Remember 10-3-1987, when over a hundred or so Liverpool fans charged the gates at the north bank and got in for free, then the police escorted them at the side of the pitch to the clockend , after the game there was around 16 arsenal fans slashed , even a police horse, which was disgusting from a random knife man, most of the fans cut didn't even know that they'd been cut, Liverpool played spurs away 12 days later, it was in the Sunday people newspaper , saying the metropolitan police will be on the lookout for the craze knife man, the knife man is no longer alive today, it's 💯 genuine..

I remember that too. A lone fan slashing everyone after the game. You're right it was in the paper the Sunday of spurs away saying the police were on the lookout for him at spurs.
Remember Liverpool fans getting on the Burnley coaches attacking everyone down near the cemetery in FA cup. Played them a couple of seasons later and they expected the same out come. 3 coach loads of Bacup Clarets smashed em to bits laughing at their flicky haircuts and dressed like girls 😂😂

What a load of crap! For starters away, fans had the goal viewed to the right, not the left, back then. For clarity, I'm a football fan, not a hooligan looking for a ruck. I was unfortunate enough to be on the first train special that arrived at Lime Street. I was feeling ok because back then there were only 2 safe grounds according to the media. 1 Wembley, and 2 Anfield, because they are the' best fans in the world!' Yeah right! I got off a bus from Lime Street that stopped by the kop. We were met by an onslaught of bricks and boulders that rained down on us from above. After managing to escape that and got into the ground, there was about 3-400 Arsenal already there. Police were facing us on our side of a low dividing wall. Liverpool fans were on the other, but the Police were allowing them to jump over, with their back's still turned facing us. By the grace of god the next special arrived to bolster numbers that charged the liverpool fans.They retreated back to the other side of the wall. During the match there were too many Arsenal fans for anything to happen, but outside was a different story. Running street battles were everywhere. The worse night of my life, by far, didn't even get a mention by the media. I took away two things that night. 1) Liverpool are the media darlings. 2 ) Brian Clough was right, animals!
I attended two away games as an away supporter with Swansea City in the early 1980's and the 'myth' of Liverpool being this super friendly place full of "Liverpudlian humour", warmth and sportsmanship was indeed something perpetuated by the media/newspapers.
Truth be told I had fallen for the 'myth' before my first ever visit and was shocked when I saw stuff that was the complete and utter opposite of.
I've since then always assumed that the neutral journalists and reporters never came to Anfield or Goodison park as an away supporter? And arrived at games way too early, and left way too late from within the safe and secure surroundings of their main-stand press section to expereince what actually went on.
Liverpool must have been in shock that night like how we gave it to Burnley at Turf Moor two season's ago, underestimate Arsenal at your peril.

Thing is, Liverpool have never had a so-called firm. We've never been interested in that shite. We just don't have it if anyone comes here trying to take the piss, that's all. Some have tried and were sent packing. I don't recall us travelling to away grounds just for the scraps. We had bigger and better things to do. Maybe when we joined Everton for the 'Ordinary to Chelsea' revenge mission after Everton got spanked in London, but that's about it. We're football fans, not dicks looking for a ruck. If we took a so-called firm, we wouldn't have at all. Arsenal have never been rated by anyone. No axe to grind here either. I don't mind Arsenal as a club. Liverpool have never had a travelling 'firm'. Everyone knows this. We've always had bigger fish to fry. Like following our team as it won everything at home and abroad.

Was at both games .At Anfield the scousers threw a lot of bricks but run whenever we got close to them.At Highbury they had a piss poor turnout who were crying to the Police that the Clockend should be for away fans only.
