- Over the weekend, Harvard graduate Gabby Thomas emerged as a favorite in the 200-meter race in the upcoming Olympic Games, punching her ticket to Tokyo with one of the event’s best times ever. Joining TODAY live, Thomas says, “I’m still processing it … I’m still in disbelief.” She also talks about her health scare when a tumor was found in her liver.

A few dozen that graduated from the most prestigious college in the world, has the fastest time in an event of any person alive and is now studying epidemiology while training and looks like that? Show me that woman, she must go to Yale, MIT or Oxford. I didn't say just looks. There is not one athlete period that is super elite that meets that criteria, she's a 1 of 1, and I coach youth track we have had 6 Olympians from our program and my daughter has a full ride to college on a track scholarship.

I saw her for the first time at the Olympic live telecast and boy she is simply gorgeous. Phew! Smitten by her beauty and talent.
This neurobiology Harvard grad in a Master's program in Texas needs to get more recognition. Everyone keeps talking about Richardson but Thomas had a benign tumor. Thomas literally got a PB each round and has a great chance of winning the Olympic gold.

They keep making appear as though Gabby and Felix will be competing against eachother in the Olympics; they are not. Felix made the team in the 400m and 4x400m relay and Gabby made it in the 200m and the 4x100m relay.

@@trackgrad08 .....Being a former Olympic and World Champion in the 200, I can see why they mentioned Felix. Even though Felix made the team in the 400m, she said she really wanted to go back to 200m; and would have run that in the Olympics instead of the 400m had she made the team.

@@chrisestey7277 I say that cause there maybe some equally smart, pretty, and fit women out there in the world that have chosen not to display their fitness on a competitive level or can't because of life circumstance. There may be a number of women in Africa that can match her on all three criteria if they had access to a gym. Top 50 quality women in the world is a good assessment.
