No I own Rolex and Tudor , I bought it because I love the watch , people with their head up their arse call it a poor man’s Rolex

The element of the community that only care about brand names and have some sort of complex, are very snobby and very loud in their offensive uneducated and inaccurate comments. Luckily although they are loud, they are in a minority and genuine watch collectors in the community are generally a very nice bunch that just want to talk about watches and watch timepiece content 🙂 I did pick the watch up a couple of days ago, went blue 41mm and love it

I’m an old Rolex guy. Imo, Tudor is where Rolex was in 1960. They try things Rolex won’t. The Tudor P01 and Pelagos are good examples of this. In addition, Tudor works with militaries, to get them what they need, like the Pelagos FXD. There is a price differential, but Tudor does stuff Rolex won’t do.

Anyone who has £2,000 or more on a watch can not be classed as a poor man. Anyway the Tudor Royal is a stunning watch and the Rolex line up doesn't have anything that looks similar, unless you buy a used Rolex Oysterquartz and then the same guy would trash you for not having an automatic movement. Some people just hate because they're unhappy with their own lives.

I buy a variety of brands and would never say that. The muppet that said that is one of two things: Jealous and does not have any premium Swiss watch. Or somebody who has bought one Rolex and has no AP and just off on one like a certain type of Rolex buyer does. This watch is lovely and looking to add one myself. Thank you for the videos 🙂👍

I bought my P01 because i fell in love as soon as i saw it, it has an in-house movement, and it comes with a 5 year warranty.
I bought my other 2 tudors because i loved the first one 😂
Here's how Tudor is NOT a poor man's Rolex
1) they make watches in gold, silver, bronze And stainless steel.
2) their in house movement has a higher power reserve than Rolex AND is cosc certified
3) they marketing divisions are seperate and their ceo is different.
4) they also have Metas certification with their watches. Ie more accurate.
5) they have NATO leather and stainless Steele straps.
6) they have an alarm. Watch ie the heritage alarm.
7) most importantly you can actually find Tudors at the AD!

I completely agree with you. Years ago I bought an awesome looking pair of TAG glasses. I was making under 40K a year at the time. Some of my coworkers raved on how much they loved the glasses and how they looked on me. I have a large heard. lol I am 6'6" tall. So I need a wider frame glasses. They asked me how much I paid for them. I told them about $700 just for the frames. They called me an idiot and said I would break the glasses. It is nearly fifteen years later and they are in nearly perfect shape (the rubber on the nose guard needs to be replaced, but TAG discontinued the glasses). They also said I just bought the most expensive pair to show off. I laughed at them, because they had pairs for over $5K in the shop. I bought the damn glasses because I had the money, they fit me super well and I take care of my things. I could buy a cheaper Rolex right now (I make a lot more now), but I REALLY am thinking of getting the Tudor 1926 or Royal 41mm. Why? Because despite some opinions it is an established and well made brand. Most importantly, it is because I LIKE THE DAMN WATCH! lol I also have a classic and rare Casio G-Shock too.

I recently purchased the 1926 in 41mm with white dial and gold hands. An absolute stunner! I think all the 1926 variants are beautiful. I wish Rolex made something like this one currently. Although my grail watch a no date Submariner, Tudor makes fantastic watches.

Best watch in the world is one you own man. Tudor are brilliant. I've been in Switzerland for more than 2 weeks...they drive Subaru WRXs not Lambos. Im getting Tudor. Its the brand I like the most. Good looking with value

Tudor is absolutely not a poor man’s Rolex. I own both brands (and others). I really love how Tudor does things differently than Rolex, tried things Rolex will NOT ever try. This is what makes them special. Have a look at that new Burgandy BB that came out this year! That thing is complete fire and looks better than almost any watch on the market IMHO. I cannot wait to buy that watch! The Tudor Royal line is way under rated with 52 dial and material variations. This is excellent stuff.
Some people as you mention are very pretentious and completely materialistic but those people usually don’t understand the history of a brand and just make assumptions! Don’t listen to those idiots.

That was an ignorant, uninformed comment you received. Poor people don't buy $4000 watches, they buy an $8 no name piece of garbage watch from Walmart. Tudor makes a superb luxury watch, and they take risks and use materials Rolex won't. My Tudor BB58 is just as well made and well finished as my Rolex Datejust 41.

I own Rolex omegas and a few other brands but lately I seem to be wearing my Black Bay 58 S&G more often than any others. I have the distressed leather strap version and it’s just a classy watch . And it has nothing to do with what price point it is .

I agree, I have been looking at the Royale.
I think tudor used to be the ”poor mans Rolex” several years ago when they mostly made the same models that Rolex, but cheaper. Today they do their own models and are more their own brand. I started with buying my two Rolex watches and then bought a Tudor Royal since It is something completely else.
Even if my friend buys the gaudiest Invicta, I’d still respect his decision. That’s because it’s his money and it is not in my position trash talk about what he loves or can afford.

Try to resell a Tudor watch over another guy selling an Omega watch. The guy selling the Omega watch will sell his fast and get more money for it than a Tudor!
That might be true but i never buy my watches with the thought of it being a good resale piece. I just buy what i truly love and enjoy wearing and don’t care much about that one day I might have to sell it

I can afford a Rolex, brought a Tudor. I wanted to wear it and not feel like I had to watch my wrist. The only people that say this are very insecure and don't know watches at all. A Rolex says so much about SOME of the people that wear them. Not all, but some. And it's ridiculous, they are rediculous. They are worried about what people think about them and feel the need to show off in every aspect of their life but most likely are living a lie. Please Rolex owners don't take this the wrong way, but you know that fake person who wears a Rolex who has to buy friends and make people think they are something they are not.
The person who made that comment about Tudor must be brain-dead because a year ago Rolex's were impossible to find at retail prices. Therefore what's the point of talking about Rolex and its relation with Tudor.
