I also think that liking strong/confident people can help the Libra Rising sometimes. I personally like Aries Sun and Risings a lot although they are often too uncommitted/self-centered for me. :) Having capricorn in the 4th house is pretty intense and I wouldn't wish it on anyone but it might be helpful in the long run.
This is so accurate! I’d gotten goosebumps at the part about life already being handed to me which is what I’ve expressed to my therapist. I never had a say in my career path and that’s starting from age 5. I always had pressure and a lot of responsibility on my shoulders concerning my family and I’m breaking out of that since it caused me to have issues with anxiety and panic attacks. I love my family, but I wish they reciprocated that love back to me. I sacrificed a lot of my dreams for them and now I’m sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out my true talents.
ikr? I actually had a nervous breakdown when I was 35 (I'm 39 now.) It was like hitting the reset- button on my life. My trouble wasn't that my mom had chosen my career, but she did dominate everything else, telling me what I should like and want and feel. The usual emotional abuse. Career-wise, my biggest obstacle was that I was hard-working, smart and got people skills, but so little self esteem that I couldn't cope with the stress whenever my bosses promoted me. I ended up in therapy because of depression and anxiety for a few months, but developing self-awareness is an ongoing process. However, I started by visualizing my personality traits as famous people and comic book figures. There was Spongebob, Loki, Hulk, Marilyn Monroe... By now, the anxiety went away with my rising self-esteem.

Yeah my family had very high expectation of me from a young age ,i was very successful . Always on honor roll ,high grades ,top peformer in my class . But i started to go down hill in late middle school and high school . I stopped getting that recognition . It's like i only got praised for my achievements so my mom can brag about it . I dropped out of high school because i gave up ,my mother expectations were to high and nothing was never enough so i purposely dropped out .🤷🏿♀️it was to much for my well being

Thank you for sharing first of all. ;) I struggled my entire life of being a mother-type for four siblings, an alcoholic grandfather, a needy grandmother and a hard working single mother. Whew. I never had a childhood. I am dealing with trying to find what I want to do now in my late 30's. I've always wanted to be an artist and trained for it in undergrad but tried and hated jobs that my family and spouse wanted me to do for 20 years of my life and moved away from my artistic soul. I constantly heard 'Being an artist is ridiculous' and always got the side eye when I had a gallery show. But I am now developing the confidence to become an illustrator/artist and develop community arts programmes where I live (the public persona). This is sooo spot on.

My parents were “free range” before that was even a term... I was running around town without supervision from 1st grade onward. Didn’t do well with authority figures who tried to be domineering. Now that I’m older, I still need that freedom but I also crave stability. I do have extremely high expectations in work and relationships... People usually perform at a lower level than my level of performance at work. I do think it stems from my own insecurities and needing to be “perfect.”
Your self-awareness seems keen - I love that! If you truly believe you high performance stems from insecurity, I would suggest doing some deep diving concerning your motivations and "end goals." If you can reach high performance using negative influences, you can do the same using positive influences. You don't want to change your character and expression - too much - but you do want to change what fuels that character and expression ... if, as of now, that fuel is insecurity. I was raised by my grandparents and they didn't care what i did. They just pretty much said do what you want. Very cold, unloving, unaffectionate childhood. Lots of chaos and instability. I had to leave home inorder to create that peaceful stable environment ive always wanted. As I've gotten older I've tried being loving and friendly to people but i see that they just take you for granted and dont really care about you at the end of the day. Im just focusing on myself from now on because im tired of being a martyr for people but yet when i need help hardly no one is there to help.

I found this very interesting. I just got my chart done about a month ago, & ever since, I've been passionately learning everything I can about astrology. It is incredibly FASCINATING to me. So far, my chart has been extremely accurate. (Part of why this is all so fascinating to me.) However this MC/IC in Cancer/Capricorn is not resonating at all, which is giving me a lot to ponder. In addition to this video, I've read a few other articles, which, of course, have stated basically the same thing. I grew up as an only child in a single parent household. It was just me & my mom. Two females against the world. Lol. My mom was extremely lenient, & gave me plenty of love. The only thing she expected of me was to be me. There were no strict rules, or rigid expectations. If anyone has any insights into why this could be so completely off, when the rest of my chart is so right on, please feel free to comment. I would LOVE help in figuring this out. Much Love!
@@divagenius so funny, this was 4 years ago, and since I wrote this comment, I've gone through two courses in Hellenistic astrology, and im working on being am Astrologer myself. I believe there is something to your response especially since my IC is at 0° of Capricorn..... It just came out of Sag the moment of my birth. Also, Saturn, (the ruler of my 4th house) is the malefic of sect, and in the house of its Joy, conjunct an exalted Mercury. So this all explains alot about why I'm not experiencing the extremes of this placement. Also another response from a couple of years ago regarding the absent father reflects the placement. I just LOVE this stuff!!

Beautiful description, I have a Cap IC. From early childhood my dad always enforced that I would be a doctor. No discussion necessary. That i respond to all that, with good, emotional, human, common sense. That i understand how fragile we are. My childhood wasn't that childlike both parents worked 24/7 so me and my little sisters were stuck with babysitters who weren't that nice and my parents would always tell me that I was supposed to take care of them and watch out for them while at school I would get teased and had 0 friends up till I was 13. Then around 7th grade was when I started to feel so angry with them because I blamed them for leaving me alone and I developed anger issues and they didn't know how to deal with that so instead of helping me with therapy they thought that hitting me would discipline me and it did get me to behave but because I was scared of getting hit more. I cried myself to sleep for years thinking of the times I was hit and I would have nightmares sometimes now they act like they did the right thing but they don't know how badly they fucked me up.
Can you do more on the negative side of this I definitely feel I am the week clean and would really like to understand more of what’s going on with me and maybe how to help myself or different perspectives on what has happened then caused me to be where I amAnd feel the way I feel

My parents were fd up. They WERE NOT bad people. However, they had nooo parenting skills. They were pluto in cancer generation. I grew up in Detroit and that was crappy enough! My father was a Pisces. As a Leo with pluto, Uranus and Venus conjunct in my my12th house Virgo, I couldn't STAND him in early life. He was overly strict for no reason, But I was REBELLIOUS!

Well yeah, my long term goals were "given" to me because there was absolutely no consistent discipline in my crazy home so i had to learn how to manage myself. Now i manage others homes through my residential cleaning business. I am successful and i enjoy it for the most part💛. Thanks. I have this placement and have been very present with it during this 2017 Sun Cancer transit et all. I'm intrigued by it even, as it takes me to emotional depths I consciously forgot about. The world is my family, my home. Home & family is my world. I struggled with this opposition, literally. I am now experiencing it differently as I begin to accept the responsibilities I have to bringing the Mother essence to the world. Seeing and loving human kind as my children. I'd like to add a little something to think about; I usually avoid sharing theories like this if I don't know the person isn't serious about there understanding of these energies. Your perspective may become less of an idea of struggle if you consider Capricorn/Saturn as "the mother" as well. I consider Saturn a feminine energy (a "female" as well). I don't see Cancer and Capricorn as Mother and Father; I see the mother who nurtures through emotional nurturing, and the mother who nurtures through emotional fortification. One aims to raise you as kind and able to flow through change, and one aims to raise you as sturdy and able to conquer change. The divine feminine at her two extremes. CancVirgo Astrology Thanks Seth. Yes, indeed I am well aware of the Mother essence of Saturn and the Father essence of the Moon. My biological Mother & Father showed me those qualities well. In my experience..... Saturn & the Moon have a mission together. He circles in 29 years and she does her thing in 29 days. When you plan according to them, you can rarely go wrong. Time is their essence as they are both keepers of time. Together they help us be in our EMOTIONAL BODY CYCLES (water) & EARTHLY RHYTHM (earth)! Since we are libra rising's at birth we have to dig deep to get thru the opposite house's but we do progressed to Scorpio rising so that should help

Yeah my family had very high expectation of me from a young age ,i was very successful . Always on honor roll ,high grades ,top peformer in my class . But i started to go down hill in late middle school and high school . I stopped getting that recognition . It's like i only got praised for my achievements so my mom can brag about it . I dropped out of high school because i gave up ,my mother expectations were to high and nothing was never enough so i purposely dropped out .🤷🏿♀️it was to much for my well being

I struggled my entire life of being a mother-type for four siblings, an alcoholic grandfather, a needy grandmother and a hard working single mother. Whew. I never had a childhood. I am dealing with trying to find what I want to do now in my late 30's. I've always wanted to be an artist and trained for it in undergrad but tried and hated jobs that my family and spouse wanted me to do for 20 years of my life and moved away from my artistic soul. I constantly heard 'Being an artist is ridiculous' and always got the side eye when I had a gallery show. But I am now developing the confidence to become an illustrator/artist and develop community arts programmes where I live (the public persona). This is sooo spot on.

My parents were “free range” before that was even a term... I was running around town without supervision from 1st grade onward. Didn’t do well with authority figures who tried to be domineering. Now that I’m older, I still need that freedom but I also crave stability. I do have extremely high expectations in work and relationships... People usually perform at a lower level than my level of performance at work. I do think it stems from my own insecurities and needing to be “perfect.”

If you truly believe you high performance stems from insecurity, I would suggest doing some deep diving concerning your motivations and "end goals."
If you can reach high performance using negative influences, you can do the same using positive influences. You don't want to change your character and expression - too much - but you do want to change what fuels that character and expression ... if, as of now, that fuel is insecurity.

I was raised by my grandparents and they didn't care what i did. They just pretty much said do what you want. Very cold, unloving, unaffectionate childhood. Lots of chaos and instability. I had to leave home inorder to create that peaceful stable environment ive always wanted. As I've gotten older I've tried being loving and friendly to people but i see that they just take you for granted and dont really care about you at the end of the day. Im just focusing on myself from now on because im tired of being a martyr for people but yet when i need help hardly no one is there to help.
This was the most accurate interpretation! Thank God I had a great strong mom who allowed me to be me, albeit she was strict! I owe it all to her; I’m the best that I can be at this point in my life. I found this very interesting. I just got my chart done about a month ago, & ever since, I've been passionately learning everything I can about astrology. It is incredibly FASCINATING to me. So far, my chart has been extremely accurate. (Part of why this is all so fascinating to me.) However this MC/IC in Cancer/Capricorn is not resonating at all, which is giving me a lot to ponder. In addition to this video, I've read a few other articles, which, of course, have stated basically the same thing.
I grew up as an only child in a single parent household. It was just me & my mom. Two females against the world. Lol. My mom was extremely lenient, & gave me plenty of love. The only thing she expected of me was to be me. There were no strict rules, or rigid expectations. It just came out of Sag the moment of my birth. Also, Saturn, (the ruler of my 4th house) is the malefic of sect, and in the house of its Joy, conjunct an exalted Mercury. So this all explains alot about why I'm not experiencing the extremes of this placement. Also another response from a couple of years ago regarding the absent father reflects the placement.

For example, I'm an aquarius ascendant in western astrology. In vedic astrology I'd be a Capricorn Ascendant. So thats why I recommended looking into Sag IC. The sign previous to Capricorn IC.

Beautiful description, I have a Cap IC. From early childhood my dad always enforced that I would be a doctor. No discussion necessary. The pressure involved in always having to succeed to get approval from your family is deeply ingrained in my psyche. Even after success, I never received the recognition or approval from my dad. So, what the world really want's to see from me. Is. That a am taking good care of myself. As a human being. That i have gone through my Capricorn work. Have a good gasp on the though parts of reality. Life. The struggles. The sweat. The sacrifices. The hardwire. Of how to be a human family.
That i respond to all that, with good, emotional, human, common sense. That i understand how fragile we are. My childhood wasn't that childlike both parents worked 24/7 so me and my little sisters were stuck with babysitters who weren't that nice and my parents would always tell me that I was supposed to take care of them and watch out for them while at school I would get teased and had 0 friends up till I was 13. Then around 7th grade was when I started to feel so angry with them because I blamed them for leaving me alone and I developed anger issues and they didn't know how to deal with that so instead of helping me with therapy they thought that hitting me would discipline me and it did get me to behave but because I was scared of getting hit more. I cried myself to sleep for years thinking of the times I was hit and I would have nightmares sometimes now they act like they did the right thing but they don't know how badly they fucked me up.
Can you do more on the negative side of this I definitely feel I am the week clean and would really like to understand more of what’s going on with me and maybe how to help myself or different perspectives on what has happened then caused me to be where I amAnd feel the way I feel

My parents were fd up. They WERE NOT bad people. However, they had nooo parenting skills. They were pluto in cancer generation. I grew up in Detroit and that was crappy enough! My father was a Pisces. As a Leo with pluto, Uranus and Venus conjunct in my my12th house Virgo, I couldn't STAND him in early life. He was overly strict for no reason, But I was REBELLIOUS!

Well yeah, my long term goals were "given" to me because there was absolutely no consistent discipline in my crazy home so i had to learn how to manage myself. Now i manage others homes through my residential cleaning business. I am successful and i enjoy it for the most part💛. Thanks. I have this placement and have been very present with it during this 2017 Sun Cancer transit et all. I'm intrigued by it even, as it takes me to emotional depths I consciously forgot about. The world is my family, my home. Home & family is my world. I struggled with this opposition, literally. I am now experiencing it differently as I begin to accept the responsibilities I have to bringing the Mother essence to the world. Seeing and loving human kind as my children. Cause I know that intense contraction from rejecting and feeling hopelessness towards humans because they are just not there, nor want to listen. I'd like to add a little something to think about; I usually avoid sharing theories like this if I don't know the person isn't serious about there understanding of these energies.
Your perspective may become less of an idea of struggle if you consider Capricorn/Saturn as "the mother" as well. I consider Saturn a feminine energy (a "female" as well). I don't see Cancer and Capricorn as Mother and Father; I see the mother who nurtures through emotional nurturing, and the mother who nurtures through emotional fortification. One aims to raise you as kind and able to flow through change, and one aims to raise you as sturdy and able to conquer change. The divine feminine at her two extremes.

In my experience.....
Saturn & the Moon have a mission together. He circles in 29 years and she does her thing in 29 days. When you plan according to them, you can rarely go wrong. Time is their essence as they are both keepers of time. Together they help us be in our EMOTIONAL BODY CYCLES (water) & EARTHLY RHYTHM (earth)!

In my personal experience, as a 4th house Capricorn Sun and Cancer Midheaven, I embody this overlooked partnership.
