Damn, that Discovery arc is exactly how I'd imagine them to treat CN characters.
Abusing them to work, and then punishing them in gruesome ways if they're not working.
Since it's not stated how they're punished, I bet Discovery punishes CN toons by chaining them up in dungeon cells, and not giving them anything but a small stale piece of bread and muddy water for nourishment.
