  • After the Apostle Paul, who wrote about half of the books in the New Testament, who wrote the most? This man, one of Jesus' twelve disciples and very likely the youngest of them, wrote not only three epistles but also one of the Gospels and the lone apocalyptic work in the New Testament. He was likely the longest-living disciple and his life was the turning point between the Apostolic Age of the first C\century and the dawn of the Patristic Era in the second century and beyond in church history. He was the disciple whom Jesus loved, John the Apostle.
