    I love your choices of music on your videos. I am a retired professional oboist and now I’m pursuing quilting in my later life career. So, I love the music while watching you work. It’s very aesthetically pleasing

    You say you’re not great at free motion quilting but I’d love to be as “not great!” Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing!

    I am just learning and getting comfortable with free motion quilting and after watching your fantastic video I am anxious to try it out on an actual collage. Thanks for your time and wonderful lesson.

    Thanks for the great tips! I’m a longarmer and I’ve had to quilt a couple of collage quilts. Breaking thread was very frustrating. Your project is beautiful!

    This video was SO HELPFUL. I loved the background music while you stitched but also would have loved to know your thoughts as you were stitching…gotta get the edges, try to mimic veining in a leaf, not too much on this flower, start up the center of the leaf. It was so wonderful! Thank you!

    Lovely panel! I'm wondering what you use for batting (if you use batting) and backing. Thanks!

      Thank you! Yes, I create a traditional "quilt sandwich" with the finished collaged top, batting (80/20 low loft batting), and a backing fabric.

    Gorgeous work. For some reason I find the fabric panel to be much more approachable. I could stare at your collages all day. Maybe it’s time to take the risk and get one so I can have one of my very own.

    Hi Emily, I purchased this panel recently and would like to know…how much time did you spend on quilting this panel?
    I'm going on a private retreat with friends and this will be my project for the week in January 2025. I can hardly wait to start it. I love all your patterns.

      Thank you! I hope that you enjoy making this project! The quilting part took me about 6-7 hours total? The quilting goes much faster than the collage part ;)

    What iron do you trust? Most start shooting out rust-ruining the quilt

    • @CollageQuilter
      @CollageQuilter  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I've had that problem with just about every iron I use. Unfortunately, I haven't found the perfect iron. However, I have found that when they start spitting, it's best to replace it. I will let you know when I discover an iron that works like we want it to and doesn't break the bank.

    What is the quilting free motion foot that you use??

    • @CollageQuilter
      @CollageQuilter  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This project was quilted on my BERNINA Q16, which is a sit-down long arm machine (I LOVE this machine). I used the default foot which comes with the machine. If you have a domestic BERNINA and want to free-motion quilt, you will need the BSR attachment (BERNINA Stitch Regulator).

      Perhaps you meant, exceptional panel? I find the cost to be very reasonable. But, everyone has their own budget that they must adhere to. Best wishes.
