Ive never played Tekken but ive played Soul Caliber from the start and with that i have a SMALL relative understanding of how to execute in Tekken

Whoa. I'm a Fujin rank. And I honestly think you two at the end there were playing at an intermediate or advanced level player.
Just a bit of refinement with movement, punishment, and spacial awareness you'll reach the Red ranks pretty darn easily at least, blue ranks (Fujin and above) at most.
I hope you continue your Tekken journey. I would suggest you watching content creators like PhiDx? I think he's an extremely strong Victor main that you can learn from.

@@AbsoLucian Sweet! Claudio is a great pick as well! Your approach of learning a character is super great.
Once you learn your mix-ups with Claudio and learn how to set those up, you're good. 👍
I'm gonna give you a small tip. You might wanna spam his While Running 2, and mix it up with While Running 4 👍
Here's sum Tekken 8 advice
Practice side stepping more from left and right and you should mix up your opponent sum times u start low than go high and vise versa on attacks and grabbing helps to confuse your opponents
My last tips learning defense always remember if u guarding high your legs is open when u guard low your open on the top and ducking can help to on defense if u know your opponents gonna jab and use the heat system to do more combos and damage when necessary with these tips you should improve and learning spaces should help you on both offence and defence there's a move that can track side steps you'll see it it will glow green when you use it

Hwong (idgaf how you actually spell his name) is probably one of the easiest characters to slay noobs with, you did really good for only having 7 days in tekken.

Eddy coach should focus on fun first. It’s cool giving all the technical stuff, but if you keep it fun, the other stuff will follow.
I only included certain parts of it, the full coaching call was like an hour. Plus I find all the technical stuff to be fun
