Man Kalief story should never be forgotten he is one brave individual who stood up for his rights that is the point if his story. People looked at him crazy for being real and not admitting to crime he didn't commit!
Kalief Browder Brother's And Sister's Should Get Paid From The State Of New York And All The Wrongs What Them Prison Guards Did To Him!! And Also Using Blood Bath Cages And Locked Room's For Youth Detention Center's As Fighting Grounds For Innocent Imprisonment Inmates.. That Can't Escape Them Crooked Guards.
After watching “when you see us” I came back here because Korey Wise story regarding his stay at Rikers was so similar to Kaliefs, what happened in 1989 is still apparently happening!!its disgusting what these young men have been through!!! Absolutely disgusting!!!
Imani kalief was being gang stalked by the police was getting text stating ... we warned you but you didn’t listen. Plus the medication he was given had horrible side effects. Korey wasn’t at rikers the enter time of his jail sentence he was transferred to another prison. It seems Korey had a kinder CO compared to what Kalief went through. Even Korey if you look at his face their is still pain.
I didn't think too much of it before I clicked on the docuseries on Netflix. But after, it was just too emotional and I could barely get through the series. I'm like so into his story and it hurts. I signed the ShutDownRikers petition yesterday and it feels good to have a part in doing something for kalief ❤️ #RipKBandVB
Kalief needed a change of environment and ongoing therapy to help with the injustice he endured. Instead of helping him, everyone wanted a story and stuck a camera in his face. Now we have the story and no Kalief! R.I.P!
All these stories have situations where dad straight up abandoned mom and babies..these young men are all supported and held together by their moms...brothers we MUST do better
I just watched this documentary last night and I can’t even think straight right now. I know soo many men going through this but his story is something I have never seen before. Then I also watched a documentary on the hurricane Maria that hit Puerto Rico. Those people are left with nothing. Now some of them are homeless. 😦 I am so upset that things needs to change. One day, I will change them. I just hope that everyone follows with me.
This was the most powerful sadist intense thing I've ever watched, Time I watched it days ago and I still can't stop thinking about it this kid is a hero he took a stand I do not think any other man or woman on this Earth could have he's an inspiration to me. When I start getting negative thinking my life sucks I'll think of him every time I think about giving up his face will pop in my head RIP Kalief
The system is broken. You're incentivized to admit guilt rather than protect and proclaim your innocence. Most that are caught up in the system are indigent and alone. They do not have the capacity to rival the resources of the state.
So much hurt, my brother was killed by guards in texas when he refused to sell drugs for them, he was attacked and his shoulder was broken, my brother sued and won a judgement against officers there, shortly after he was told he had 12 days to live and that he would never see that money . My brother went to the warden who ignored him, I wrote to several officials who brushed me off and they killed him saying he committed suicide but he was basically decapitated and we had to fight to get his body and his belongings and thats where we discovered his last letter actually the hard trace because they destroyed his letter. The funeral director here at golden gate said to my mom, this was no suicide he was almost decapitated and told us several young men had all come from Tennessee colony michael unit all supposed to have killed themselves in the last month. Its painful to talk about
Be assured God dont sleep , wicked people and oppressers could hide from man but not from God, They have they corrupt justice But God gives heavenly justice, God knows when and how to deal with evil people wait on the Lord be of good courage
I hate when celebrities just talk for views instead of trying to change how the jails and prisons work anyone has a opinion Jay z has the voice to do alot stuff still going on like this till this day when are people really going to do something about that instead of just talking for TV if jayz was real about carein he should do more but stories like this will always happen till everyone says enough is enough people like they care when cameras rolling look at yourself and tell me do u know who u are and what u fighting for then ask yourself do u really care
#KaliefBrowder never forget him! Please include the Kalief Browder case in every Law School! every High School! and make sure every mother tell their Black child about #KALIEFBROWDER
Poor lady , I dont even have any children but I could only imagine how much sacrifices she made just to raise Kalief and the pain thats in her heart, Lady be encouraged you are loved a legend in your own rights
celebrities seen this happen why didnt yall save him u guys have all this money save these inocent dont wait till its to late this is bull crap now yall speak after the man has died what a shame yall could have gotten him help so stop coming on here like yall care now what a mess all about money politics an to be seen a shame now to lives are loss i believe all of us
Bro I watch the documentary series so many times I really feel bad for what happen to this brave young man he didnt deserve this at 16 getting beating by guards or other prisionors every famn day for nothing no food no showers in confinement OMG im in tears its just tragic god he never really got the justice that he really wanted🖤🖤😡😡🙏🌍
I am now sending Kaliefs story to others phone through youtube in my country because He was a good kid a decent young man a bright and shining light but being born black in america put him at a big disadvantage
$900 ???? 3 years ?? And for what was thought of as a stolen backpack 😳😳🤔😔 There is some big names involved with this project. With some big donations and fundraising. Millions could be raised Think of how many $900 bails could be paid so that something as silly as a possible stolen bag would mean NO JAIL TIME AT ALL for young first timers or simple theft or all first time offenders In Canada. U r given a court date to attend for something like theft right there at the store. Or if brought to the police station u r released the same day. No bail money for these kinds of crimes We don’t have a perfect system. Not like some other countries around the world. Who Offer help to live a more productive life on the outside if u have committed a more serious crime. The stats speak for themselves. The amount of people returning to jail is beyond impressive with very few actually reoffending. The system in the States is set up like a business No empathy Just the dollar Horrific. No help in site. Just punishment for crimes that really should have never seen jail time at all Maybe a donation. The way the system is set up. With ridiculous minimum wages. No where close to a living wage. Or reasonable housing costs How do u expect people to not eat or feed their families when they r released With no training etc released with no money How do U think people coming out of such a system will behave. They still have the same problems they had going in. Now just add about 10 more stresses It’s a system made to fail Just more money for the owners that already have enough It’s rigged Instead of finding a solution for their actions They are treated like a number to be set up to fail once released to make sure they can collect from a persons wasted life the next time they can’t feed their family. SHAME
The system failed this kid and it was multiple people in different times. I've seen the rikers island videos. Where is this Spanish guy that false accused him. He should be held accountable as well he fled to Mexico why?
Kalief had a bright star that they tried to tie down but God loosed it even in death his star is shining , I am not american but his story has touched me , I want to say to his mum you did a great job in raising him , He was strong just like you from what I see but there is only so much that one human been can take, God knows best
i guess God needed him an his mom more what a sad sad story and this happens every day shut these horrible jails an prison down get these officers an police guys out who dont help the helpless this is horrble

Kewana Nedd plus he was attacked and stabbed. The police was gang stalking him sending him messages. They wouldn’t leave him alone.

Kalief you are one of my generation. You were so strong and young. Love you always we cant forget
Kalief needed a change of environment and ongoing therapy to help with the injustice he endured. Instead of helping him, everyone wanted a story and stuck a camera in his face. Now we have the story and no Kalief! R.I.P!
This breaks my heart. It's crazy how often this happens.

This story is an important testiment to the 'success' of U.S. criminal justice system.
The system is broken. You're incentivized to admit guilt rather than protect and proclaim your innocence. Most that are caught up in the system are indigent and alone. They do not have the capacity to rival the resources of the state.
The system works fine. It;s not perfect, but it works. What are your suggestions to improve the system ?
@Rex, you must be a republican and white
It's not broken the system is doing it's exactly designed to do. This is on purpose.
It's actually not broken, which is frightening. It works just as designed.

JZ should have done more to help him,.
Wow
A mother who prided herself on not taking herself...and then, she ended up dead, because of exactly that: she was beyond care. Vale mater.
Great segment, Deion is well spoken. I asked Jehovah to keep my babies while still toddlers.
