality: Less ammo intensive than Fourth Horseman, and you can swap to Glacier grenade to have some means of producing more Diamond Lances off freeze. It doesn't punch through champions nearly as easily, so you'll need to be a lot more careful. It's a fun gun to use and takes some getting used to. I'm not sure if it'll hold up without Solar Surges, where Conditional has additional utility outside of its Solar damage. Chaperone: Bungie said they were going to buff it. If the buff is significant enough, it might be worth using. If there are any other questions please let me know and I'll try to answer them. This is a harder build and it took me a while to get used to. Thanks for reading!
Highly recommend trying it on void with offensive bulwark and controlled demolition. Every normal melee while overshielded counts as a charged melee so everything that gets punched becomes volatile. Killing more enemies while overshielded gives more overshields. At the gm level invis finisher helps with this loop a lot as well as pairing it with a repulsor brace weapon whenever the shotgun isn't available.
This is what I've been doing! Been having a BLAST assploding everything. My go to for constant kabloomies? Elsie's Rifle with Rewind Rounds & Destabilising Rounds, chuck out the Shield Toss, ping pong around trash = OS, tons of Grenade Ability Regen, using Scatter Grenades for pretty much everything other than GM's where Vortex is just a bit better. Also! Sleeper pick for Shotgun choice. Someday from the Pale Heart with Enhanced Duel Loader & Recombination! 3 Shells loaded each reload & Recombination does BIG damage against Shields/Yellow Bars!
Definitely has better synergy with void… not that Prismatic doesn’t have different things it adds. The Offensive Bulwark/Controlled Demolition has great synergy… buffs Shield Bash very strong with all of that and void has some of the best fragments in the game it seems like. Very rarely on a subclass are you really like “I wish I had one more slot to fit this in” and in void I always find myself wishing I had one or even two more slots.
I would recommend Imperial Decree (Trench Barrel) and Tractor Cannon. If you don't have Imperial Decree, you can run other Trench Barrel shotguns. One of the main issues is you would prefer to have a Stasis shotgun (Fractethyst) for the purpose of Diamond Lance but that's hard to get right now. Kinetic is next best because you're a little unbalanced on Light/Dark, or run an Energy one. A Sudden Death would be good. It'll make the rhythm a little different, but I think it can work.
I've been running Someday from the Pale Heart with Enhanced Duel Loader x Recombination. You load 3 Shots per every reload & Recombination does BIG damage against Shields/Yellow Bars! Paired with an Elsie's Rifle for Barriers with Rewind Rounds x Destabilising Rounds. You can get your 10 Second OS with EASE! Kill one enemy, Destabilising blast, throw shield melee = OS & then go crazy with the Shotgun!
I’m one of those lucky a$$h*les that got it on my first drop. That and Touch of Malice. Mythoclast on the other hand….oh the pain…..24 runs of VOG 😓. I can honestly say that this build is kick ass. I was running something similar just before Prismatic dropped and Conditional Finality is not an option for me. It’s a must for this build.
Gotta say dude that your build videos are All Killer, No Filler - absolutely 10/10 every time so far. Posted this in a group chat and one of the responses was "I cannot wait to get home to try this". Top work mate!
By far one of the most fun I’ve had on a titan and was surprisingly really strong. I did -60 onslaught yesterday and blew through it with ease and was able to eviscerate any champ or boss. Shit had me feeling like a true doom slayer
I've been running my own version of the phoniex dive build, one with vesper and another with dawn chorus, im excited to try this one. Please keep up with these niche builds their such a breath if fresh air in this prismatic build exotic class item filled wasteland
I just wanted to say thank you. This build has been some of the most fun I have had just playing random stuff ever. Your videos are insanely high quality and just amazing. It's baffling you don't have more subs. Please make more "off meta/creative" builds. It helps me see the gear I forget/discard.
Immediately took this build and while I was happy with it I wanted to push it just a bit further alongside finding ways to break past the lack of owning an attrition orbs parabellum so I tweaked it a little. Mainly I swapped out devotion and purpose for awakening and balance, the shatter and ignition kills will funnel back into your melee and nade more frequently, (really helpful for the melee overshield since it’s the ten second one), not to mention the elemental pickups granted energy are the opposite compliments for the balance fragment. Also speaking of grenades, I personally made the swap for glaciers due to preferring the utility of a wall and the crowd clearing of the shatter but that’s preference. Lastly I did end up swapping some mods on the arms, mostly the melee energy from nade damage to a heavy handed mod instead. Remember, knockout kills count as powered melee kills for the sake of orb generation, helping with getting even more orb charge for finishers.
no fucking way, I also made a build using that exotic in the last two days and tested in the same lost sectors. Great minds think alike. Mines on void with fourth horseman, invis assassin titan. Once we get the overshield buff and amped damage res is gone running this on void is probably gonna be the best subclass for it.
build is cool, I tried it in a few master lost sectors and it’s pretty fun when it works. I’ve been wanting to make a build with a 70 stat NBPs I got in a gm. the build will only get better next season with the void overshield buff and barricades drawing aggro, this will stay in a loadout slot for sure. I remember they also talked about extending the range of shotguns for pve somewhere as well, I hope they also walk back the conditional nerf of freezing / igniting at long ranges (at least for pve)
Yeah I noticed Conditional used to have the ability to ignite/freeze multiple targets when pellets would connect but now it doesn't do that anymore. Just a single target.
so when you use your finisher if you had like a exotic titan mark that had the felwinter perk that would be nutty then have the mod where having orbs consumes them and give you special ammo
Have you tried out a shotgun loadout with the buffs yet? I'm a new player, don't have conditional finality either, but would love to try and use shotguns for once!!!
This made me want to try Doom for the first time, with the new game coming out ive seen some of the gameplay and this build is legit just that. They both have shields they both have a double barrel what more could I want?
curious if replacing knockout with unbreakable after it gains a taunt would be viable, imagining a fully aggro drawing shotgun weilding NBP tita would be fantastically fun
The main issue with Unbreakable on Prismatic is you're losing a CC for a taunt which doesn't help out as much. I like the concept but Unbreakable is actually worse on Prismatic. (On Void you can make Orbs for teammates.) One tech I've heard of but haven't tried yet is canceling it to keep the charge (sprinting/swapping) and getting free energy off it. Which could be useful.
If you do a Master lost sector, you get the chance to have double perks in one of these columns. (This also causes all world drops to drop with a second perk in this column.) Certain Master lost sectors this season (revenant) are glitched where if you run them and don't get a drop you'll get a double double perk roll. I don't know if it's well explained yet. It worked on Chamber of Starlight for me. (I don't know if this is rotating or a chance or what just yet.)
Damn, I need the shotgun guess I ain't using this build. After doing 50+ runs of VoG and not getting Vex Mythoclast it took a lot of my will to raid out of me ngl. Plus I'm queer and this community has been filling with people who complain about DEI and "woke" despite not knowing what either of those terms actually means and I don't feel comfortable interacting with the community anymore. I've already had people kick me just for running the trans emblem
Hey, saw this comment. Have you considered joining the d2sanctuary discord? They're a community of stellar people, lgbtq+ positive and don't require a mic for running raids. They help people pretty often to do raids. It's rough out there, we gotta be kind to each other.

Exactly what I was looking for thank you
Once the void overshield is buffed, this will become really good
Even better, we can run and gun with the unbreakable aspect + more ways to get overshield
Moreover they are increasing shotgun range in pve by 70 %
Peak just dropped
Did not expect to see a real build with my favorite exotic armor

that’s why he includes substitutions!!! so everyone can use the build!

I played this since no backup plan got reworked, so much fun

Well after playing around more, I did swap balance back to purpose, the overshield on orbs is a lot stronger than I initially gave it credit.
Perfect, a build for my Conditional Finality. IF I HAD ONE!

@@arav384 I know, I'm using Duality instead. It just sucks that I don't have it. ;-;

Love your build videos. The analysis and demonstration of them in action is what I love most.

these builds are amazing mate nicely done
In the first golden age… in the battle of twilight gap…. There he stood…
have a different variation of this build myself, liked and subscribed because you get the same power fantasy
peak build
Love the doom vibes, fantastic vid, subbed.
Using this to get the Lord of Wolves catalyst finished then all shotgun builds haha
He did it again, how does this guy do it?!

I think you can situationally balance this builds range weakness by using a destabilizing repulsor primary and a chill clip heavy.
