"He makes a lot of things." That... Is an understatement. In fact, the main draw of MOTHER in Japan is that it was made by Itoi. Itoi's a bit of a celebrity, more or less. I DO think it's safe to say that Itoi has a special place in his heart for the MOTHER series though.

I am so with you, Dan. Vacations are great but very exploratory vacations in new places are EXHAUSTING. I have to take a relaxing day for every few of business, even on vacation.
Fingers crossed that I’m going to Japan in Sakura Season 2021 and these videos keep getting me more and more pumped for my own trip. Also super glad to see the vlog in my sub box again :)
Mal and I are twinsies when it comes to planners! After watching the first Techo video from, god, I think the apartment days, I was always curious about it! I ordered mine from Itoi's website as a Christmas gift to myself...I'm not using it as much as I did back in January but it's still an amazing planner...

Stephen, have you considered getting a pack designed for longer walks for your next vacation? not necessarily a full on hiking pack. but it's amazing how much lighter things feel even just with a waist strap or something.
I don't know why your so surprised that Itoi sells a lot of random strange items because this is the creator of Earthbound (Mother) which is a very interesting, random game in itself. Of course he would be a bit random, lol. But we love him for it.

They were in Nara, which is famous for it's semi-domesticated deer. You can buy special biscuit/cracker things and feed them.

Japan is my dream vacation. Can’t really afford it or go right now, but these vlogs help hold me over.
