I have the same thoughts. Only 7.4K subs, and quite possibly the best restoration work to be seen anywhere on TH-cam. When you consider this is just one young man with tools that he has made himself, it's just unbelievable the skill level and quality of finished product.
It's all boring and primitive POV filmed videos, people want to see action, multiple angles, a crew in the shop with banter, not just one guy wandering around his shed rambling haha, the views/subs will never increase doing this kind of work and videos it's extremely boring to most people, you need to do quick/easy fixes or 3 years of build in 10 minutes to reach the attention span of the average viewer.
Very far from the best but thanks for the kind words, filming things as one person is probably the hardest part unless you want to spend half your day setting up a tripod, I like to just rip in and is why I miss a lot of "during the work" shots because I'm just too "in the zone" to stop and set up the camera haha.
@@notevn I really appreciate the format and style you film and edit in, it's always informative and interesting, I actually am engaged the throughout whole video unlike other people who I'll put on in the background, don't be discouraged, your work is incredible and I'll always love seeing a new video from you pop up man
Thanks for sharing this build with us, it has been pretty impressive watching you shape and restore the bodywork on the cosmo sports. You have to be pleased that you have given this car a chance to survive and drive again and with your focus on overcoming poor factory drainage should see the bodywork last quite sometime. 😊😊😊
I'm keen to see this car painted ,fully assembled and driving on the roads! The other two will be a much longer journey as they are not complete cars and will need to be pieced together slowly as parts pop up.
Thanks mate, suprisingly probably cheaper than buying one considering they don't ever pop up for sale being so little of them made, so for around 2 days work i think it turned out okay.
Thanks for watching, it does take a bit of time even though the videos are primitive, but it's worth it to properly document it and give the owner the best understanding of what's been done.
Although I had always been curious on making a bumper I honestly didn't think I'd be self learning how to make one that week when I got the phone call to say the bumper isn't chromeable haha.
Just found your channel from Yorkshire Car Restoration doing a Cosmo. Got bugger all done today as I caught up on all your work. Love what you’ve done, bloody brilliant mate!
Its amazing to see all that you do. I've been following you on instagram for many many years and always been a big fan of your cars and intricate metal work. Been meaning to watch your youtube for a while now and finally started this week. spent the whole week watching every episode and I truly appreciate all of the detail you show in your videos, your thought process and how educational these videos are. Your videos are getting me motivated to do the rust repair on my Soarer I've been avoiding for the last couple years. Can't wait for the next video man 🍻cheers P.S. I think some NOTEVEN "Happy Days" merch would be rad haha.
Personal projects /working for free always takes the longest, I've had personal cars off the road for years and years. Rushing only creates problems for future you.
working for free is always a hard pill, HA HA. Absolutely Killa works as always, you be the Cosmo guy by the time you get yours and the other messed up one done. I need to pick your brain at some time on how you dropped the MX5 base down, my Porsche is way too high even with the BC"s set as low as than can go.
It's always enjoyable to watch your videos. Your metal fabrication is quite high. I don't think you know how good you really are. Thanks for taking the time posting.
Glad you enjoy watching. I am slowly getting better each week but still very far from where I want to be, a few more years of work and I might be happy with the results I produce.
Haha I wish, the steering rack is infront of the engine so that's as far forwards as the engine will go and it's super far back, adding another rotor would put the shifter extremely far backwards.
Excellent work on that bar mate. Do you have an idea what the chroming will cost? (and where you get it done, I think you are local to me and I need some chrome work done).
Thanks man, it came up decent. I think nowdays it's close to 1000 a bar... last time I got bars done it was around 350 a bar back in 2014 😅. Pacific Plating is doing all the chromework and polishing.
Bro would you sell me that little datson truck? Not now maybe in a year or 2 ? I need something like that here in japan bro. Rather that then the supra/ can share the supra as a deal for that datson pp na truck. 🤷♂️ lets talk maybe
The 80’s supra is my family’s car. Its mint. Just the motor sucks. Runs etc i was thinking a rotory in the supra. But the ute my be more versatile for my daily use. Highways
I just need one that is roadworthy for japan. With a brap. Pp race engine. 5 speed for the highway. No turbo. Hate that shitz. Good suspension/ solid diff, race stabilisers, low, no paint ok. No rust. Build me a basic rough okay. But has to handle like a new car, most important. I mean stability arms sus bushings etc. Need oil cooler and larger radiator. Custom muffler/ with valve/ street mode and race mode 😱😝👍
Hello, your explanation of cars is really professional. I wonder if you are willing to cooperate with us to make a video about car audio? We are willing to give you products for free.
Please don’t stop uploading your work! This is great stuff
Lovely stuff, always great to watch the method and overcoming singular issues.👍👍
Thanks man
You are the champion! LOVE your work!
Thanks for watching man
This is the best car resto channel on TH-cam... The craftsmanship and attention to detail is mind blowing!
Keep up the great work mate!
Thanks but Very far from the best mate , a little care goes a long way when doing repairs.
Well done maestro , always a pleasure to see the technical videos
Great to see a master at work
One down...two to go 😅
Amazing work again nice to see that the Cosmo is one step closer to being finished.
Luv the pacing on your videos, keeps one interested the entire time without getting bored. Killer work!
Thanks mate I try to make them not too boring and repetitive.
Amazing work man, you're making it look easier with every video.
Thanks man, slowly improving each week I hope.
Awesome, good to see it all together and ready for paint prep. Keen to see your Cosmo come together and the next coupe iteration.
Legendary work mate. loving the journey!
Thanks for watching man, will update more as it progresses though the paint stage.
Why is nobody commenting? This guy is very interesting. Keep up the killer sheet-metal work

He's literally building the ultimate OG rota. The stance is insane. And on top of that he can fabricate anything. Humble off the charts.

You're a magician!
Thanks mate
Fabulous work. That's one expensive rear bar. Impressive how you worked that 1.6 material. Love your videos. Thanks!
Thanks mate, suprisingly probably cheaper than buying one considering they don't ever pop up for sale being so little of them made, so for around 2 days work i think it turned out okay.
This cosmo restoration has been super interesting, thanks for posting! Must've taken a lot of time to film&edit this series.
Thanks for watching, it does take a bit of time even though the videos are primitive, but it's worth it to properly document it and give the owner the best understanding of what's been done.
Amazing. I've watched a lot of car resto/fab videos and I don't think I've ever seen someone build a stock bumper from scratch!
Although I had always been curious on making a bumper I honestly didn't think I'd be self learning how to make one that week when I got the phone call to say the bumper isn't chromeable haha.
Impressive work 👏
Thanks mate.
I really like your tenacity not to be beaten
You can't give up
Holy moly that's impressive, bloody complex shape and thick metal...great job
Thanks mate it was more forgiving to work with as it required twice the force to move around.
Incredible work. You made that bumper look easy! Your work on this car has been inspirational.
Thanks for watching mate the bumper was easier than I expected it to be.
Just found your channel from Yorkshire Car Restoration doing a Cosmo. Got bugger all done today as I caught up on all your work. Love what you’ve done, bloody brilliant mate!
Giving up is not an option! I admire your drive and workmanship. Mind over matter. Keep up your great work.Greetings from Louisiana.😎
Cant let the car beat you, as much as it makes you want to pull your hair out 🤣
@@notevn agreed sir !
Top notch Mate!
Cheers mate
killing it as always man!
Cheers man, less time watching videos and more time working on that ute haha
@@notevn I’ll keep the nav lip set aside for you to put on your ute 🤢
Been a while since I tuned in mate. Amazing stuff that you’re doing. Still can’t believe that there were only 343 of these built.
Sensational as always
Really liked how you made the bumper 👍
Thanks mate it came up decent I think
Nice work, dude!👍
Thanks mate
Love your videos! Great talent and interesting projects!
Awesome work ( emphasis added ) .
Thanks mate.
Amazing work and attention to detail.
Can't wait to see the next transformation
Thanks mate, hopefully no more cosmos come through the door and I can finish the remaining ones 😅
Fkn excellent work.
Thanks mate
You are definitely talented making that bumper impressed me.
It impressed me also that it just worked out haha
Incredible work on that rear bumper!
Thanks mate it came up surprisingly good
Thanks for sharing! Great work as usual. I’m looking forward to seeing more on the Coupe.
Thanks for watching, I am most excited about receiving that car back in my hands to finish it
Complements with the excellent work!
Thanks mate
Brilliant mate!
Simply stunning work mate. Very well done.
Thanks for watching mate
amazing work again!
Really nice work with a great attention to detail. It will be great to see the finished product. Keep up the good work.
Thanks mate, im also looking forward to seeing it transform into a painted and assembled car, will keep the updates coming.
Nice work there, top level restoration. Very watchable, looking forward to the next episode whatever the content may be.
Thanks mate, the videos would be less primitive if they are my own stuff as I'd have time to set up the camera better etc.
You are goood ! Keep the videos coming ! Thanks
Thanks mate will post in a few weeks
Amazing work. I would be interested in the 1000 ute. I love those things.
Its amazing to see all that you do. I've been following you on instagram for many many years and always been a big fan of your cars and intricate metal work. Awesome work 👍
Your Cosmo needs a short crank 3 rotor PP 😁👍
Haha all my cars need a short 20bpp, unfortunately my wallet says even one car is not possible 🤣
Beautiful work mate cant wait to see yours running
Thanks mate that's going to be a long time away at this rate
Outstanding effort as per usual mate!
Thanks
Great work mate. Super impressive.
Thanks mate
I still reckon that you'll finish all three before YCR finish one 😅😅😅 top work as usual
Personal projects /working for free always takes the longest, I've had personal cars off the road for years and years. Rushing only creates problems for future you.
I hope one day I can become as skilled as you 😂
I'm about 10% of where I'd like to be in terms of skill set, there is room to improve each day with everything
Star sharks ❤
Timeless wheel but I feel just don't suit the cosmo as much as other cars
I’ve got some for my Rx3 favourite wheel
super

Has to be done though, have to own your mistakes and hope you don't make them again in the future😅. Yeah man just pm on ig, pretty easy process.
Wow, that was really impressive. I'd reckon there are only a handful, if that, of TH-cam restorers and fabricators who could have pulled that off.
Thanks mate it was deff a long haul and not a 5 minute crafts spec repair usually seen on here.
It's always enjoyable to watch your videos.
Your metal fabrication is quite high.

Seems like a 20B will fit in easily....😊

@@notevn ah damnit!! Wouldve been cool as!! I know you aint chasing world firsts, but that wouldve been a real cool world 1st
That is such impressive workmanship mate, is there anything you can't do?
Cant seem to finish my own cars, stay on the most priority task , a lot actually 🤣
Excellent work on that bar mate. Do you have an idea what the chroming will cost? (and where you get it done, I think you are local to me and I need some chrome work done).

awesome work man, the amount of time and fab on this car is nutz. Just curious if you don't mind me asking. Aprox what would you charge your customer
unreal
Can you run the dented bumper through the die might be able to save it
The chrome finish would need to be removed first to get an accurate look at the metal underneath, easier to just remake it. 2 days of work
How many ours it took
About 440 total
Hey mate, where you based?
Bro would you sell me that little datson truck? Not now maybe in a year or 2 ? I need something like that here in japan bro. Rather that then the supra/ can share the supra as a deal for that datson pp na truck. 🤷♂️ lets talk maybe

Pls let me know cheers, i just want something fun to drive - currently driving a 4wd prado
Unfortunately I won't sell any personal cars or builds, I'd never find another one , the 1000 are much rarer than the 1200s.
@@notevn build me one ? When im ready i send you a truck, you do the rest, be kind on the price haha 😛

Fk me bro, thats a looooot of work for justa bumper. Is it worth it?
It was pnly 2 days work to recreate it , don't really have much choice when they don't exist to purchase.
