Cheap Hatz Diesel 2G40 part 3: rebuild and start

I finally got the parts to put this engine back together, so now that it has both rod bearings it actually runs properly.

Nice rebuild. This is a newer series with the aluminum block, I believe. These are very expensive and they last a long time. I have a Hatz z790. The quality is very impressive. I think mine weighs about the same as a SBC, but the block is iron. These are excellent choices for a serious generator that needs to run a long time.

Melton Industries. They are a Hatz dealer. They have all parts and service information available. If you are able to find a parts manual, you can order all your parts online, but if not, just call them with the serial number.
