Ninja turtles are awesome! These are some really cool comics. I’d love to pick up one of these for my collection! I’m going to check some of these out on eBay! Great video man!
Picked up TMNT #2 third print at the Smallville con this weekend for $10! Saw that awesome Richard Corben cover flipping through boxes and didn't even hesitate.
I agree. Patience has its rewards! I am a HUGE mouser fan, so TMNT2 was actually the only Mirage TMNT issue I had in my collection for years. It is full of quality first appearances and a 15k print run with all the blacks on the cover makes high grade slabs tough and valuable!
I struggled with that one! If it would have been geared more towards investing, it would have made the cut. With only 500 copies it’s definitely a tough early issue. Thanks so much for watching and for the comment Roy!
great video with some solid choices for future growth. Oh course some are not going to be for the average collector :). Have you considered a Star Wars focused list?
2 questions gobbledygook issues1 and 2 are the same story of fugitoid issue 1 ? Is there any rereleses of gobbledygook issues 1 and 2 ? Like in a volume or coloection ?
Great Vid. A couple of honorable mentions. #7 second print variant cover. #1 5th Printing. I like the cover and it's still very attainable. I actually have an opportunity to get a #1 3rd printing. It's a raw comic. But the seller is only looking at around $500. I just want a copy so bad.
I used to always try and keep 3rd printings on my wall. They weren’t too hard to find or overly expense and they were AMAZING ice breakers. People would constantly stop and ask what printing it was and anything you can do to stop a potential customer as they’re walking by and get them to engage is a good thing. Today, it’s a bit herder, to say the least.
Hey Ped! Thanks for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I’m working on another Top 10 Comics video that will be out soon! I hope you enjoy it as well. Be sure to check out our Top 10 Comics playlist too! It’s full of videos we’ve put out on the channel this year!
Thanks for watching! I really enjoyed working on the Mirage run this fall. It was fun to look for something a little different than what I normally do. One small heads up, CGC actually lists the 1st appearance of Karai as TMNT52, while the market considers it to be TMNT53. Like we needed another thing to argue about.
I got a few of the books on this list like the nes TMNT,TMNT adventures #1 and I have a TMNT #1 color error edition CGC SS 9.8. I am saving every thing till Dec of this year to get my grail books, AMS#129,TMNT#1,Cerebus#1,Hulk#181, Batman#1, Amazing Fantasy#15 ,X-men#1 and Detective Comics #167 buy I can't afford all of them so if you was gonna just get 3 books from my list which 3 would you get?
I'm surprised TMNT #4 - 2nd print - with the error cover wasn't mentioned. The fist production of #4 2nd print was printed with the incorrect cover which was intended for TALES of the TMNT #1. Out of the 60,000 print run, it is estimated that only 600-1,000 made it to market before the error was discovered. All other copies were destroyed. I go one for cover price [here in Canada no less] when it first came out. I remember my LCS owner - who was a crook - tried to intimidate me into returning it ("There's been a recall... you HAVE to return it, or, they'll come after you" WHO is going to come after me? GTFO) but I didn't bite. As I write this, a graded copy at 9.6 sold for $2,600 in November of 2018. MY copy is literally on it's way to get graded
Hey stranger you most have been real busy welcome back. I used had a few early Archie TMNT books. Im going to share this video right now Merry Christmas to you.
Thanks Joe! Real world stuff unfortunately. If you follow us on FB or IG there is a little more info. November and December are always pretty busy, but this one was a bit crazier than most.
Hey Thomas! Thanks for watching! Avengers 8 has been my main SA recommendation for a while. I feel like TOS50 has some more room to grow, especially if a proper Mandarin ever shows up in the MCU. And my final Marvel recommendation is Avengers 57. Still seems fairly undervalued with WandaVision right around the corner. For DC I would stick with the early SA rogues gallery member’s 1st appearances: Lois Lane 70, Bat171, Bat155. Also Bat181 is way undervalued compared to other 1st appearances, but with a recent record sale for a super high grade copy, prices may start correcting to where they should be. For non-big two: Archie’s Madhouse 22. Sabrina continues to be one of the more popular characters in the Archie universe and affordable copies can still be had. And this last one is very late SA, but Scooby Doo #1 is very tough to find in the wild, but worth a long term hold in my opinion.
He thinks eBay prices are outrages rip off look at Amazon and mercari there worst I have third print of issue one turtle book couldn’t afford second or first print

Thanks for watching! There are plenty to choose from! This list is just scratching the surface.
Picked up TMNT #2 third print at the Smallville con this weekend for $10! Saw that awesome Richard Corben cover flipping through boxes and didn't even hesitate.
Nice pickup! It’s a good cover, but I’m a mouser guy, so it’s hard to beat the Laird cover of the 1st/2nd print for me.
A part 2 and part 3 are needed.
Awesome vid man. I still think TMNT #2 is undervalued. You can still get NM copies under $1k

Nice video! Don't forget about the Amazing Heroes preview appearance that pre-dates Gobbledygook.
SO many options for sure! Thanks for watching!
Found a fairly high grade copy of Turtlemania Special no.1 in one of my boxes today! That’s what brought me here
Very nice score! Congrats on the find. I hope you enjoyed the content!
@@CoMoComicBooks I did. Thanks for making it searchable!

Thanks for watching! Star Wars is 🔥🔥🔥 right now too! Seems like there is a new issue popping off every couple of days!
thank you for making the effort with the history and facts and actually writing a script. keep up the good work!
You’re welcome Tim! Scripting saves me a ton of time filming and editing, so it’s a benefit for me as well. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
I just got a tmnt#4 2rd print and i also got a tmnt#1 special color error edition cgc ss 9.8 but i am still wanting a tmnt#1 2 rd print.
I lucked into a 2nd about a year and a half ago. Trying to find an attainable 1st print now. It’s a bit rough out there right now.

If it were for me and I had to pick three for my collection (assuming I didn’t have any of them already) I’d go with Batman 1, AF15 and TMNT1.
Very helpful video! Maybe do a Transformers keys in the near future? 😃
Hey Mark! Thanks for watching! Transformers is a good idea! I think an 80s cartoon list would even be good!

It was definitely up for consideration. I hope to track one of those down for the PC one day. Best wishes on your submission!
You’re a true fan sir.
Growing up when I did, I don’t think I had a choice! 🤣
I need me some Turtles comics
You’d just turn around and sell them for a huge profit again! I know you!

I have 4 first print and #1 Archie
Very nice! That’s a good start!
Great list! Can we get a 11-20 Tmnt list …..tmnt #47 space Usagi might make the list
When I made the video, TMNT47 was still like a $5 book! It’s crazy to see how much it took off.
Awesome video!
Thanks for watching Jay! I’m glad you enjoyed the content!
I think you meant TMNT #4 2nd print 7:03 correct me of I'm wrong though
What’re some silver age books that you would recommend investing in, but aren’t overly expensive in low grade? (Besides X-men or fantastic four)

Yo dude love the channel but u need a ice pack or a bucket of cold water cause u red as hell 😂
Thankfully red is a good color for me.
I think its time for an 'R' rated TMNT movie
I wouldn’t hate that!
I enjoyed the content
Thanks for watching Tim! I’m glad you enjoyed the content!
Gobbledygook is rare your'e not gonna get it
It’s rare, that’s for sure. They’re a lot more available than they’ve been in the past.

Yeah… I don’t recommend that.
