Someone pressed the emergency phone on an elevator in Chincoteague Island VA

- (8-10-2011) This is from the first Chincoteague trip. I DON'T USE KEYS ANYMORE this is an old video and the only reason I posted was cause of the phone incident. I was filming the elevator and somebody pressed the phone on accident.

You have activated a fan.
This is why in European elevators you have to press the phone button for 5 seconds at least. Prevents accidental pressing and kids playing wih buttons.
Kone = for 3, 5 or 20 seconds
Otis = for 5 seconds
Schindler = for 3 seconds
Thyssen/Thyssenkrupp = for 5 seconds

Bro is so cool he just carrys around the keys to all the elevators and casualy just turns on the fan without assistance. Love your stuff!
In some ways, however He doesn’t use Elevator Keys anymore because it’s also actually illegal to do so + considering breaking an entering if I remember correctly. (Without asking permission to use them on an Elevator. This video was recorded/filmed 13 years ago.)
@@ElevatorsInternationalThe only time you would be breaking and entering is if you used your keys to access a restricted floor or elevator without permission. In comparison, turning off lights/fans without permission is considered tampering.

Guess the people that answer the emergency phones get tired of people hitting the buttons. They just hung up and never said a word. Not even a OK.

I don't like the fan for the most part, but the startup of it is pretty neat though!
I love this kind of elevator. I have road in many kinds like this. You might think this is weird. But I love the sound of that fan. I rode in one. But has the same fan and chimes.

Nice key demo. Key usage is very fun if you have permission. The principal at my school would let me use my UTA key to take our elevator on independent service joyrides.
you have a pretty rad principle. you couldn't get on the elevator at my school without a hall monitor yelling at you to get off. I'm special though so I get to ride it :)
Obviously the elevator @ your school’s an Otis, since the UTA key’s 1 of the keys made by Otis/United Technologies.
+EvMast Productions that's correct! However, the keys are actually sold by Unitec... The company that makes buttons for Otis. If a third part company uses Unitec as well, the may also use the UTA-H

They really should have a delay on the button for the phone because the phone fails will become worse. It probably already is.
They probably tried to close the door and accidentally hit the emergency phone

That was great that guy was able to apologize to the operator in the elevator when those other people when they were stating to walk out of the elevator those people accidentally pushed the emergency phone button and that guy was lucky he came in the elevator just as those people who pushed the emergency phone bottom in the elevator so those other people didn't have to apologize to the operator. yes I the elevator operator was rude also because she didn't say of that's OK
