  • Welcome back to Drifting South!
This week I am flying North to visit family before flying to work for the summer. Im going to be enjoying time in my home town with familiar faces and so much emotional support. As a seasonal worker, transitioning from one life to another every 6 months can be emotional so I am grateful for all the love and support I get from my family and friends back home. I miss them so much when Im away working or traveling but they are supporting of that lifestyle too. As long as Im happy, they are happy and I feel the same way about them.
I am missing Brent and Minnie. Especially after spending so much time together living full-time RV life. Dealing with all sorts of new challenges and environments while traveling 3 different countries we have learned how to live together and work together, how to give each other space and how to communicate. Now all of a sudden being so far away from them and knowing you won't see each other for months.
Next week I will be on a boat running up the west coast of British Columbia to Rivers Inlet where I will spend my summer cooking for the owner and his family, staff and a few guests. I look forward to sharing that all with you in upcoming videos!
Thank you smooch for watching and if you haven't already, please consider subscribing to my channel.
    Take care until next time!

Thank you so much! I’m so happy that you’re enjoying the videos! RVing in Mexico this year was such a great adventure. It was our first time and I’m excited for next winter! But I’m also happy to be up here in Rivers Inlet. So many beautiful places in the world to visit.
Thank you for the lovely comment!

You mentioned struggling with feelings of guilt. I understand what you mean but every one of us does the best we can with what we’ve got. There are many in this world with far less than we have and there are many with more than we can imagine. But we’re each put here to do our best and I applaud you for doing your best always. My dad always showed me that as long as we give more than we receive the world will be a much better place. You do that every day. Thank you again.

I heard your comment about struggling with guilt. My friend live a similar lifestyle. They have had to deal with guilt as well as resentment. You are on the right path. Just not one most can walk. I'm really enjoying your videos.

Thank you so much for that. I appreciate you Scott. There are some strange feelings that come along with full-time RV life. I do feel like I’m on the right path however. I feel very fortunate to live such a life. Thank you so much for this comment. Take care.

Welcome home, Jen. A little more relaxed, a tad browner, and as always, a sparkling smile. Enjoy your time with family before you're back into the grind.

Thank you Robin! I hope my travels next week go smoothly. Brent does pretty well on his own with food. Not quite the variety I offer but I know he will be ok haha I think it’s the dishes he will struggle with the most.
Thanks for watching and I’ll see you on the next video!

    Another Great Video!
Hope you had a good Holiday.
Maybe can make a shap to drap over and cover the boats air tube to protect it. I see people do it for UV protection. Perhaps a little stronger one for pinhole protection.

Did you happen to visit a town called La Ventana? I'm heading down there(from 108 Mile)to do some fly fishing late June/early July and wondered what sort of amenities there was. Is your husband still going to be down there then? He's a fly fisherman so he's welcome to come along.

I hope you have a great trip! I have not visited that area yet.
Brent will be traveling around to many lakes in B.C. this summer filming for Government sponsored fly fishing /tourism videos.

Yes he is! He lived part time in Panama for a few years and has spent months in Costa Rica. It’s so great to have a Spanish speaking person around!!
