I had voted for Bush and to me he was a disaster but some of my friends would defend him to the end. I was raised by a racist father and two of my sisters are raciest and they hated Obama and they would often say why but it was often thinly veiled racism. I look back on these short segments of President Obama, and it helps me to not give up hope.it helps settle my sick stomach, as to what we are faced with today.

The email thing was much to do about nothing. Colin Powell didn’t turn over his emails when he left. The email server thing had no more legal significance than breaking the rules of etiquette. Most people don’t understand the law.

I remember hearing Obama say something similar shortly after Trump was elected, that the Presidency shows you where your flaws- and as human beings we all have flaws- are, and it's up to you to face those flaws and make corrections. Sadly, people like Trump are too vain to admit they have flaws, and the nation has suffered because of it.

Being a Republican, I was excited seeing History being made with him winning. President Obama, is funny, kind, a wonderful speaker, empathetic and he did a great job leading this Country by example. I miss the days of having Elected officials that showed respect to one another and actually worked for American people. I miss the day's of Not seeing politicians on the news every few mins or reading news stories of all the infighting. I miss the day's when Congress passed bills and worked across the aisle. I miss the day's when children could look at the President as a role model. We have to demand that we get this back. We must leave this Country a better place than we had it.
