    This is so pretty!!! I wanted to do this in the Bernat baby blanket yarn that is more chunky. Is that possible, and if so, would I be chaining less when I start? I have no idea how that all works, so any help would be greatly appreciated. 😊

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Yes, you can use whichever yarn you'd like. If using a chunkier yarn, you will chain less and if using a thinner yarn, you will chain more. As long as you chain in the multiples I mention at the beginning of the pattern, you can make this blanket as big or as small as you'd like :)

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're having trouble finding the last stitch of the row, you can always put a stitch marker in the last stitch. I've also seen people work into the space between the last stitch and the turning chain as well. Whatever is easier for you!

    I'm making one with 126 chains, and In my humble beginner's opinion, it's wayyy to wide for a newborn. The result is, it's taking forever, I ran out of yarn, going to the store to buy more tomorrow, and I feel the blanket will be too heavy for a baby. I feel that 100 chains + 2, would be plenty wide. The pattern is beautiful, though. Thanks again Amanda!

      I'm so glad you're enjoying this pattern! I'm sure it's coming out beautifully! For the border color, you can choose to use one of the brown colors, maybe the darkest color for the border. Or if you want a pop of color, you can use white for the border.

    If I want to make a queen size what would the foundation chain be?

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would try 272 chains and see if that’s long enough. Otherwise you need to make a chain in a multiple of 4 and add 2 chains to the very end.

    I JUST LOVE THIS!!! Question, I have some really pretty DK weight yarn...would that work for this and how would I increase the starting chains? THANK YOU in advance!! 💐

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Yes you can change up the yarn and use what you like. For the starting chain you’ll multiply any number by 4 for the width. Once satisfied, you will add 2 more chains at the end to keep things in balance. Happy crocheting 🧶

    Working on this pattern and I also purchased the pattern.
    In the written pattern off of etsy you stop at row 6.
    So rows 7-70 you alternate rows 2 & 3? Please clarify! Thank you

    Is the white 4 rows and the other colors 2 rows?

  • @Hapuna24
    @Hapuna24 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I can’t seem to end the first row with 2 chains left after a shell. I end up with 3 chains.
    My base is 4 x 50 + 2 = 202. And I’ve gone slowly to be sure I didn’t miss a step, but end up with 3 chains.
    So I’ve used the very end part of the chain to end with a single crochet.
    Maybe I did miss a step, or I miscounted with the base.
    I’m going to see how round 2 goes. And maybe I’ll have to start over if something goes a miss.

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m sorry it’s not working out for you. You could always take out the one chain if that helps. I hope working the second row works out a little easier for you. The first row can be a little difficult. Good luck!

      @@AmandaCrochets thanks for the reply. No worries, it’s all good and it seems to be working out.
      I’m using a burgundy color, Heartland’s “badlands”, so the pattern doesn’t really standout but I’m going to change to pink and maybe it will show better.
      No worries about the pattern, I still love your projects and tutorials. So easy to follow. I bought the patterns as well and those are easy to follow as well. Ill find a way to show you my projects when they are progressing and finished.

    Before I buy yarn I would like to double check the quality. You said 2 of each colour but you have twice as many rows of white than the blue and grey.

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can always buy 3 skeins of the white if you’re unsure. This is what worked for me.
