As someone who has watched Alex since the bear-mode days it's insane to see how far he has come. Thats what being humble and determined looks like. It's the first time I feel "proud" of a youtuber or person active on social media, as weird as that sounds.
Wasn't Alex bear mode like 6 months ago? He didn't really "come far" since then he just cut. He will probably bulk up again very soon. Bear mode is where its at. Get strong as shit and make consistent gains.

You've also mentioned a lifter hitting 45lbs muscle (freakishly) in the first year, guys that shoot up and you'd never even guess - forever 5'9 160lbs and like no benefit. And I'm always wondering when I look at someone - just for the sake of keeping realistic goals. It's not always so obvious, guess it doesn't even matter, I just don't like being told enhancement is easy to spot while there seems to be a lot of gray area.

You can watch the changes he made now and how much better his physique is. He now understands that as long as your diet is on point, progression is going to be a by product of your volume + recovery, so that's where the focus should be.
@@coin777 Brother, Alex documented his journey so well that it basically proves his natty status, slow and steady progress for years, he never lost muscle and he never suddenly jumped in progress, believe what you will, but in my opinion the journey is more relevant of a proof than the end result.
Huge respect for Alex. He chose the slower, harder, "smaller" natural way yet still holds his own. Not the largest guy here but the biggest man. A tremendous inspiration to 95% of normal guys out there who care more about their long-term mental and physical health than the "whatever it takes" ideology. Σεβασμός!
I don’t like to lower the ped using homies , I have a lot of them , I’d say about 90 percent of the friends I have that lift are enhanced, some don’t have a choice , they however come in all shapes sizes and personalities, some are the most humble , kind humans in tha planet , salute to them , some are dicks though lol

honestly although natural lifters don't achieve the same mass or strength, the actual look of their bodies is far more pleasing to me, it looks like how a fit and healthy human is supposed to look, compared to absurd thickness and width

Great mechanical dropset for delts: lateral raises > upright row > shoulder press. Use the same weight for each exercise. Rest just enough between exercises to hit the same reps.
it shows how far you can push while doing the total opposite of what was done here... if he trained like this his entire life he would've been way smaller

I love the encouragement everyone is giving each other, but it really reminds me of the nurses cues to me giving birth. A lot of bodybuilding stuff reminds me of pregnancy stuff actually, the diet, the limitations of getting a lot bigger than normal, the pushing, the growing new human flesh. 😂 These guys can say they know what it's like.
Hello Dr. israetel. I noticed some lifts you had a longer pause during the peak of the contraction. Why is that? I understand going through full rom is important but if the muscle building portion of the lift is the loaded stretch. Why not prioritize it always? Big fan. Love your content.
I subscribe to all these beasts! Great to see them train together. Damn I love those Lu Raises on the machines, I do them with DB and do drop sets of normal side raises when I can't raise up anymore. But I wish I had that machine at my gym. Those Upright rows were wild, I gotta try that version! Gotta love Dr. Mike taking pics with fans in the back between sets of Bicep Curls. :)
Dr. Mike, could you do a video on Pavel and Dan John and their training principles? Would be curious to hear what you had to say on them. I’m a career firefighter and a lot of guys at the station like to follow their programming but I’m highly skeptical.
I think Pavel's not about hypertrophy, and he's said as much (wrapped in machismo about special forces people not wanting the caloric dependency of large muscles vs. just skill/strength). The kettlebell stuff is mostly about endurance first, strength second, hypertrophy a distant third.
Oh man that's probably not something I'll do soon. From what I remember, Dan John's stuff is pretty good. But Pavel's stuff seems a bit cultish at times. - Dr. Mike
Another advantage of going all the way up is that you don't need as much weight to challenge your delts. Great if you're using relatively light dumbbells at home.
