omg, almost 9 years after this watch came out, finally someone manages to capture its aura in a youtube video. didn't think i would live to see this day. this is one of the most underrated and forgotten beautiful chronographs that is out there.
Its a beautiful watch! Wanted one for a long time but couldn't find the right one on the used market and eventually moved on. It's a master-class in materials science with the grey ceramic.
I got to try this watch on my 7.5” wrist and it was perfection. Well, except for the price point. I highly recommend finding a used copy, being ceramic it should look like new even after a few years in. $8500 seems like the lowest for now. I have t seen these for cheaper, which is amazing after all this time. Great video!
Great video. The intro reminded me of Top Gear, but for watches. You forgot to mention the other unique thing about this watch... the Omega logo on the crown is also lumed.
Hi Harrison. Loving the style and quality of your content lately. Keep up the great work. I bought the Grey Side new a few years ago, when the price wasn't too crazy, and it remains my favourite watch. I agree with your point that it looks understated most of the time. But then the light hits that platinum dial and its personality completely changes! Question: That doesn't look like the stock strap, but it looks great. Could you find out where Jason got that strap from please? Cheers, Adrian
I had Jayson from Artisan Straps custom make a gray suede strap for this watch. I think the texture on the gray suede pairs perfectly with the texture on the platinum dial. I found the alligator OEM strap too formal for my daily style. The gray suede definitely gives it a more casual look. I would highly recommend it. I agree that this watch pops in the sunlight. I am not sure how Omega did it, but they managed to combine polished and brushed surfaces on the ceramic case that play with the light, not to mention the sparkle from the platinum dial.
Really an awesome looking watch. And with a ceramic and high-end movement... Love it. I think it looks super hot on the alligator band but either way. What a great piece.
I can totally relate to you with that intro. For the price tag and the pictures I was like I don’t really think it will be that good. But it is. When you get it on your wrist it’s really amazing and it grew on me the more I wore it. However I cannot relate to you when you called us watch subtle and boring. I don’t really understand how you have downplayed the Watch so much and you said you would never even notice it in a store. Seems like you have conflicting opinions.

What is that strap? I don't like the alligator strap it comes with, and I'm struggling to find aftermarket alternatives.

@@JasonJohnson-bc4jy Thanks for the reply Jason. Regarding the strap, I agree, it looks fantastic.
Seems to wear nicely despite the thickness. Great review. What happened to your Autodromo review?
What band is that? Looks awesome
Quick question what’s a good price to buy a 311 big box? Thank you
Honestly I’m not the best at knowing prices off the top of my head, let alone for that watch.
@@HarrisonElmore got it. Thank you
what’s the price ?
Dark side of the moon is where it's at...future classic and much cooler then any Daytona imo 🎉
Magnificent Speedy with the Sedna gold bezel and acid etched meteorite dial!!’😱😱😱😱🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Perfect for my 8” wrist love the colour 😍
Not so much for my 5.5 inch wrist haha

Agreed!
I love the bold indices, it’s super unique. I wish I had bigger wrist lol
It doesn’t wear too big. It’s feasible for me and I’m 6.75” wrist, but I feel you!

I love the blue side of the moon with aventurine dial.
Ditto. Review for that is likely next week
