Topper Tent install on my 2003 Toyota Tacoma Thanks for watching!! Please don’t forget to like and subscribe 🤙🏼 Stay Safe Adventuring. Topper Tent: thetoppertent.com/?sca_ref=26...
Regarding the long strip of velcro, it took me watching this video dozens of times to figure out I needed to have the strip with the large section on the bottom and the thin section on the top so that the rear soft topper panel could flip up and the tent topper could attach to the smaller velcro section that could be folded down to expose it. I feel like an idiot. Thanks again for the video install
I actually have another vid that you can check out on the channel that shows the tent door fully unzipped and rolled up. Definitely check it out when you get a chance. Thanks for watching as well 🤙🏼
I’m not sure to be honest, I have a Softopper and it’s compatible. You might want to reach out to Tooper Tent on IG and ask. They are really friendly and will answer all your questions.
I can go from hauling motorcycles to sleeping in a covered waterproof bed by myself in minutes after unloading.. It cost half to one-third the price of a hard top!!! Again, ONE person can unfold and button the top in minutes... Hmmm, should I continue? Watch a couple videos and see how versatile they are.
I don't think this works well on with a hard top, cap, or truck canopy, despite their claims of having a version that works. They have no videos of how it would install. Something fishy about this company, frankly.
Fishy? ... you act as if they are some super corporation? To me they seem like a small individually owned and ran business trying to market and sell an idea. Perfect ... probably not, but with some success the product will evolve.

Thank you for your comment! I also installed wrong about 4 times before finding this and it all makes sense now.
Nice security / tent warmer system.
Thanks for your time!!
I had this setup. It’ll not protect in rain. Use a trap to cover the tailgate when it rains or snows.
So it’s not waterproof?
@@johnhancock1855 nope. Water resistant. I’d put a tarp over it if you plan on being in the rain in a downpour or raining all day.
Would be nice to see the tent door unzipped and how easy/not it is to get in and out of the back. Great video though! Thanks!

Nice vid!
Leaning towards getting one of these for my pickup. Does it have a bug screen under the door?
Thanks, really appreciate it and yes it does! Check out my other Topper Tent vid to see it.
is your softopper grey or black? i have a silver tacoma as well and i like how yours looks, deciding what color to get.
Mine is black.
TY for the video, how is this with rain? Do you get water inside the bed area?
I haven’t tried it out on the rain just yet tbh.
@@Yota__Adventures Hey man, have you gotten a chance to try this in the rain yet? Super interested in this, thanks for the video!
@@griffinboone5964 Unfortunately I still haven’t tested in the rain yet. Been really busy with work.
@@Yota__Adventures its been 7 months, surely you have gotten it wet and have a verdict on if its waterproof or not?
@@Yota__Adventures Never mind, it took some digging on their website to find it but they mention that it is waterproof.
Lot of work for 18" of floor space & no elbow room. Looks like it"ll flap, be very noisy in wind.
I'm guessing this doesn't work well with hard shells when the window/door flies stright up for the most part
They actually have a tent version for the hard tops as well 😄
@@Yota__Adventures oh awesome, thanks for the reply!
@@angell6425 No problem!! Here’s a link to check it out thetoppertent.com/?sca_ref=2637059.g9xWgNppEI
Where did you get your air bed? Is there anything available on a first gen tundra double cab?
It’s the Exped Mega Mat Duo
I’m sure they have other sizes available. This one happens to fit perfectly between the wheel well of the 1st Gen taco
@@Yota__Adventures do you mind sending me if there is a website for that brand thanks bud.

How much does it cost?
Will this work on a bestop supertopper?

Do the straps scratch your tailgate?
Nope, haven’t had any scratches on it
I don't understand why anyone would spend big money on a soft topper to begin with.

I love my fas-top soft topper! It folds down inside the bed when not needed and tonneau cover rolls out.
