i’ll be completely honest, when I first saw the trailers for the FNAF movie and saw the main characters were “clueless white guy taking care of his child relative” and “blonde-haired girl who’s a little mysterious” all i could think was “oh, so it’s just Christmas Mail but horror” and i’ve never been able to un-think it ever since
Fun fact, most letters to Santa are sent using the zip code 12345. This is a real zip code, belonging solely to the GE campus in Schenectady, NY. When it was first designated, they were not prepared for the influx of mail for the North Pole, since US mail is routed primarily by zip code. No, but I HAVE noticed a weird trend of Lacey Chabert's and Danica McKellar's characters usually being in a food or art-related field of some kind. Even the one where Lacey Chabert was like an assistant or something, she spent part of the movie getting coffee for other people.
That's because writers are often so involved in nothing but writing, that they don't know what else to write about. You can also notice this in family movies where the mother or father has a busy job where they have to do a "big presentation" at some point, because movie writers and producers only know about selling their big ideas to studio heads, so their life is about making presentations essentially and they write about what they know.
this is totally normal since these movies are shot in predominal white western countries. In Bollywood for example all movies are shot with mostly Indian brown people

“aren’t you raising an orphan” is something i’ve quoted to my mom probably a million times now and i still haven’t told her the context of the line. it’s just a weird inside joke now
(necessary context: my mom is my adoptive mom. i’m an orphan as my bio parents gave me up as a newborn and i was even in a literal orphanage for a while as i’m not from the US. anyway, i was adopted and i still make orphan jokes about myself because they’re objectively peak comedy)
