I think the reason why they're making this Harley Quinn a inmate instead of a psychiatrist, is because they were probably going back and forth in the writer's room, trying to come up with a way to make Arthur seem charming enough to turn a psychiatrist, but they couldn't figure out a way that made sense in their heads. So they just said let's just make her an inmate too. Personal thought.
Nah, they managed to make it make sense for the actual joker who is hundreds of times worse than arthur is so far. So that doesnt make much sense. Most likely they just didnt want the therapist scenes because it would take up much of the movie with him slowly turning her. It would be the first hour of the movie basically. I think thats the real reason. It atleast makes way more sense, As they would have to commit ALOT of time to turn her slowly instead of her just joining his world when they meet (since she already was interested in him beforehand)

I don't believe that they got Brendan Gleeson to play a random guard. He will surely be a known character from the Batman franchise. Maybe a deep cut like Aaron Cash or Quinzy Sharp, or maybe a more known character, like Hugo Strange or Solomon Grundy

I don’t have much expectations for Deadpool because of marvels overhyping mediocre movies but what I do know is Todd Phillips has cooked an amazing televised life experience with actual real life problems on low budget

Third movie will only "work" if they let it "open" to tie up with other DC movie(s). This sequel can also end with "open ending". If they just end, we will not get any satisfaction or "pay-off" from this sequel. Because it is well established that Joker-Batman is like 2 sides of some coin. So if they do not go anywhere with this movie, its best to just end it here, and stop with this.
You missed a good opportunity to mention how Christian Bale got down to 120lbs for The Machinist. Might've came out before you were born. Directly after that he bulked up to 185lbs to play Batman.
The Machinist was 2004 - Charlie's been doing breakdowns for 11-12 years and I highly doubt he was 8 years old when he began, funny to think about though
Think about Joaquin pheonix's version of the joker and Heath ledgers version of the joker .......that's one hell of a character arch .for a character to go from one extreme to the other is a story Im interested to see....... I hope they do it justice.

I think we'll see her treating him and genuinely scared when he's dancing with her during the Arkham riot. That look back at her when she tells him to sing looks like the start of it all.
In The Dark Knight Returns, the Joker makes his escape from the nut house by getting a talk show appearance (The David Endocrine Show) and gasses the entire studio audience to get away. I can't remember the name of that weird guy who built the bombs for Joker but it seems like Gleeson in this trailer has that general vibe of that dude. Maybe he will turn out to be an accomplice of Joker who helps him escape.

But the Joker never gives an accurate story of how he got his mental disorder. His laugh at the end of the movie was at us, the audience, for getting caught up in a deliberately false story that he was telling the doctor. Was there really a laughing disorder that he recounted on the bus or was that part of the lie? There were only 2 or 3 verifiable things that he said during the entire movie. 1. 3 men were killed on a train. (maybe by Fleck) 2. He killed a talk show host on live TV. 3. He likely killed the 1 of 2 men that visited him before the show. Besides that, nothing recounted in the movie by him is reliable. Bruce Wayne's age is one of the obvious lies.
I deeply need this movie to include, 'I Don't Care' by Fall Out Boy on its' soundtrack. There are a few other tracks from the same album that could work but it's a missed opportunity to not put a song from Folie à Deux on the soundtrack for Joker: Folie à Deux.

I don't want things to connect anymore, sequels are fine, but if I have to watch a movie I don't want to see to understand a movie I do want to see...well I'll just stay home! I used to love the MCU but at a certain point before the final 2 Thanos films I gave up. I used to buy blurays and I was just done. I liked Capt and Carter so I watched anything with those characters. Like the modern Universal Monster films figured out after a huge Mummy flop, just make a great movie based on an established character but make it your own and connections aren't important. I like these separate joker and batman films. And I love Harleys solo-ish film. But I am feeling the comic movie burnout!

The trailer looks great. I’m definitely going to see the Joker 2 but a part of me believes that they release this trailer because Deadpool and wolverine is super popular It’s on heavy rotation when it comes to advertisements so DC had Pull an ace out of its sleeve to compete with Marvel

This is the kind of movies they should have been making with the DCEU. Now all I want is the joker/Harley cross over with Pattinson's batman and all those characters, it would be absolutely amazing.
I'm normally not a huge fan of musicals & huge random musical moments in movies, but if these two don't really ~sing~ a song together in the movie I'm gonna be big mad.

The fact that there is another "DC Universe" where this and that Batman movie exists outside of James Gunn's DC Universe shows that Warner Bros still doesn't get it and hasn't yet learned and shows that Gunn is just a powerless puppet who cannot even shut this movie down or integrate this into his DC Universe! I guess the DC Disaster continues

@@SeasideDetective2 it’s a 2024/2025 film when Space Jam 2 came out a few years ago and people canceled Pepe cuz of who he is. So technically he can’t show up in any other work either. This movie basically says with that statement that the cancel culture is a joke and who better to laugh at that then the Joker
@@tyx8898 Obviously he CAN show up, because Warner Brothers is including him in a film set in 1983 but produced and released in the 2020s.
I don't want things to connect anymore, sequels are fine, but if I have to watch a movie I don't want to see to understand a movie I do want to see...well I'll just stay home! I used to love the MCU but at a certain point before the final 2 Thanos films I gave up. I used to buy blurays and I was just done. I liked Capt and Carter so I watched anything with those characters. Like the modern Universal Monster films figured out after a huge Mummy flop, just make a great movie based on an established character but make it your own and connections aren't important. I like these separate joker and batman films. And I love Harleys solo-ish film. But I am feeling the comic movie burnout!
