These mortis troops are as frightening as a zero flying into a battleship with a single torpedo affixed. Perhaps, more so. I am glad to be older and far from the front.
I still gotta go through ALL your videos with this music, cause some of these video just hit different. Like an alien trying to tax humans, until they meet the IRS. Even among ones with this music there are some that feel like I’m riding my bike…INSIDE the school halls.
"They are our Mortis, our valiant dead, kept by drugs and other means, with a single order: murder, Kill, SLAUGHTER!, until that dark void finaly claims you."
the way they are described, they sound a lot like the Death Korps of Krieg plucked from the 40k universe. In 40k, there was a question of loyalty on their home planet...so they nuked the whole planet, and continued to live there. fondness for long trenchcoats, gas masks and entrenching tools.
Wrong army. The Mortis are from the Death Korps of Krieg from Warhammer 40k. They are a type of unit in that army and this is exactly how they fight, and how they look. Complete with using an entrenching tool as a favorite melee weapon. They are VERY well known for arming grenades and jumping on enemies. They are very quiet, tending to not talk at all if they can help it. I know what you mean with C&C...but these guys make the C&C ones look like pathetic children. The C&C unit talks too much to ever be these guys.
They are a reference to The Death Corps of Kreig, from Warhammer 40k. A unit of fanatical loyal soldiers that fight with no fear and inhuman will, look like SS officers with gas masks. Renowned for fighting until their body literally can't function and their most common hand to hand weapon is an entrenching tool (small shovel with additional functions built in)
hmm there have been a few stories of the human drakun alliance done by nn and agro. And before anybody asks . No i cannot remember the story names at this point in time.

Take Doom Guy , blend it with some Kriegsman ad little John Wick . Then cook it for about 2 seconds and there You have it ! :)
You forgot to add a little WW1 Osowiec Fortress flashbacks

took 25 mins... but i was waiting for that entrenching tool to show itself from the moment they mentioned dark cloak and mask.

Also, this is a retelling of the battle of Osowiec lol or at least it’s seems inspired from it lol
I'd say inspired by Osowiec but with the roles revesed.
At Osoviec it was the attackers that used gas and the defenders that rose again

The Fantasy of war vs the REALITY of war.
AND THATS WHEN THE DEAD MEN ARE RISING AGAIN!
Glory to the first man to die! For the Emperor!

Only in death does duty end.
In this case, apparently not.
Thank you for the reading
Ouch. This one hurt like the one about the human who tried to keep his crewmate alive with his own bodyheat.
Glory to the emperor
Anybody else hear Sabaton playing lightly in the background while they heard this? Just me?
A certain song about a certain WW1 battle and some Russians, perhaps?
WITNESS MEEEEEEE!!! 🙌🏾
I summon the Red Eyes black Dragon!
So, the "warrior" wasn't really ready for the realities of total war....
Somebody was listening to Sabaton while they were writing! I love it
I'll assume the Mortis are some "stimulant enhaced" troops

They're expies of the Death Korps of Kreig.
Given the C&C homage, I think we know what we're dealing with...

Thank you, neither do I. Seemed like much ado about nothing.
