The voice acting in this show was beyond great.
Many were done by both actors and voice actors, good stuff
& ANIMATION TOO, THE ART STYLE, THE MOVEMENT, THE REFLECTIONS, THE STAGES, ETC.
I love the shape of the faces, the elongated limbs, the little vocoder warble in their voices. It's a great aesthetic and it sets it apart.
The design is from Robert valley, he is amazing at what he does, he has worked on love death and robots plus his own movie Pear cidar and cigarettes. Overall amazing dude

I noticed that one of them don’t have that effect. I assume that’s Flynn or some other human. But it’s cool you can tell a user from a program by the voice
0:54 Just realized some epic foreshadowing, with such cold fury and fighting with two discs Tron suddenly looks a lot like Rinzler. He says he’ll never become the puppet of a tyrant either.

Perhaps he was acting as an agent on the inside. It would explain why he doesn't outright kill Sam Flynn or Quorra in Legacy.
Destructus I think he was reprogrammed but the reason he didn’t kill them was similar to Culter rejecting the programming. Or Clu kept Sam alive because then Flynn would come out of hiding.
Yeah it was revealed in Legacy in the air chase, Flynn says to Rinzler "what have you become", and then Rinzler resists the reprogramming and destroys Clu's jet.
That moment when Tron is essentially Darth Vader.

Yeah, one being wholesome: Trom officially calling Beck a friend, and the other being legit pretty terrifying: Tron literally about to almost kill Dyson
Tron becoming Ranzler is a bit like Anakin becoming Darth Vader. You could see his getting more and more evil during the series
Well... Slightly.. Tron becomes Rinzler after Beck tried to reset Tron's code to stop the virus. It worked.. But not in the Beck wanted.

I was crushed when I learned the show was being cancelled.
It was the moment i lost faith on Disney. And as years proved later on...i turned out to be correct.

I bet he and Cyrus The Virus go around and around like Batman and Two Face, or Daredevil and Bullseye...I would say Pavel is more like the Joker...throw in Purl as Pavel's Girlfriend/Flunky(Harley Quinn/Typhoid Mary) and you've got the perfect Triple Threat with Cyrus/Pavel/Purl...the three of them would single out Paige and drive her out...leading to Beck teaming up with her two face the three of them...
3:00 I've always had a strong suspicion that Beck somehow has a connection/history with Clue after that vision he had. I'll even take a cheesy he's Clue's "son" that was recycled/reconfigured after a failed attempt by Clue to make a copy of himself for whatever reason (maybe Flynn talked about his son to him, and he tried creating a program but failed and something happened to it)

Ignis king that could be another reason why clu wanted to Page Sam other than needing someone from the outside world to open the portal and it also could be a reason why clu was happy to see Sam idk It’s just a thought
I think that beck traveled to the real world. while he travelled, Beck got information from the old grid and from master control, you can see someting like him in a second. we could interpretate that (based on nothing because we dont have a season 2) that this was a message of what is goint to happen in the future...you know rinzler will appeard.
@@victoriapiva3467 This could have not happened, as Flynn tells in Evolution, the entire 2.0 Grid is cut off, no connection to the outside world, or at least anything but the pager system that Flynn had connected to it, which allowed Alan to receive said page. The best guess is, because the 2.0 Grid would have been built in some form on the 1.0 Grid, that their was data left over of Master Control, and it is possible that the Master Control data is very similar to what Clu is once he become a bit of a Tyrant. Now, what does that mean with Tron in the middle of that, well we know Tron becomes Rinzler, a cog controlled in the wheel of Clu's tyranny, just like Zark was in the original Tron feature film.
Its Beck seeing the calculations of cycles yet to come, showing just how much Clu was forcing the Grid forward towards his goals.

Man watching this tron it was like a calmness for me with some action to actually take eyes off of humanity and their problems and mistakes for once and see other beings and how they deal with theirs.
shows like these with such a unique universe are kinda rare, and I agree are refreshing to learn about their world. I like transformers for example, but hate the human element in the show as I want to see the transformers lives and culture only.

It might imply that beck actually becomes the next tron but clu captures and repurposes him, and that’s tron trying to help him fight his repurposing (this would imply that beck is actually rinzler and tron might have died by his hand, it would also kinda be neat if rinzler’s (beck’s) two discs were actually his own disk, and tron’s disk.

That identity loss episode (first clip) is so underrated... one of the best filler arcs I've seen in any show. The course of events, direction and choreography, contained character development and the new characters themselves amalgamated to a perfectly told story in such little time. I hope someone picks this show back up and gets it where it belongs...

I just made this theory. In tron legacy when it was showing the flashback of when clu betrayed Flynn, clu didn’t actually kill tron, if you look closely you’ll notice he was actually forcefully connecting an orange identity disk to his back, (the continuity is a bit off) what if clu became so skilled at repurposing programs that he became capable of injecting a sort of repurposing virus into an identity discs that makes it to where when a program puts on the disk, it instantly repurposes them, it would make sense because as soon as clu put the disk on tron you can hear the growl of rinzler.
Or (and this would have to imply that despite having been on clu’s side the whole time, clu repurposed him just in case) at some point between uprising and legacy, dyson dies and clu gets his hands on tron’s and dyson’s discs and fuses them together (much like how tron and beck do), and forcefully puts it one trons back, and since half the disk is dyson’s it still contains the repurposed programming and repurposes tron.
Or (one more) rinzler is actually beck, and he got repurposed and fought tron to the death (and kills tron), afterwards he takes tron’s disk, and uses it it conjunction with his own which also explains why rinzler has two discs. This theory could also work vice versa where tron gets repurposed and kills beck and takes his disk.
Love your theory! I actually have one that runs along a similar vein too:
Clu captures Tron at some point after Uprising (probably using Beck and Friends or perhaps an entire city as 'hostage' to get him to come somewhat peaceably) and takes his identity disc. Perhaps through a combo of repurposing and letting the 'forgetting' problem seen in the Identity episode run its course, Tron loses his sense of self, his memories become deeply buried/locked away, and he's basically turned into a zombie-like thrall to Clu's bidding, Rinzler.
I agree, that repurposing, in some form, would likely have to employed on Tron to get him to the degree of obidience we see in Legacy --- though, unlike other repurposed programs like Cutler, Tron's uniqueness prevents him from being completely taken over.
A couple objects of hope remain. One, that Tron was not written by Flynn and therefore cannot be completely overwritten by Clu's machinations since his code is different than anything found on the Grid. This might be why Rinzler shows hesitation in dispatching Sam, a User, in the Games or near the end of Legacy when he clearly has the skill and ferocity to do so. Two, Beck would still have the other, unaffected half of Tron's identity disc (Clu could have fabricated a second half to keep Tron under his control in Legacy) which could be reunited with him at the right time and restore his memories/full capacities once more. :)
If anything this show proved that Reginald VelJohnson is a fantastic dramatic actor.
It's a shame this show was cancelled. For some reason they never released it in Latin America, and it was showed during the ads.

I feel like if they promote a second season on Disney+ it will definitely attract a much bigger audience then it did when it first came out. TRON: Uprising is too good to be left in the dust ya know, I would really love to see it come back.
Why didnt Tron just keep Dysons disk. Dyson would survive long enough to deliver the message before his memory would be wiped out.

I wish this show was more popular back when it first released. Too bad we only got the one season and then nothing afterwards
It's so clear where this show was going: Clu takes over Argon and kills Tesler. Dyson dies and Clu manages to capture and brainwash Tron, turning him into Rinzler. Beck either dies a hero, sacrificing himself to save his friends, or he becomes the leader of a guerilla army, fighting Clu from the outskirts. Same this show wasn't able to reach its full potential. Would have benefited from some better writing and a second season, but the animation and voice acting were on point.
