We moved to Mexico 🇲🇽 from Lago Lindo area.🇨🇦 We loved living there, loved the walking trails in the Lake District, being close to the Hendey was perfect. We are much happier here in Mexico 🇲🇽✌🏼 Great video, 2nd vid I've watched now you have new subs here brother. 🙏❤️
I appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching! Although I have stated that I am biased towards the central core of the city, there are definitely many advantages to areas further out into the suburbs. Personally I have great memories of my grandparent's place in Twin Brooks, neat area - especially the ravine. I appreciate you subscribing, cheers!
Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback, I definitely think I could be doing everything better but I'm glad these little videos are providing some value! Cheers
Thank you this helped I've been looking around for sll the areas and this gives me huge idea how to look at stuff I like your insight I've subscribed thanks I like the map thing too that helps getting navigational training. I'd like to see more about LRT stations when I was in Vancouver there were some stops little more dangerous and some stops safer that could be neat video unless u did it already. Thanks for your work helpful for sure. You are solid. Cheers

@@Freelancersupravat I appreciate the offer but I am just starting out and I'm not able to hire anyone yet to help the channel - check back with me in awhile! Cheers
Please don’t forget the Callingwood neighbourhood. I bought a condo here years ago because I could walk to the grocery store, the daycare and still work downtown with express bus service! Didn’t need and couldn’t afford a car.
Yeah there are definitely a lot of good neighborhoods I didn't list, and I may do more Edmonton neighborhoods down the road to include some areas further out from the central core. I actually lived in Ormsby Place years ago and that area has a decent amount of stuff within walking distance - that YMCA is a great fitness facility too. Cheers mate, have a great weekend!
So this is where my history education as a Canadian didn't follow through. I've always loved history, but when you said Giovanni Caboto, my mind momentarily stopped LOL and I thought, "that's like John Cabot...as in "the trail'"😂 Seriously, I'm pretty old now but this is the first time I realized he was Italian. Yeesh. I think at one time I thought it might bean anglicization of a French name (ka-BO). 🤷🏻♀️ Thank you for the lesson❤🇮🇹
Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it - and I really love Edmonton's Little Italy, definitely worth a visit if you haven't been in awhile. Cheers!
Calgary has no old edgy areas like Edmonton does. Chinatown used to be vibrant all night with restaurants open till 5 a.m. 96 st in Boyle was sooo bad in the 70's and 80's. We used to drive down it for entertainment as a teenager 😂
Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback! Boyle street is definitely still pretty rough but it seems to be steadily improving and I can see this developing into one the coolest neighborhoods in the city in the near future. Lots of living options, close to downtown and bordering the river valley.
@@strangenorth Totally agree. I'm surprised it hasn't been gentrified. But Edmonton seems slow in that. I think we have the potential to be the 4th best city in Canada. Whyte Ave needs some clean up. Too many for lease signs and too much social disorder.
Whyte ave has gone downhill slightly in my estimation, more open social disorder. Honestly I even miss things like Chapters and Starbucks. I do think that downtown/Oliver/124 street areas are getting more popular and taking a bit of the "buzz" away from Strathcona. 124 street in particular is steadily improving, even some decent little regular outdoor markets
@@strangenorth100% agree about Whyte Ave. I feel like I'm under siege these days and I've lived in my house 20 years. Confronted a guy trying to break into my neighbors house just before Xmas and he attacked me with brass knuckles or big rings or something. Also had attempted home invasions and one night a guy walked in my house cause I left the door open. That's just two examples of constant serious disorder
@@strangenorthI'm selling and moving to Oliver /124 st. It's awesome without the craziness of Whyte Ave. I really miss Starbucks ,Chapters and Army and Navy
started at Frank Lees about 79/80. frank is an Edmonton legend. Like Bruce Lee . Frank took a lot of flak from the Chinese community for teaching whites kung fu in the 1960;s. In a real fight with Bruce Lee I,d bet on Frank
Cool thanks for sharing, I didn't know that! I've never been inside the building but the place has strong presence and reputation in the city and it's always been spoken of very highly. Would be cool to try even one class there just to see the inside! I always thought that place looked like the classic urban martial arts dojo out of a Hollywood movie - an authentic little gym in a rough area of town
@@strangenorth I live in an apartment just a few blocks west of 97th street and 110 avenue in the late 80's and even then it wasn't the greatest place I ever lived!
Too bad city council nixed the gondola. The old powerplant was supposed to be developed into a retail/food complex. like what Baltimore did with theirs. The gondola would have linked whyte ave with rossdale and then downtown. And it was a private development with guarantees of no tax payer cost. Unbelivable kick in n.... for Edmonton losing this.
I am a plumber in Edmonton and have build hundreds of houses in new construction. The houses we build now is cheap. The neighborhood are so boring because it’s so much suburban that just to get milk you need to drive 5 min with car Atleast imagine walking.
Yeah it seems like houses were built a lot stronger back in the day eh! I definitely prefer the central core of the city, but many others disagree. Cheers mate, thanks for watching
Yeah fair some footage is kinda bleak, I don't mind including it though as I like the idea of showing Edmonton in all seasons and conditions. Thanks for watching
Hello Sir, I hope you are well, I researched your channel and found that your channel has some problems. You need to customize your channel to increase views, subscribers and even monetization. If your channel is a little optimized and if the videos are SEO then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow . Your channel SEO is very low(53.7/100). Do you want to customize? I am waiting for your response. Best regards Supravat Das
I will take any free tips you have as I am quite new and have a lot to learn. As far as hiring someone at this point, are you loco cabron? In this economy?
Interesting to learn so many new things about the city I've lived in for so long!
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks - it was neat to see how Jasper ave east to 82 st has developed. Was a bit dicey when I was living in Edmonton
Thanks for watching! It still can be sketchy but I think that area has been improving a lot and it has a ton of future potential
