    I am suing Dr. Mike. I took your advice on back training, and got a super wide thick back. One day I was waking in the wilderness, and a drug cartel forced me at gunpoint to lay face down. They needed a place to land their cargo plane full of drugs. And because of my wide thick back they picked me to land their plane on. Now I live in fear of the police coming to arrest me for my part in the crime.

    Dr. Mike, how do you feel about weighted stretches at the end of a pull up/pull down set as an intensity technique? John Meadows used to recommend a partner assisted stretch on pull downs by pushing down on the weight stack during the eccentric and then holding that stretch for 10-30 seconds at the end of the set.

    Quick question; when you had Jimmy do BB rows, the part where he did isometric contractions at the top and basically focused on the top 'shortened' part of the ROM...doesn't that go against the literature on lengthened partials and what Mike discussed recently on the Revive Stronger podcast regarding distal vs peripheral hypertrophy? I'd guess focusing on that part of the ROM like Jimmy did with the empty bar would promote more 'peripheral' hypertrophy which Mike said in the podcast isn't really desired?

    • @limo-swine6537

      I don't know what Dr. Mike said in that podcast but I believe the bar only row was to just burn the inner mid traps and rhomboids and build up metabolites that way. That isn't a partial exercise, just a finisher movement to completely tire out a muscle.

      @nicholasdonin1465 ปีที่แล้ว

      Give him the benefit of the doubt, sure. But he's nearly as big as Mike and Jared, who have trained enhanced and near optimally for many years. Healthy skepticism is not "laughable". Either way, his physique is still a great accomplishment

    • @BaldOmniMan
      @BaldOmniMan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jonathanpinnell6541 Dr Mike has 40+ lbs on him at a similar height. That’s orders of magnitude more muscle. Probably because Dr Mike is enhanced and Jimmy isn’t lol.
      There’s healthy skepticism and then straight up calling Dr Mike, Jared, and Jimmy liars. His stats add up to those of an elite natural athlete, end of story. Have a great day

    So I typically curl 60lbs for 8-10 reps for 4 sets in my work outs, however, going down to 50lbs and getting my 10 solid slow full reps in I definitely 💯 get way more of a pump and workout and my bi’s look swole as fuck. I’m still one of those dudes confused on building muscle, high reps moderate weight I thought was endurance but I see this time and time again for hypertrophic muscle growth. Heavy I thought is what grows and packs in muscle I’m still so confused with this side of lifting it drives me nuts 😂😂😂 and I’ve been doing this for 20 years or more, what I do know is I like to feel the muscle I’m working mind muscle connection is solid in that field I also typically do 10 Reps and 4 sets I workout two muscle groups a day rest one or two days sometimes more depends but I’m finally learning rest is more important than always lifting 😂. I’m still learning a lot and mikes channel along with jonni Mr. Tell it like it is is all I watch

    I need a training partner like that. Pushing you to the limit but also keeping you honest
    Although Im pretty good at pushing my self like that. I figure while I’m annihilating I might as well keep it going With pause reps or drop sets or cheating it up and concentrating on super slow negatives while keeping that form strict on the negative just to make sure you’re not punkin out. It keeps it interesting. Then you feel that Adrenalin and endorphins

    A lot of this stuff is cooking my forearms and I feel it’s limiting the weight my lats could potentially handle. For context I’m somewhere between late stage beginner and intermediate. Will this just coming in time or does anyone have useful tips?
