    2. SOUNDBITE: (English) George W. Bush, US President:
"My fellow citizens, events in Iraq have now reached the final days of decision. For more than a decade, the United States and other nations have pursued patient and honorable efforts to disarm the Iraqi regime without war. That regime pledged to reveal and destroy all its weapons of mass destruction as a condition for ending the Persian Gulf War in 1991. Since then, the world has engaged in 12 years of diplomacy. We have passed more than a dozen resolutions in the United Nations Security Council. We have sent hundreds of weapons inspectors to oversee the disarmament of Iraq. Our good faith has not been returned."

    4. SOUNDBITE: (English) George W. Bush, US President
"In recent days, some governments in the Middle East have been doing their part. They have delivered public and private messages urging the dictator to leave Iraq, so that disarmament can proceed peacefully. He has thus far refused. All the decades of deceit and cruelty have now reached an end. Saddam Hussein and his sons must leave Iraq within 48 hours. Their refusal to do so will result in military conflict, commenced at a time of our choosing. For
their own safety, all foreign nationals, including journalists and inspectors, should leave Iraq immediately."

    6. SOUNDBITE: (English) George W. Bush, US President
"If we must begin a military campaign, it will be directed against the lawless men who rule your country (Iraq) and not against you. As our coalition takes away their power, we will deliver the food and medicine you need. We will tear down the apparatus of terror and we will help you to build a new Iraq that is prosperous and free. In a free Iraq, there will be no more wars of aggression against your neighbours, no more poison factories, no more executions of dissidents, no more torture chambers and rape rooms. The tyrant will soon be gone. The day of your liberation is near."

    8. SOUNDBITE: (English) George W. Bush, US President
"Our government is on heightened watch against these dangers. Just as we are preparing to ensure victory in Iraq, we are taking further actions to protect our homeland. In recent days, American authorities have expelled from the country certain individuals with ties to Iraqi intelligence services. Among other measures, I have directed additional security of our airports, and increased Coast Guard patrols of major seaports. The Department of Homeland
Security is working closely with the nation's governors to increase armed security at critical facilities across America. Should enemies strike our country, they would be attempting to shift our attention with panic and weaken our morale with fear. In this, they would fail. No act of theirs can alter the course or shake the resolve of this country. We are a peaceful people, yet we're not a fragile people, and we will not be intimidated by thugs and killers. If our enemies dare to strike us, they and all who have aided them, will face fearful consequences. We are now acting because the risks of inaction would be far greater."

@@Manu-vv4ef You're incorrect on multiple counts. 1 Iraq had the fascilities to produce a weapon of mass destruction in under 6 months. The facilities were actively staffed and under operation at the time of our invasion. 2 The FBI, Britain's FBI, and every other national intelligence agency including those in Germany, France, Russia, and Italy all believed Sadam had these weapons. Sadam never provided proof that he didn't have them, actively defied dozens of UN resolutions aimed at disarming him. He acted like he was hiding them, so what else was all these countries supposed to think? 12 years of diplomacy did not work. Sadam managed to convince the world he had weapons of mass destruction, so what other result could there have been? 3. Bush never promised to make heaven out of war. He promised a better life for the people of Iraq once their new government got established and the country was rebuilt. He never promised it would happen over night. 4. The War in Iraq is effectively over. We have very few troops there. The reality is, if the Suni's and Shiite's would stop killing eachother, Iraq would be so much more stable. That's what killed the most civilians. It wasn't the war. It was sectarian violence. Violence amongst themselves.

Reason is simple, US need Saudi money and oil, USA have more than 6000 nukes which is number of nukes of UK, France, China, India, Pakistan, N Korea, Israel combined, (Russia also have same as US) and is the only country to use it against a human population and USA see threat when someone else even say word "Nuke". 3.) Just Imagine Ally UK bombs US to kill enemy of UK and promise people of USA of a better life but not delivered for next 50, 55 years, what will US people do? Wait & Watch? Do you have any idea on number of kids died in US strikes in several Asian countries? imagine N Korea bombs Washington tomorrow and kills hundreds of kids and calls it 'Collateral" because that's what US calls it when children die in their strikes, "Collateral". 4.) I$IS only came to prominence recently. The USA invaded Iraq in 2003 and occupied it for a few years in which they looted resources such as oil. I$IS started their insurgency after that. Saddam may have been a tyrant but at least he kept Iraq stable. Right now the country may be a democracy but it is far from stable. I$IS plundered the country in the 2010s and it took everyone in the region to restrain them. The result was nothing but constant suffering of the Iraqi people, before and after Saddam.

The Iraq War was a terrible mistake made by America. Defending the Saudi Kingdom from a regime that was attempting to take Saudi Arabia’s oil to help fund its war against Iran (which Iraq was losing) a war in which the Saudi’s funded. Was an ok move. But choosing to invade Iraq several years after that war was a terrible move.
For starters: America had successfully defended Saudi Arabia and liberated Kuwait from Iraq, during that process the Iraqi army and its infrastructure were completely destroyed. So, WTF is Sedam gonna do with a country who’s infrastructure is bust, and has no army? Nothing! Exactly! And even if- EVEN IF. Sedam DID have weapons of mass destruction, he would’ve NEVER had used them without a strong army to support it. So! The ONLY THING AMERICA DID BY INVADING IRAQ was create a dangerous rebel group (due to the lack of government) that strongly enforces hostile activity, that has now put Iraq into a situation where it CANT REBUILD until this group is destroyed. But because Iraq no longer has its own army, countries like America, Great Britain, and Russia have to send THEIR armies in to destroy it before reconstruction can begin. Essentially, thanks to America, it’s a BIG HOT FUCKING MESS IN IRAQ RIGHT NOW.

      @Musse2009 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Idontuploadhereanymore Wow, you're such an idiot if you actually think Iraq is a free nation and a democracy. Saddam made alot of bad decisions and alot of good decisions, nobody is perfect so what the hell do you expect? I'll give you a list of things that existed when he was in power:
There was not as much extremism or terrorist actions (close to none) before the invasion because Saddam kept that under control with a strict government.
      → There was no ISIS.
→ The economy and the Iraqi dinar was top notch.
→ Iraq was respected amongst the worldwide community and viewed as one of the richest countries in the world with their large amounts of oil reserves and importing/exporting.
→Having an Iraqi passport was something valued
→ The Iraqi identity was kept as ONE Iraq. Not divided.
→ The Assyrian’s, Turkmen, Shia Arabs, Kurds, and so forth, all identified as being Iraqi regardless of their own inner beliefs/political thoughts because Saddam made sure that Iraq was maintained as one united country that had Arabic as the main and only language to converse in.
→ Military spending and emphasis was at the peak during Saddam’s time. Iraq didn’t have a weak military.
→ Iraqi relations with other countries was relatively stable.
→ Others across the world visited Iraq to see it’s historical sights and ancient Babylonian temples, etc.
      Today without him in power:
→ Iraq is divided into regions. Each region is controlled by a certain ethnic group. Baghdad is mainly controlled by the Shi’a, Northern Iraq is the Kurdistan Autonomous Region, Kirkuk was Kurdish-controlled until it was given up in October 2017, and a mixture of ethnicities predominantly in Basra, Mosul, etc.
→ Lots of influence from other countries, very easily, to say the least.
→ Weaker army. (E.g. 2014: ISIS appears and the Iraqi army can’t face them so they run away and the Kurdish forces take over Iraqi equipment and eventually risk their lives to defeat the fake muslims and take control without any fear or doubt)
→ Way more terrorism acts initiated compared to much less when Saddam held power.
→ Greater technology use in Baghdad, Hawler, Mosul, Kirkuk, etc
→ Building of infrastructure that was once not allowed in certain regions
→ Unstable government, not very constant but rather always altering and unsure who runs the COUNTRY as a whole..
→ Emergence of multiple political parties that never existed before or never had the right to say what they want to say
→ The lives of hundreds of thousands to millions of Iraqis have been lost since the toppling of Saddam and with the US invasion
→ A lot of migration from Iraq to other parts of the world, especially the Jewish community, Kurdish community, Assyrian and Chaldean.
→ Having an Iraqi passport now is very invaluable.
→The perception of Iraqi’s, as shown by the media over the years has embedded a very poor image in the minds of people all across Europe, Asia, America, Canada, etc.
So that to say, Iraq before was way better in shape that it is now. You're just an ignorant person who were so jelous that we had a better life than you. You talk about Saddam oppressing his people when you are doing the same thing by forcing countries into democracy by military attacks as if you think you own the world. Because ever since the end of the second world war, and later cold war, the US has been putting the planet on the verge of a new world war.

I am speaking to you from the cabinet room at 10 Downing St. This morning the British Ambassador in Berlin handed the German Government a final note stating that, unless we heard from them by 11 o'clock that they were prepared at once to withdraw their troops from Poland, a state of war would exist between us. I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this country is at war with Germany.
You can imagine what a bitter blow it is to me that all my long struggle to win peace has failed. Yet I cannot believe that there is anything more, or anything different, that I could have done, and that would have been more successful. Up to the very last it would have been quite possible to have arranged a peaceful and honourable settlement between Germany and Poland. But Hitler would not have it; he had evidently made up his mind to attack Poland whatever happened. And although he now says he put forward reasonable proposals which were rejected by the Poles, that is not a true statement. The proposals were never shown to the Poles, nor to us. And though they were announced in the German broadcast on Thursday night, Hitler did not wait to hear comments on them but ordered his troops to cross the Polish frontier the next morning.
His action shows convincingly that there is no chance of expecting that this man will ever give up his practice of using force to gain his will. He can only be stopped by force, and we and France are today in fulfillment of our obligations going to the aid of Poland who is so bravely resisting this wicked and unprovoked attack upon her people. We have a clear conscience, we have done all that any country could do to establish peace, but a situation in which no word given by Germany's ruler could be trusted, and no people or country could feel itself safe, had become intolerable. And now that we have resolved to finish it, I know that you will all play your parts with calmness and courage.

I think the earliest were actually those located in Turkey... Maybe that was even where Eden was located, but yes, very much a place of Antiquity. Evil was committed by Bush Jr when he invaded and having ignored the pleas of Archaeologists and historians did nothing to guard the Museum in Bagdad after taking it. Witnesses even said US soldiers went inside and apparently in a coordinated action hit and selectively looted the deep basement vaults... leaving stuff behind untouched that regular looters would have taken (like gold coins). I understand they also apparently visited some Ziggurats too. Looking perhaps for ancient tech? They hit Gilgamesh's tomb site and sent home all the archaeologists working there as well. This may have been the real reason for the invasion of Iraq. Would make more sense that looking for non existent weapons of mass destruction that Bush had been already advised by John Ritter that they didn't (or no longer did) exist.

When sociopaths run anything you get stuff like what happened during his presidency.

Spend a week working in any large money making company in New York, spend some time getting to know the rich young white guys who work in Tech on the East coast. The disturbing fact of the matter is this country's success is due to the elite sociopathy that ruthlessly refines itself to avoid detection, maintain interpersonal stability, and, above all else, succeed in all aspects of science, business and politics. White men shake with anger and ceaseless caution every step of their professional lives and abuse stimulants to cope. White men lie best and the most.
