These crocks do exist. When I bought my grandfathers homestead, we found a crock in the root cellar, among many more interesting vintage items. I really had no idea what it was used for, but it had to be used for some kind of food storage. It has no markings on it though. Would be nice if it would've had a lid or something. We are still finding things around the homestead. Every time we dig a hole somewhere we find a horse bit, or some equipment grandpa used for his tractor or farm implement Frustrating thing is trying to find out what some of these things were used for back then. I wish I could ask my grandpa about it...lol.
Love the English/French crocks, I am always searching for them in The Wild, but this idea is genius!

You can also use clear packing tape to hold the stamp on your project on a curve. The tape extends on either side of the back of the stamp and acts as adhesive handles. The stamp then sticks to the project while you press down on the stamp to transfer the ink.

I love gilding! There are so many colours in the gilding sheets. I have done some that look like oil spills in water. If you want all the little lines to disappear after you brush off the gild, take a soft piece of cloth and buff it all away!
Neat ideas. I just did over a glass vessel in the aged concrete look and I dusted it with cocoa. And who doesn’t like the smell of chocolate Thanks for the ideas.

Oh Sarah... I am so happy to see you use IOD products 😁 I was a stockist for quite a while, but decided to no longer have a vintage booth while going through treatment. Without my own Brick and Mortar or a vendor booth of some sorts (a physical location), I had to give up being a stockist, but I still use all of their products pretty much daily‼️ Once treatment is over, I plan to go back to carrying IOD. They are literally top notch products and give beautiful results 😍 It warms my heart to see you using the Crockery Stamp ❣️❤

As soon you showed the antique crocks at the beginning of the video I was hoping you had discovered the IOD stamps -- I am a huge IOD fan so much that your blouse/dress reminds me of one of my favorite transfers of theirs it's called Wander -- such beautiful florals like the ones on your top! I love this video! Such beautiful projects! I have an urn like the one you showed and I love that rusty look with cinnamon! I'm going to try it. I'm also a Fusion fan.

I love the antique crock ideas. The stamps are tricky so I'm still practicing before I use them on my projects. I just don't want them sliding and messing up.

Hi Sarah! I actually have some of these old crocks! Specifically the Dundee Marmalade! They are not actually white at all. They are more of a cream. Also I have seen several of the potted meat in all different brands and sizes in person and they are not a true white either. They are SO expensive for their size but so beautiful!

When stamping on a curved surface, Toni's tip is great. I take a small towel fold in half. Lay the item in the center and then roll the ends on either side toward the item. It should now be "cradled". Before inking the stamp, place a good length of painter's tape across the center of the stamp on the smooth side. Turn it over, ink it up. Use the tape like handles on each side to lower the stamp onto the surface. Your fingers should be holding the tape on each side pretty close to the stamp, for control. Once it;s down, hold down with one hand and press the stamp onto the surface. You can switch hands, one at a time, so that all of the inked surface of the stamp makes contact with the item.

Love all of your projects. My favorite probably is the aged urn. I just love the technic which is so simple and elegant. If I start this project I’d primer the all thing first and paint it then and aged it etc etc. And there is not any warranty for me to achieve the desired result. So I admired by the yours.
And maybe you’d be interested in one product from Amy Howard for zinc aging. Check it out, it works.

The crocks were my favorite. The stamps are hard to do on round surfaces. Good job.
It helps that they're flexible!!
Putting a piece of packing tape on the back of the stamp making sure the tape extends far enough out on either side of your stamp, then laying it down on your surface, really helps to hold your stamp in place on a rounded surface! And like Sarah said, it helps that they're flexible. I think it also helps that these are nice and small as well.😉
My favorite was the crocks. I want to get that set of IOD stamps.
I truly love all six projects but I'm most excited over the urn and how perfect it turned out using such a simple method. That's the look I've been wanting to achieve on a couple of my own urns for quite a while but wasn't quite sure how, and you really nailed it, so thank you! I love all of the projects, I wasn't as crazy about the watering can. I think was bc I live that galvanized look. In the right spot might like it. Still I enjoyed the transformation for them all.

I’ve had really good luck using the tissue off napkins. Peel them apart so you have one ply. Stamp your image on it and then decoupage onto your crock. The tissue “disappears”. That way, if the image isn’t perfect, just use another tissue!

How did you seal the containers after you put the stamping on them?
Enquiring minds want to know.
I'm not sure if Sarah sealed them afterwards, but I do know that the IOD ink is permanent once applied and dry!
Ginger Chick uses lots of IOD stamps but seems to do a layer before and after to protect the ink design.
