SHELBY MANIA! 200x GT500 and GT350 Visit the HQ Heritage Center

- The Shelby American HQ plays host to a gathering of hundreds of Shelby Mustangs! It's not every day you see such an incredible display of GT350s and GT500s visiting the Heritage Centre in Las Vegas, and what a sight and sound it is!
Having traveled cross country in my Shelby GT500 on the Where's Shmee: US Edition tour, I became aware of the planned gathering by a number of regional Shelby owners clubs to gather at the weekly Shelby American Heritage Centre's Cars and Coffee and naturally it was crucial to attend and re-visit the same location I had taken my Ford GT on the tour with it in the USA.
With the day very much set up to go with the flow, we set off with my friend @JosephGattOfficial and his GT500 as well, to head straight to the gathering to be greeted by huge numbers of Shelbys in a complete array of the colours available. In fact, there are so many cars present it becomes an overflow into the surrounding area, and that's all in addition to the cars being worked on inside.
The Heritage Centre is home to the museum including continuation models of the GT40, Cobra and Dayona Coupe, as well as many of the significant Mustang variations from the years including the first 1967 GT500 Super Snake. Of course it's also an active workshop with various projects and models to explore during a private tour around the building.
As things wind down there are a lot of Mustangs lined up to depart from the event, and despite the odds every single one manages to keep it on the road (JOKE! Don't be triggered) with some incredible sounds to listen over in the process. From there, it's a short hop to lunch for our group before we head towards the Valley of Fire and some of the most incredible scenery of the entire US tour.

Buying the Shelby GT500 was a super smart choice that made the whole trip so enjoyable to watch. I can't even imagine what it would be like if you had a different car.

I think it would have been cool to see him also in a corvette. I’m a big Ford guy, but I think a corvette would be cool to see, preferably a C7 Z06 or ZR1.

@@humanfirst11 nah, that's only for an original movie car, you can buy certified copies from 80k up to 250k, depends on the specs.
But it will take around 1 year to build one. You can either bring your own 1967 Mustang Fastback or they will buy one for you and do the modification on them.

I'd recommend heading to Colorado and checking out the Shelby American collection, it's an absolutely incredible amalgamation of Cobras, Mustangs, and GT40s!

It looks like your green-colored Shelby is pretty unique in that gathering. I'm a bit surprised because it's a color that makes you smile just looking at it, just like that drivetrain does after you light it up . . it just fit's!

I may not have many memories with my dad, but one I do have is visiting the Shelby Plant in the early 2000's when I was in my early teens, have always and will always love Shelby automobiles, particularly the Cobra and the Series 1 which both were on display back then.
Being a small kid and watching that convoy must have been mind and ear blowing.........new subscribers and more turned into gearheads/petrolheads ........... just in time for the highways sounding like a washing machine convention in 30 years
