  • If you need to bleed your break lines, it’s because one of two reasons. One, you got air into the system when flushing the brake fluid, or you’ve dismantled the system to clean your calipers or replace a line. In either case, bleeding your brake lines is for the purpose of removing air pockets out of the system.
In this video, we’ll show you how to bleed your brake lines using a hand vacuum pump.

My Dad's tip was to smear a little grease around the base of the bleed nipple to prevent air getting in when you open it.

God damn it took like ten 10 minute videos to find a video that gets to the point and makes sense. Thank you.

Love how you mentioned to check for consistent pressure before you start. A failure by most people.

Great video. For the guy that doesn't have a mighty vac. I've been flushing dirt bike and street brakes 50 years with just a clear hose with a loop in it to see the bubbles. Connect it crack the bleeder. just keep the master cylinder full and pump slow. You don't even have to close the bleeder. 8mm wrench and a foot of hose

Reverse bleeding with a 50 ml syringe. Simple and works like a charm!

This looks much better than what I experience with my (so-called) "one way" valve.

While pumping the brake fluid, isn't it necessary to hold the brake pedal down to allow the fluid to flow through?

Bought the same device did what he said and honestly save your money all you need is a plastic bottle wrench and a tube also it still didn’t fix my clogged caliper

Just to be clear... The brake master does not need to be pumped right? The fluid will seep through the plunger in the brake master without any pumping?

Will this work on a completley dry stystem? Will the vacuum suck all the air before the fluid?

Hello! Can one use instead a small 12v vacuum pump typically used for oil changing?

when I did this for my front brakes I got constant air bubbles. full tube of them. bled out entire reservoir 3 times and bubbles the entire time. probably a hole somewhere in the line right?

Jer Alan you might just get air from the connection between the hose and nipple. Tried securing it with something?

Why would you open the bleed valve before putting the hose on and get brake fluid everywhere? Ah cause you got a stupid adapter, I see.

  • @poopertrooperz

this is an excellent video but i thought you're meant to bleed it bone dry so you don't mix new and old fluid?
