There are other hair color brands (especially here in the U.S.) that are safer, but I absolutely love the gray. It is elegant and fashionable. It suits you far better than the dyed black. Your age may be a sensitive area for you but there are some people I love who never made it to that age. You have lived long enough to have glowing health, look amazing and find a beautiful woman who loves you and adores you and can't keep her eyes off you. The years have been kind to you and I wish you so very many more of them. Be proud of every year you have lived, look at the joy they have brought you. My current husband is 9 years older than me. When we first met,12 years ago, I had lost my first husband at the age of 48 to Multiple Sclerosis and he had lost his wife to Breast Cancer. As soon as I met him, there was just something about him, that made all of my fears for the future dissipate. As a younger me, I never would have dated, much less married, a man 9 years older than me but here we are at 61 and 70 still going strong.

People always asked my parents what their secret is as their love & affection didn’t fizzle out. Lol I was born when dad turned 50 (the ooops baby but the baby girl they didn’t have) you’d think my parents were orthodox but, they were totally opposite & very present in our lives & their grandchildren I was also born in 89, been married for soon 15 years, our son is 15yrs & our daughter is 13yrs. One of my grandparents were 16 years apart and the other set were 13 years apart. They all had ageless love! The men had lived and were established enough that they could take care of the woman properly and also at that age where they know exactly what they wanted and were ready to settle! I think those age gaps matter most when it's someone mature dating someone early 20s or late teens. Need some life experience first. My gaps have been 1 yr younger to 5 years older.

Lucy is 34 years old turning 35 years old this month and Ben is 49 years old. Age difference of 14/15 years. No problem to me at all. I dated a guy 17 years older than me, in that situation it did not work out because he treated me like a child and not like an equal. Many outsiders were against it and he could not handle their opinions. He broke it of after two months. Because of this experience, I never wanted to give an older man a chance again.

I'm from Germany, late 30s and my boyfriend (from Japan) is 14 years younger, so same gap 🙂. We don't have to explain ourselves a lot though, cause I seem to look and act younger than my age and his character is more mature than his age, so we are kind of meeting in the middle 😆. In dating before, I have been quite flexible about the age of partner, dated same, older, and younger aged guys before. But in the end, I realized what matters most is that character, values and life goals, energy level and maybe some hobbys/interests are compatible. And, most importantly, that you have a good communication and similar emotional needs in a relationship (for example similar needs for distance and closeness in a relationship). What I see more as a challenge with age gaps is different timeframe expectations as to when one or both partners want to have children (if they want them. If not, less complicated😊). While the older partner might have less time for it biologically, the younger might still want to focus more on their career or enjoying travel, freedom etc. (not all people, but as a tendency for certain age phases). I feel it's important to discuss such topics about life goals/phases at an early stage of the relationship, to see if both are on the same page, or if not completely, flexible enough to find a good compromise. But in a healthy relationship with good communication it should be possible to talk openly about such topics, which is more related to the emotional maturity of each partner than the actual age they have on paper.

I have always refused to dye my hair because I was afraid of the chemicals. I love my grey and natural hair (CROWN!). In the US I believe more women are embracing their grey hair.

I'm in a relationship with my partner who is much older than I am and I love our relationship! I had the same thoughts as Lucy did when I first began my relationship with my partner. Absolutely central to my belief system is that YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH A SOUL--not an age, not a gender, nor because of someone's social ranking, wealth, religion, or politics, etc.. Yes, all of those go into making that person who they are. But it's the INDIVIDUAL SOUL OF THAT ONE SPECIAL UNIQUE PERSON whom you love so deeply. Otherwise we'd be loving literally billions of people at any one moment.✨✨✨
I, also, sooo agree with the view of why we are drawn to--or repelled from--another. It would make complete sense to be attracted to someone who has shared your same values for the last tens, hundreds, and thousands of lifetimes. If you have rigid parameters that you refuse to budge from around what you want in a partner to share your life with, then by excluding people from your future because of (as I stated before), their age or gender, social ranking, wealth, religion, or politics, etc., then in the old adage, you are "cutting your nose off to spite your face." My current husband is 9 years older than me. When we first met,12 years ago, I had lost my first husband at the age of 48 to Multiple Sclerosis and he had lost his wife to Breast Cancer.
As soon as I met him, there was just something about him, that made all of my fears for the future dissipate.
As a younger me, I never would have dated, much less married, a man 9 years older than me but here we are at 61 and 70 still going strong.

Aww beautiful couple, made me tear up as my late dad (he passed away when he was in his 80’s) met mum in his 40’s nearly 20yrs. People always asked my parents what their secret is as their love & affection didn’t fizzle out. Lol I was born when dad turned 50 (the ooops baby but the baby girl they didn’t have) you’d think my parents were orthodox but, they were totally opposite & very present in our lives & their grandchildren I was also born in 89, been married for soon 15 years, our son is 15yrs & our daughter is 13yrs. One of my grandparents were 16 years apart and the other set were 13 years apart. They all had ageless love! The men had lived and were established enough that they could take care of the woman properly and also at that age where they know exactly what they wanted and were ready to settle! I think those age gaps matter most when it's someone mature dating someone early 20s or late teens. Need some life experience first. My gaps have been 1 yr younger to 5 years older.

If you love the person then age should no play a role in how you respond to each other. Be real with each other and if you can't be real then don't be together. Ben you are not old you are 49 years old and a part of you that you can't change. Embrace your age and live your best life. Ben I think you are over thinking this and it shows in the video that you are not confident about your age. Question, can you reverse your age, no so stop sweating the small stuff and love hard, express your self with confidence and full of sexapeel. Infact, Ben I think you have a very distinguished look about, a magazine look the type on man one see in men's magazine. Don't diminish your sexapeel but letting age become a barrier to your love expression. Hold hands in the street, kiss in the street, show your affection and confidence that you are proud of your beautiful lady. Lucy is 34 years old turning 35 years old this month and Ben is 49 years old. Age difference of 14/15 years. No problem to me at all. I dated a guy 17 years older than me, in that situation it did not work out because he treated me like a child and not like an equal. Many outsiders were against it and he could not handle their opinions. He broke it of after two months. Because of this experience, I never wanted to give an older man a chance again.

I'm from Germany, late 30s and my boyfriend (from Japan) is 14 years younger, so same gap 🙂. We don't have to explain ourselves a lot though, cause I seem to look and act younger than my age and his character is more mature than his age, so we are kind of meeting in the middle 😆.
In dating before, I have been quite flexible about the age of partner, dated same, older, and younger aged guys before.
But in the end, I realized what matters most is that character, values and life goals, energy level and maybe some hobbys/interests are compatible. And, most importantly, that you have a good communication and similar emotional needs in a relationship (for example similar needs for distance and closeness in a relationship).
What I see more as a challenge with age gaps is different timeframe expectations as to when one or both partners want to have children (if they want them. If not, less complicated😊). While the older partner might have less time for it biologically, the younger might still want to focus more on their career or enjoying travel, freedom etc. (not all people, but as a tendency for certain age phases).
I feel it's important to discuss such topics about life goals/phases at an early stage of the relationship, to see if both are on the same page, or if not completely, flexible enough to find a good compromise.
But in a healthy relationship with good communication it should be possible to talk openly about such topics, which is more related to the emotional maturity of each partner than the actual age they have on paper.
