As a former traffic signal technician I can relate to this. Mice can play havoc with our equipment also.

Here I am begging and scraping to save for a bike and this guy had a beauty just sitting in a shed where mice could feast on it. Rob, I can't wait to see the finished product, I know it'll be a work of art.

Thats why i always store my bike with seat off for winter.
This always scares me everytime I store my bike for the winter.
Can you show how to fix steering after a crash.
If your steering is messed up after a crash, your forks and triple tree are probably toast and need to be replaced.

This one will be a labor for the love of bikes. That’s gross thing those mice did, man. But it’s what mice do.
Looks like there’s a LOT of cleaning ahead. Probably more cleaning than work, because the bike doesn't look that bad. Good luck!
Same thing happed to my CBR. The previous owner let it sit in his garage for too long and it was infested with mice. Had to replace the entire wiring harness and other misc parts. Runs like a champ now.

Thank you for restoring one of the best years of the now DISCONTINUED R6. Glad I have an 07 R6. I probably won’t ever get rid of it just because the R6 is such a staple in superbike racing.
I'm sad that they discontinued it, but at the same time i'm so happy they kept this same body style all the way from 08-16. One of the best looking body styles on a bike in my opinion

I used a mix of dawn dish soap, bleach and water as a cleaning solution for my rat ridden zx6r.
How people can be so lazy... Poor bike! If I were you I would wear a face mask and disinfect all parts!

DAMN THATS NASTY!!!! Props to you for having the guts to repair that r6. I am not an expert, but i recommend u drop the engine if it is easy so u can clean it eazier and better!! Much love from greece
Make sure you clean everything thoroughly. And when you finish cleaning go clean it again... It's pretty hard to get ride of that smell, it seems to come back when the weather changes... It might be a good idea to take the engine out and clean/ inspect everything off, the little bastards can get in the tightest spaces

Now I have a new bike fear. I keep my MT-07 usually in shed. I am new rider. Now winter is coming and I drive when I can as long weather holds. But now I will think whole winter if mice wont destroy it lol
Someone said dropping some peppermint oil around where you keep your bike will keep the mice away

Maybe it's better to keep the motorcycle outside , in the cold, with a cover. I'm really worried about my motorcycle 🏍️ , now. I keep it under a cover and run it every 2 week or so for a few minutes. Garage would be better, I thought. Now I think the other way,😂
