Whirlpool and wound care have been quite common, especially in the 70s, 80s and some in the 90s. The Hubbard Tank, a stainless steel tank with a turbine, which was invented in 1928, by the American Engineer Carl P. Hubbard, was used in the treatment of the Burned patient. The patient would be lowered into the pool via the means of a Hydraulic Lift, and their burns would be debrided with the means of the whirlpool. The Hubbard tank is not used like it was, as now a shower method is used.
