Working in a psychiatric clinic we have our fair share of patients that have transitoned and I would say almost all of them see no improvment or even have declining mental health after HRT and surgery. The issue does not get fixed with wigs, hormones and surgery. We treat patients for years after with patients still not being happy with themselves. 🤷🏼♀️ We need to look at other options to help, not just assuming transitioning is the one stop fix all.

Working in a psychiatric clinic we have our fair share of patients that have transitoned and I would say almost all of them see no improvment or even have declining mental health after HRT and surgery. The issue does not get fixed with wigs, hormones and surgery. We treat patients for years after with patients still not being happy with themselves. 🤷🏼♀️ We need to look at other options to help, not just assuming transitioning is the one stop fix all.
