      tk king it’s TMJ. It can be caused by braces, or a traumatic injury. Most times it can’t be treated, although if it is a bad issue there are surgery options available. (Jaw surgery is very painful) when your jaw locks, try moving it side to side to get it unlocked. That’s how I helped mine, and it rarely ever does it now. Sometimes it is self healing.

    I had a bad case where my entire ear felt like someone was stabbing it with a pencil and it was chronic for a month, it was the worse part of my life. I couldn't sleep and it almost drove me to suicide to escape the pain.

      Damn, I don't even have pain, jut a click and pop and I was considering suicide last night, I commend you 🙏 a 30 minute Andrew Taye motivational video helped me get over being sad about it. I just hate that it sounds like someone has their finger digging in my ear when I chew and the loud pop I hear when I open my jaw all the way makes me so fucming mad and regretful I didn't destroy shit instead of trying to release my anger by biting on a pillow extremely hard and pulling downwards on it.

    My jaw seems to have slipped out of place and I can't open my mouth more than an inch. Due to this issue eating has become rather difficult. Not to mention the fact that the region where my jaw starts just below my ear hurts when I eat very solid foods (on the right side). However, I do believe the pain is due to the pressure when crunching down. I really want to solve this problem. I am a little worried that I have waited too long to try to figure what went wrong. This issue first occurred about three weeks ago. At first my jaw kept shifting and I couldn't open my mouth wide but after awhile it would go back into place. At this point I don't know what can be done. What can I do? I need help Doctors, please!

    My jaw used to click and I never noticed until my dentist told me about it and warned me that it could become serious in the future (I was 16 at the time) and said that it must be from chewing gum (which I used to be obsessed with everyone knew me to always have gum in my purse) and I got scared and stopped chewing gum as much that I rarely ever do now, the clicking stopped now but I do get some pain sometimes and it's always a worry. I don't know if I should get it checked still because nobody really take it seriously and neither did I until I saw this video.

      Jessica Styles sounds like TMJ. Braces can cause it, so I wouldn’t worry too much. If it ever locks up I recommend trying to move ur jaw from left to right, and that usually helped me. Mine went away on its own, although it did take a few years. Best of luck!

    • @dakotahf
      @dakotahf 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This happens to me.... it is from braces.... just relax and massage with your hands the top part of your jaw and it goes away.... it’s just from the rubber bands changing the position of your jaw

    • @angelhanooda
      @angelhanooda 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Emily Shirk thank you for the advice although I have never got braces, I went on different appointments (about four times) to get them and each time they'd tell me that my teeth don't need braces and the last time, they'd told me that I had an issue with my jaw and not my teeth so braces wouldn't help me (I still don't understand that logic cause I've read in some cases braces help fix your jaw as well) the pain still hits me sometimes but I've never got it checked since

But recently it's been putting pressure in my ear ever sense I got my wisdom teeth in and cause crowding in the back upper and lower. But it doing hurt at all, I just thought it was the faces mask causing the pressure because that's when I noticed it. We will see at my next appointment when I get x rays.
