@@rencunin you dealing damage to melee or ranged champions will charge your red or blue form (red for melee blue for range). This however increases with time so you get more meter for form later in the game then early
This video was super fun to watch, as a kayn main, though I do have some tips/comments:
1. The runes. The first part of the runes are good, it's what you'd normally go with rhast. However I'd highly suggest instead of going the domination tree secondary, you go with inpiration secondary for Free boots + Futures Market (or Time Warp Tonic in some specific cases).
2. I highly suggest Eclipse over Prowlers Claw. Prowlers claw is good, especially into team comps where everyone is super squishy, but in this current meta it's typically better to go Eclipse because Eclipse grants you a better extended team fight power with it's shield, and it allows you to shred through people easier because of it's armor pen.
3. Don't build Muramana second item. Usually the item order goes Mythic -> Lethality Item (Ghostblade, Edge of Night, Serpent's Fang, etc...) and then you go Muramana third.
4. If you're new to kayn, and want to know the typical Prowlers Combo it's either:
W -> Prowlers -> AA -> Q -> R
or
Prowlers -> AA -> Q -> W -> (Optional Q) -> R.
5. 13:00 - 13:06 "I think it applies to both parts of your Q"
Yes it does! It applies to every part of every attack you do! It's also why Black cleaver is such a good item on Kayn because it applies the shred on both parts of your Q.
6. If you want a more normal Red kayn build, and not the assassin version these are better items than what he is currently going:
Eclipse as your mythic into either:
Black Cleaver, Death's Dance, or Maw of Malmortius
And then for your third item get Muramana, and then finally get any of these:
Frozen Heart, Guardian Angel, Thornmail, Randuin's Omen, Spirit Visage (Maw is usually just better, especially when paired with Death's Dance), Chempunk Chainsword, Silvermere Dawn, Ravenous Hydra (you usually don't go this one, but it can be fun!), or Serylda's Grudge.
7. If you want a really wacky fun build that I've been having a lot of success with you can try:
Black Cleaver first item -> Sunfire -> Muramana -> Death's Dance -> Maw.
This isn't a super heavily tested build, but it's been working really well for me so far.
8. For Red kayn specifically, I actually think ghost is better than flash. Red Kayns biggest problem is getting kited and sticking onto people. Ghost helps out a lot with that.
9. You can actually wait out Grievous wounds while in your R, so if you get Anti-healed, just wait it out in your R.
You can also die in your R to things like Ignite, or any type of continous burn damage, so becareful of that.
10. 17:10 "You can use ignite while inside of them!"
You can use any targeted summoner spell while inside of someone! Including smite if you are playing kayn in the JG.
11: 17:50 - 18:00 "Your passive heals you, that is different than your ultimate, your ultimate also heals you"
Yes! Fun fact, your passive and your ult healing actually stack, so you'll heal from both your ult and your passive off of the ult damage. Also note that you only get the healing if you're Red kayn though. Blue kayn doesn't get it.
12: 20:00 "if you want to learn a jungler, Kayn is one of the best."
Yes, and No. He's extremely strong, but because of his E his jungle pathing can be quite a bit different compared to other junglers, and his early game (aside from his level 1, because his level 1 is actually quite strong) isn't that good so if the enemy abuses that you have to know how to counter. Great in lower elo though where people don't know how to punish bad jungle pathing/deny you your form.
13: 20:15 "I think there are champions that can invade you and fight you on repeat" Yes there are! Some examples are:
Graves (your worst matchup probably), Kindred, Khazix (until you get form), and Rengar.
14: 25:19 "If you're not inside of a wall, your E will fizzle out"
Yep, it also fizzles out early if you're in combat, so be careful because it might kick you out of the wall into the enemy team mid fight.
Overall though, this was a super good video and was really fun to watch!

I been playing this version of kayn forever everyone always assumed its trolling but in 1v1s its so op .
Blue is probably better as a jungle, but Red is a strong mid build.
Goredrinker sucks so I go Prowlers Cleaver dd maw sterak/GA with tank boots. Kind of like reksai build.

@@Josh-99 red has been better in every role since durability patch. % max hp damage is just insane vs a fully tankier rift and the fact you can choose at will whether you need to be a beefy boi or a bursty boi that still heals for a billion is kinda dumb
Along with tank Diana, Red Kayn with damaging items (so Eclipse, Manamune > Grudge and then filler depending on game) is the most elo inflated character the past two patches. Same concept as Aatrox and Eclipse. You do more damage than you would with Goredrinker therefore you heal more overall but you have the added benefit of absolutely destroying squishies as well so you scale really well in to late game against tanks and squishies alike and no one in the game has a get out of jail free card as good as Kayn E besides maybe Fizz.
It was pretty funny hearing Pekin talk about how squishy he is and getting killed easily if he gets caught then him getting the drop on Sylas and winning a 1v2 right after.

Grudge is 30% pen at even 50 armor its 15 pen so its about as good as any lethality item even by level 9.

@@KairoCake thats because bruisers are the arguably best class in the game rn and they naturally counter him, if they didnt he’d be the best champ in the game. Yes kayn lacks the stats to go head to head with bruisers, much like yasuo (and to a lesser degree yone), but he has way too much mobility, survivability and damage for what he is. he is the only champ in the game that disregards walls and can thereby flank your backline way too easily, which he then 2-3 taps. if he gets caught he still has his ult, which is a death sentence for a squishy that simultaneously heals him from 0 to 50. Coupled with goredrinker, dd and other stupid bruiser items he is way too hard to kill due to his healing, durability and slipperiness, while steal being able to annihilate your backline due to his stupid dmg without building assasin items.
And to top it all off: antiheal sucks complete ass rn

Yeah true. I was in normals practising my Vladimir recently (I'm Silver 2, for the record) and I was matched against a Masters Pyke mid who was #300 on the server on Pyke, he just completely gapped me and solowon the game, but it's like yeah, I'm not that good at the game, I can't stop him from doing that. That was a sad game.

Didn't know Rhaast had that much max health damage. That's really, broken. Like he does this much damage and also heals any damage he takes. If the aim was for him to be antitank max health isn't the way to do it since, everybody has max health. Like maybe make it so if the first part of his q lands on a champ the next part will have some percent of armor pen. And just make his ult give himself percent armor pen on exit for a few seconds.
Only made me a little upset when you blast coned me away at 26:00 but that was a great game.

if i have 30 lethality and 50 percent armor pen and i fight someone with 100 armor, how much armor do i shred? is it 100 - 50% - 30 or 100 - 30 - 50%?
one way they'd only have 20 armor actually protecting them, the other way they'd have 35

its not to play norms on your main ACC, despite being challenger, usually they try to match u with higher tier opps (as a silver1, once had gm player on my team, enemy team thus had a masters)

I get why you took Prowlers, but Eclipse is MUCH stronger on Red Kayn, as it gives up to 20% Armor pen as a passive on EVERYONE
Plus it has omnivamp, a shield and a good 3 hit passive.

Pekin I hate to break it to you but after the durability update you can't do true damage until you're basically full build, assuming at least one of your items is %armor pen rather than lethality.
As an assassin main I'm extremely annoyed at adcs having 80 base armor post-25 minutes
