I think there is some symbolism with both Cyrus and Lysandre having Honchkrow. Cyrus sought to unmake the world and create a new one. Lysandre wanted to nuke the existing world. Both essentially wanted to destroy the world, and both are accompanied by a crow Pokemon. A scavenger. An omen of death.
OK, I just have to say this: In this world, the events of X or Y happened, since Sina and Dexio reference the beginning of that game. Also, most of the people in the world are still alive. Meaning, that in the universe of USUM, Lysander was stopped and the ultimate weapon destroyed. So even if Lysandre could appear from an alternate universe, there would be no Ultimate Weapon for him to connect his two buttons to. Unless somehow it was transported with him. But he says it's underground. He's on Aether Paradise. Which is a manmade, floating island. There is no underground. Unless somehow in the short time he's been in this universe, he's replicated the Ultimate Weapon, buried in the ground underneath the water underneath Aether Paradise, powered it up with Xerneas and then connected the two buttons to it.
I love how they acknowledged the fact that Ghetsis is so different from the other leders that he would't just stick around in a random room like an underling and instead would be trying to run things his own way actively. Props to GF for that
Lysandre was always the most tragic villain to me (both game and anime) he wants for the world to be a better place, where everyone can live happily in peace. He doesn’t actually want to harm anyone, be it people or Pokémon. He started his company and became wealthy and then tried to use that wealth to help people but there were too many and too many evil people that he eventually just gave up. Him founding Team Flare is his last attempt at saving the world, by pressing the global reset button while allowing his select few (probably made up of those he believes to have pure hearts) to survive to then repopulate.
@@siru47 you stop team flare from taking over the Pokeball factory in Laverre City during the events of XY, that's why Lysandre has Master Balls (since the player doesn't exist in this Lysandre's universe)
QOTD: Ooh, that's tough. I love Xerneas' design and lore, but I prefer the differences in Y's storyline and I prefer using Yveltal in competitive because it's less predictable. And Zygarde's regular design is cool and its complete form is awesome. So I really can't choose.
I was surprised when I saw Lysandre over Ghetsis. But then I remembered that Ghetsis was such an evil person that he would be the #2 to Giovani. But progressing through the generations would have made sense too.

With Archie, I got the impression they kinda came too all stranded here and Giovanni gave them a room because why not? Did he dig it up? Since Dexio implied that the battle against Lysandre happened in this world already, so it's presumably a smoking crater still? Is he bluffing/testing us?
A couple seconds after 8:27 he said that he resist waterfall well he thought electric resisted water well electric is super effective against water but electric doesn't resist it. also it would say that the move is super effective before it tells you it crit
The only boss battle I had a hard time with was Giovanni, and that's only because my team had a huge weakness to ground, but even then it only took me like three tries.

after this series you should do another let's play of these games but as a randomizer nuzlocke race against jubilee to see who can beat the game first and this time have jubilee play ultra sun and you play ultra moon 😃
