@@tacticalrabbit308 Primers are made by thier CCI division and they are all making them as fast as they can . Unfortunately the military contracts have all the 3 primer manufacturers snowed under with orders. We reloaders are always last after they load their factory ammo brands and the military contracts. I would bet its at least another year before we start to see any return to good availablity maybe 2. They also have said they aren't able to get their raw materials. very well, in their desired quantities, to make the primers, as their is Still a "Supply Chain" materials shipping issue that has plagued the USA for the last 2 years sadly. (We caught them stacking container ships off both coasts for months.) Then they moved them farther out at sea so who knows now. Some shipping issue!

      @trbig67 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@tacticalrabbit308 Yes, you can find primers now, but... I used to spend $13-$15 a thousand. Now they're @ $100. Much like Remingtons 22LR Golden Bullet. I've bought many thousands of rounds from Wally World for $8.88 for a box of 550. Last time I looked, they're $42 for the same box. So yes, you can get ammo and reloading supplies now if you're willing to pay through the nose.

As someone who both grew up with firearms and knows the Remington name, as well as someone who once lost a manufacturing job, thank you all very VERY much to everyone involved for bringing back Remington. I don't mean to be dramatic, but I really did tear up a bit seeing this. P.s. Just recently I opened a box of Remington 30-06 my late grandfather handed down, I believe from the late 70's to early 80's, as well as picked up a new box of Remington 22LR for my own boy to plink with. The quality is appropriate to price, caliber, grade, and use. The availability is vey good in my a.o. Each caliber of their products that I use, works well in my firearms. In my case I was only a few weeks away from turning age 58 when I would have been entitled to an unreduced pension. None of that mattered to the company's owners at the time. Maybe just maybe they start churning out their own damn calibers like 35 Remington..... Remington shut downing their hunting caliber production was like the start of WW2 when they quit making all the older ammunition, when WW2 ended, they didn't bring back any of the older ammunition. I aware there were very limited civilian sales due to wartime rationing and production being mobilized. I can't count all the rimfire calibers, that are firearms that have a box ammo more expensive the gun, where each shot fired is one robbed from every future generation to have that chance. Remington just abandoned their gun owners and people that bought into Remington calibers, back in the 1940's. Hopefully this restarting the plant will not be in the same fate for less popular guns and calibers that people use and have used for decades.

I'd love to see that but Canada is so far gone with gun rights it would take a majority of the nation to completely reverse their stance on guns. What do they even have left, didn't they recently ban all semi auto rifles and all handguns? They were even going after shotguns but looks like they backed off a tad on that.
I don't see anything but bolt actions and lever actions being legal in Canada within a decade.

After years of inability to find anything but cheap junk Aguila 22 rimfire (which isn’t loaded strong enough to cycle any of my semi-autos), I was thrilled when Remington 22 rimfire, my favorite brand, reappeared. I have bought 12 boxes of 525 rounds each so far, and am shooting it every single week. Not a single misfire so far, excellent accuracy, burns clean, and cycles the action perfectly. I am SO glad they are back.
    Now…what about primers!?

Remington Golden Bullets are my goto. America Needs Remington. I need Remington. My request in 10mm FMJ ball ammo for my 1911. The flat nose of TMJ does not cycle in a 1911 type gun. FYI the 1911 was designed around a ROUND bullet for reliable feeding. ALSO Everyone knows there are not enough primers being made. That machine should be running 24/7. Man it with Double Overtime workers if need be.

Core-Lokt in 30-06, 180 GR SP, is and always has been my only ammo I use for deer.
When it hits, so does the deer. It hits the ground and there is NO tracking.
I probably have enough on hand to last out my hunting life, but I will still get more.
Thanks for saving this amazing ammo.

I’ll be using some CL 150gr this year, last year I hit 2 does with Federal 165gr and while the track was easy they sure did go a long way (big big field) for being hit with a .30-06

I’ve tried multiple other brand ammo in my 700 30-06 and honestly Remington brand ammo has been the most consistent grouping and feeding that I’ve had. It’s a little tough to find the 165s but I snag every box I come across. Glad to see the company making a comeback. Keep up the good work ladies and gentlemen

Good to see Remington getting back in its feet.
I’ve had a bad experience with Remington Ammo recently and it’ll be a while before I have the trust to buy more. Having said that, being in Australia, I don’t know if my ammo was pre or post bankruptcy stock.
My issue was with 180gr 300 win mag ammo. I had cases split open at the neck in 11 out of the 20 rounds.

  • @graybeard7408

Remington rimfire ammo had gotten so bad before this that shooters would not buy it because it was so dirty that it would foul your gun.
Now that Vista Outdoor is making it along with CCI and Federal it can only get better.
    Thank you Vista Outdoor..
