I saw the movie back in like 84. My son was just born and I was 21. Fell-in-love with it and started a very extensive collection on her, she's still my favorite actress. I even made an exact replica of the red dress she wore in R&J, complete with the cap. All beading on cap/sleeves done by hand. I'm 61 now, and too old to wear it, but in my 20's I did wear it to a Renaissance Festival. Everyone was asking to take pictures with me. I just love Olivia. A beautiful lady inside and out🥰
I only just watched Romeo and Juliet after all these years, and I am 60! But is was fabulous, like a breath of fresh air! Olivia and Leonard were just wonderful in the film, I had to buy the DVD!
She changed my life also, at age 13. I fell in love with the movie, and began reading the play also, several times. I love how she is keeping the movie alive for the current generation, and us older folks.

Ohmygosh! She was phenomenal! You need to read Zeffirelli's autobiography where he speaks of the crucifixion scene in Jesus of Nazareth and what happened to Olivia in that scene...Powerful!!!🙏🏼

You know….there’s a quote by Maya Angelou that says, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did (although that’s certainly not true in Olivia’s case), but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
I think that’s certainly true, and that’s excellent news for Olivia, because she has always made people feel great…not only through acting and her movies, but also how she treats others. She is a genuinely good and sweet person, and I’ve always loved her. I’m sure many in the world would love to be able to tell her how much she’s meant to them. Bless her.

What a treasure and gift you are Olivia! I share your spiritual views! And what a privilege to see you on the internet 50+ years after the only ‘Romeo and Juliet’. I so hope before you & Leonard are gone someone gets some good quality video and sound of you & Romeo talking about everything together. Everything I see of you online is poor quality and bad sound. As I watched and listened to this I saw Juliet in and out of your mannerisms and expressions. Truly magical! And Franco was right, this film has the same powerful affect on me today at 71 as it did when I saw the film in 1968. ❤️

Me ha tocado mucho cuando cuenta lo dificil que fue su salida de Argentina a los 7 años y la dificil adaptacion a Inglaterra. Tuve que dejar la Argentina a la misma edad que Olivia y la comprendo mucho. En mi caso fue une exilio forzado porque mi padre fue un periodista y escritor perseguido.

She said that she was bilingual and that her english side spoke Argentinian???? What no such language Argentinians speak Spanish! She dosen't know that? Seems to me she is making it up as she goes along!
We speak a deformation of what you can call "Spanish" which in fact is "Castellano". She did not make it up, its just a way of call our language.
Her personality matches her beauty.
