as someone who has 2 mounts from doing 10s of thousands of runs, this is bullshit, i ran 30 islands today and got ONE piece of transmog thats it. Now they are just gonna give it all away for nothing. I feel bad for everyone who has all the mounts. All the mounts will be lame now, all the transmog will be worth 100g a piece. I was looking forward to doing this in the next expansion to make some gold, but there goes that. So sick of the casuals in this game, and blizzard catering to them. This just feels like a HUGE slap in the face for what ive been doing for most the expansion, if you can't tell im a little pissed off right now.

They nerfed the mount drop rates into the fucking gutter. I'm actually fuming, I've grinded so many islands. Instead of putting shit to just straight up buy with dubloons, they make them loot chests. They looked ok on ptr with high drop rates, but they ACTUALLY FUCKING NERFED THEM INTO OBLIVION. I'm so done with this shit.
Its the LOOT BOX MECHANICs we now from Activision You will have to grind out a lot to find out how bad the drop rate is. So your bound to play more than you wanted to. Wich is more Sub Time. They could just make them store mounts. RaR Worldmobs have such bad spawn & droprates for mounts that you can farm them for months and only see them twice. Its Grind for the Sake of Grind. Its not FUN camping rars every day for weeks. Its a BAD Game!
My guess is they will nerf the drop rate for mounts once it hits live. Also i think this is also aimed at draining ppl of their dubloons so once they add new rewards down the road you have a reason to start farming isle exp again

How much of the loot will be soulbound versus true B.O.E.? If it is BOE, after a month you will be able to buy all this stuff for copper rather than gold.

I hate this so much. Look at it this way. I know that some people are lazy and want to take the easy way out. You work hard, every single weekend you farm IE and you finally get the Parrot mount. You boast to the guild, and people think it's special. People stop to look at this super rare mount, with envy. Patch 8.3 hits and everybody has this shit... MULTIPLE! Why can't there be rare mounts anymore. Why does every single lazy ass child and his mother have to have every mount handed out to them a few months after the hard working people finally get their hands on it. It makes it feel like such a huge waste of time, and honestly it feels like blizzard spat in my face when they did this.

Been playing more or less weekly since BfA launch with several toons and no mounts yet. The RNG is just disheartening.

three things are the mounts able to be sold. are you able to get all armor types. and are you able to the item that starts the quest for achievement

Island expedition mounts were never cool. They're just more mounts I'll never ride as I prepare for the 450/500 mount achievements in Shadowlands.
