Last week, I tested my JBL Charge (1st Gen)again my Amazon Basics bluetooth speaker. And while I think the Amazon has cleaner vocals, the JBL won on bass...and I am a Bass Head!! Incomes the OontZ...LET'S GO!!!

@r laze if I'm not mistaken, the Oontz can only be paired with one additional Oontz, but this version is definitely waterproof. I love it.

Thanks! Informative and entertaining. I purchased both and am trying to decide which to keep. I'll be doing my own sound test later and will check back in with my results but considering the price and your review I expect I'll be going with Oontz.
I actually like both, but the Oontz edged the JBL out just a bit for my listening preferences... and the Oontz is waterproof! 🤙🏿

Thank you! I haven't heard or tried a lot of portable speakers, but it's better than my small JBL and almost as good as my friends huge JBL speaker which is twice as large, which says a lot for this Oontz. I say get it 😉
4/6/22 I got the smaller one the other day. The Angle 3 shower one. Paired it with Alexa and the new echo dot. It sounded amazing and better than the dot to be honest but kept dropping in and out and lagged. No clue, I tried everything but messed with it for too long...sent it back and was happy to find they have a special deal where you get 2 of the one you got for like $10+ off! Aaaaand you can pair them as left and right speaker which the set up with Echo would not do. Thanks for vid bro :)

I never tried pairing mine with Alexa...I honestly only thought it would pair with itself, as you discovered.

I know this is an old video but thank you. I have the JBL. And the thing will not hold a charge for more than two songs I even downloaded the JBL app to fix it and nothing they sold a bunch of them with bad batteries. For $89. I'm getting my Ultra today and I can't wait ,video was quite enjoyable and I appreciate your time

Dude. I had an oontz joint original. Kicked well for 6 yrs. Stopped charging so I got the new 3 ultra. Really top notch for price. Goes to show not all speakers with great marketing are the best. This is truly a great speaker and can't beat the price. I will holler back in 6 years after countless hours of a construction site dust, falls and all sorts of other things. Good buy for real

Correction, The bluetooth button answers and hangs up calls, not the play button.
i got the 4th gen ultra. hard to dislike it. works perfect. i think $40 is all the more it should be. $25 would be a sweet deal. much higher volume than that sylvania sp-262 i had. good full range sound even if not exactly a bass blaster. i can see why ppl say to use an EQ. some songs can use some tweaking to get the best sound. fills a room like a larger stereo so i can see it being excellent outdoors. i think two of these would be ideal or maybe one of their biggest speakers if its equal to two of these ultras. i think ill keep it for now and possibly buy a second later. ultimately for a bluetooth speaker id like something twice the volume and bass output for sure even if its physically 2 or 3 times bigger. it does have the usb C port. not sure about battery life but i can plug it in if need be. ill see how i like it as time goes on.
I have zero complaints about mine... and for me, anything larger, or even 2 would be overkill, but it is definitely an amazing speaker. And I get great battery life out of mine.
I don't use it for more than an hour at a time.... usually while showering, but at that rate, I can go over a month before a charge is needed.

I have a 5 year old Bluetooth speaker from altec Lansing it has to small speakers inside at 2.5 watts each for total power of 5 watts. Battery not holding up and not so clear at high Volume. Ordered a marshal emerberton which has total 20 watts. Might order a oontz 3 angle ultra later on. The marshal should be here in about a week. I live in the Philippines. My old 5 watt speaker sounder great UpTo a few months ago. Now I'm getting something 4 times the power. Excited to hear it once it arrives.
I have owned JBL in the past and the base is good but the clarity of voice is lacking. I no longer buy JBL for that reason.
You do need a second one they are great together and you can hook up 3 or more together

i have My for more than 3 years Now and still works as new i dropped and one of the speaker got seperated i just put it back with gorila glue and works perfect again

They have a oontz angle 3 at my dentist(I have braces) and after they take my braces off I get like a prize if I brushed good and stuff so I was debating if I should get this a a iPad to sell online for some money
If you want to sell and make money, definitely go with the IPad, but if you want good sound for your music or TH-cam videos, the Oontz might be the way to go.
The iPad is worth much more 👍🏾

Which one do you think is the best of the two in terms of base and strainer?
Not sure what strainer is, but the Oontz definitely had better bass. And they were pretty much equal in vocal clarity.

I didn't wanna risk a copyright block with vocals, and the pairing makes a subtle beep..... or boop sound 😉 But the vocals are great, as long as you don't play it full blast all the time... but even with the volume up, the sound is really great.
Can i pair this with another bluetooth speaker brands?
Not sure, but I don't think so. I'm not sure how you'd get the other bluetooth speaker to recognize this speaker as the output source as opposed to your phone.
I think it only pairs with its own brand because it has a built in daisy chain type of bluetooth output and receptor.
Like, I have a JBL bluetooth speaker... there's no way for me to know how to connect it. My JBL looks for my phone and I can click to confirm the connection. If I tried to pair it with the Oontz, I wouldn't know what to look for or click to make them connect, if that makes sense.
Can I plug The speaker to my electric Drum kit
Sorry for the late response. TH-cam must have blocked your comment. It accepts 3.5mm aux and bluetooth, so if your drum kit has that type of output, you should be ok.

Great information, I just bought the new version 14watts. Sounds great, but is their anyway to adjust the bass to get more bass. Lots of highs, bass not so much.

I like heavy bass in my music which is why I chose it over the JBL.... which has nice bass too, but not as much as the Oontz.
