1 CUP POWDERED LAUNDRY DETERGENT

I was just recently telling my husband we need to replace a few pillows. I can’t wait to give this a try! I wish I still had an old school top load washer, though. These new fancy shmancy front load HE washers just don’t seem to wash as well, in my opinion.
I remember telling a friend of mine years ago that I washed my pillows and she looked at me like I was crazy. Great "recipe" for removing stains. I never considered adding detergent to a pot of boiling water but that is how they used to wash clothes. Thanks for sharing.

I just bought two new pillows (before I watched your video). I buy the Serta pillows in the future. Lesson learned: quality over quantity applies here along with washing instead of repurchasing Thanks Tan!!!!

Wow! Those pillows went from looking like, well like mine tbh, to literally oversaturating the white in your camera! I've never incorporated my stovetop into the washing process before, but I can't wait to try it. Now, where is my box sporting goods, I need me some tennis balls. :D
This is great I do have a question. I have a front loader so the soaking method won’t work like a top loader however can the soaking process be done in the tub and have the same effect?

Great video. I buy zippered pillow protectors for the pillows and I wash them about once a week. They really help in keeping the pillows clean. However, I can understand the need to wash your favorites.

Those stains are black girl magic, aka hair products residue lol. Mine never look that fluffy out of the dryer. So yeah, I'm a touch jealous right now😁

I have a ton of items that need to get whitened but I’m in an apartment and don’t have my own machines. Maybe I can soak them in the tub till I’m ready to wash.

i still have a old ass top loader but it’s the only way to soak stuff properly as you should so convenience over model for me 🤷🏽♀️
The pillows won't be too heavy for the wash cycle when it's done soaking? And why do my pillows look so lumpy after I wash and dry them. One side is a big o lump than the other. Thanks for sharing going to definately try this.
Mine make extra noise in the spin cycle. I have the same issue with the lumpiness.

Great video. I was like why you cut off Eric...I wanted to hear the reasoning for having the “traditional” top loaders. Lol
They said in another video that he doesn't like all the touch screen options and excess options on other machines. The top loaders are just basic machines to get the same job done (clean clothes).
Sone front loaders can grow mold also on the rubber seal. I have had problems with mine. Major design flaw...I miss my top loader.

mhhhh. when you show the result the picture is completely overexposed, can't even see the pattern anymore... i'm not saying it doesn't work but that's not showing much...
Before you all follow this, make sure you check if this recipe is safe for your pillow contents. If you have down (feathers) pillows, do not do this.

My machine has soak cycle I am afraid to add extra water because the machine adds it's own water. I afraid it might overflow or break.
Most washers have a sensor to where it won’t add extra water that causes it overflow hun.
Old top laundry machines are so much better quality than these new ones IN MY OPINION. So please do not write back nasty comments. Lol
The less computer the washing machine is the better. The machine will last so much longer.
Lab-made, scented detergents are toxic sadly. All of those toxins come out of your dryer vents and pollute the very air that we all share and breath😢 Please care about yourself, your neighbors, your pets, your neighbor's pets, wildlife, our shared waterways🌍🙏💗 Please consider using unscented or "Free and clear" laundry detergents.🙏 🌍🕊️
Too dangerous for me to lift that boiling hot water with chemicals in it. I’d rather just get new pillows, but if you can do it all power to you.
