That I then heavily edited to create the purpose and lil story telling. But this really inspired me to want to create more Cyber-fiction within the game. New alternative ending you have to have your cyberware over 350 and made the bad choices throughout certain quests, v goes nuts and slaughters their way to arasaka killing yorunobu for getting Jackie killed then gets killed by smasher or mactac while v has a hallucination conversation about Jackie. Will be the only ending you don't kill smasher besides the self snuff. Like the dont fear the reaper ending if you die before the scripted death it goes to credits

You really captured the feeling of what someone in Cyberpsychosis must be feeling like in their last moments. When someone has given up everything just to go out in one big shootout. Brought shivers to my spine seeing V go down this road.

The emotion brewing in this edit is something fierce, the internal conflict, all the voices seemingly torturing V's mind with hatred. But overall this is what V hears, what the player hears, what WE hear. V is taking every negative of his life in Night City and spiraling it all into his own rage to burn it all down to the ground because his sympathy towards it all just doesn't exist. His humanity was traded for pure technological chaos of causing harm to others innocent and sinful alike. A death with no purpose but to cause harm and be remembered...only to be taken down as another case of cyberpsychosis.....Then again there is that case where V could've been taken in and treated by Max tac for his service. Then again...the relic being discovered in V's chip slot but damaged would've put Arasaka a damper on those plans. It's such an interesting concept to see for sure and I hope to see more like this!

I wished cyberpsychosis was an actual mechanic in this game. Hell, a full blown ending for it would've been great too. Probably was considered, but just scrapped due to the developmental hell this game went through, or so I'd like to believe.
I will always wonder what 2077 would've been like if it didn't release so poorly, and on last Gen. Instead of fixing bugs, they would've given us so much more content.
actually, in the lore, v is immune to cyberpsychosis, why ? bc v and johnny share the same body hence they can never be alone, hence they can never be affected by cyberpsycosis
This was an awesome take on cyberpsycosis and a really well made fan ending! Suddenly going from one location to another, finding something as random as a guy's jacket annoying and obviously the visual glitches helped give the cyberpsycosis effect off really well and it was enjoyable to watch, this couldn't have been easy to make so props to you :)
This is amazing. The way V is suffering from a mental, emotional, and psychological breakdown combined with him reliving every bad moment or dialogue from certain quests to him trying to convince himself to not lose control was both a unique and terrifying experience. This video gave us a glimpse into the mind of a person as them become a cyberpscho. This reinforced that Cyberpsychosis is a terrifying and frightening experience for anyone in the cyberpunk universe to experience. Try to imagine every bad experience or every bad situation that you have ever experience and combine that with the heavy amount of cyberware or chrome you have installed only to realize to your shock and horror that you are seconds away to become a cyberpsycho. The glitches and that creepy but terrifying voice is V’s bloodlust and cyberpsycho personified. This is like a What if possibility: What if V gave up, snaps from everything, and becomes a cyberpsycho and dies at hands of MaxTac. The final words “I’m sorry” are meant to symbolize that V is really gone and in the end we saw a cyberpsycho an animal get put down.

as someone who has almost flung over into irl psychosis and was on the edge, you actually did very well with the psychology of it or well, how it feels, like how V was trying so hard to hold himself together 😭 absolutely great work, i understand you had to work with what you have and i give it an 8/10

I never bought the idea that V was immune to Cyberpsychosis. It would've been really interesting to see V teetering on the edge of insanity throughout the game like David from Edgerunners, V would not only be losing himself because of the relic but also because of his implants. Would've been a really interesting dynamic. Amazing video.

I think that would be particularly fitting given what happens in there. The emotional turmoil immediately following that + the removal of Johnny's engram brings a strong case for it I feel

Johnny Silverhand trying to save your sanity, not because he cares, because it’s in his best interest.. but, V thinks he’s finally free.. to at least make a choice on his own free will.. Then the song plays.. man.. I love that song, never fade away.. perfect choice! Wow this is awesome, horrifyingly so. I subbed, I want more. I’m so in love with Cyberpunk, I just want more of it in any capacity.. I’m here for it all, especially someone like yourself that creates using it as a palette to do so. Well, accurate lore MaxTac, slaughter any cyberpsycho. V doesn't really escape that rule. They're just overpowered cyberpsychos programmed mentally to act as troopers. And there's 4 of them. It's an unfair start the second they come in. If in the game, you're able to slaughter waves of MaxTacs, it's only because it's the videogame, and your build has become overpowered. That's all. (Atleast that's my opinion). But what isn't my opinion, is the role of MaxTac itself in the lore.
MaxTac would destroy V. They're not only highly trained but their armor is literally bullet proof. Not to mention being decked out with an insane amount of implants. No one messes with MaxTac, they're in a league of their own.

It’s like a bad k-hole coming to fruition after seeing some crazy clip on TH-cam that changed your journey from carefree lovingness to some spazzed-out Jack-the-Ripper parody of nightmares.
Awesome, it felt a little weird that in the main game, you were this unbreakable superhuman that could handle any amount of chrome without any real consequences. Maybe another video you could make is where Fem V installs the Canto 5 cyberdeck (the one you get from Cynosure) and is slowly driven mad, then finally possessed like Songbird was.
Blackwall stuff could literally be fun. (it's what happened to songbird). But currently, I'm exploring alternate ideas. The next one that's soon finished, is with Female V, and I don't want to spoil, but it involves.. "fighting crime" :P In general I like to not do the same twice in a row. Once I get the motivation to get back to cyberpsychosis or blackwall breakouts with rogue ais. I'll consider this. Thanks for the input btw.
Its a cool concept but I believe the reason why CyberPsychosis isn't a factor in game is simply because V is immune because of the biochip. Its not just V's mind but Johnny's and possibly even somewhat Morgan Blackhands as well (since Johnny's memories are probably mixed with Blackhands) and because there is a battle between which psyche will reign supreme; it negates any possibility of CyberPsychosis. Just a theory mind you but it makes sense in my head canon.
Thanks! According to Hellman, when we speak to him at the motel. There are no "split" personalities. But rather, just a new person, with 2 lifetimes worth of memories, from two different people. Therefore, the new "V", is only one person, a singular intelligence, but with two lifetimes worth of memories.. So, just like us, when we mumble to ourselves, with our inner voice. V now thinks they're talking to another person. But in reality, it's just an inner talk with themselves. But the split memories, convince V that it's two identities. But it's only one, a merged one. This is speculation, based on what we can interpret from Hellman's words. So when they say "The relic will eventually make it so Johnny's personality takes over" It just means, that the memories from V, are getting over-written by Johnny's memories MORE. But, it's not two persons, it's not two personalities anymore. They've merged into one single entity with twice the life-time of memories. That's horrifying! But, I don't really understand the argument where V's immune to cyberpsychosis, it doesn't make much sense to ME. Why, would it prevent V from succombing to Cyberpsychosis ? From everything we've heard in-game, and lore-wise. V has nothing that would make her immune to cyberpsychosis. The condition arrises when a person has too much chrome, and parts of the psyche rejects it, body too, chemical reactions happen, the person grows unstable, paranoia grows, fear, anxiety, the distorted reality begins, until the person's so unstable, their visions and hallucination become their reality. Cyberpsychosis. (That was.. dumbed down for the sake of argumentation, but obviously it's much more complex)
@@CyberPunkMoronCorner You make some good points but the fact that V never experiences it means it could go one way or another. In fact because its literally impossible in game to me says they're immune. Or that at very least they don't canonically ever get cyberpsychosis. Yet V also defeats Adam Smasher canonically in majority of his endings. So its not like we can use the excuse that V just doesn't tech up enough. V has a high tolerance no matter how you slice it.
Did the same for both Johnny and Male V tho. Used a local AI software to clone the voices. And thanks !! For the next project I'm working on, I'm actually doing the performance, and then using AI to do voice-to-voice transition. So that, I still get to add my own performance to it. But it'll be with in-game character voices. I'm excited to finish it. But taking my time to do it well tho.
Audio is great, idea is great. But original footage coul be much more cooler. More action, more sick tricks and use of different weapons. Also using different location with harsh transition and glitch effects, like if V would ¨wake up¨ in different spots/timelines etc. Anyway, cool vid

This makes me wish there were more endings for the game. Actually, I wish there were more different choices and consequences in general, after all it's based on a TTRPG, but I know making so many different scenarios would be extremely more expensive and time consuming for CDPR. Games with constant choices are hard to do and even harder to do right, what they managed to do. I still wonder how much better the game could have been if it was released in 2023 instead of 2020 though. All the amazing cut content that could have been added and just wasn't because of how much of a mess it was at launch.
That's not CDPR's fault. it's just the game, has such a dense, and rich background, that.. we thinkers. could come up with another 300 endings that would all just fit well within this masterpiece of a world. Thing is, they're limited, have other projects, etc. But yeah, atleast, CDPR; did the most beautiful thing you can do for your fans, and your own art. Work on it until you've fixed about everything you can before moving on. And they did such a tremendous job with this. Phantom Liberty is just cherry on top. It hit me so hard. wonderful adventure.. The staff that worked on Phantom Liberty, is the MAIN one in charge of Cyberpunk Orion. Currently in developpment. Remember, Cyberpunk 2077 was their first ever project of the kind. All they've learned, will ONLY lay a stronger base for the next game. So.. excited.

this should of been a secret ending where we do a last stand against Maxtec while our health depletes without regen so pretty much our heath becomes a timer but in all seriousness a psycho fem v sounds even scarier even with the ingame laugh proves that while you go on city wide killing spree because for me fem v is the true main character
Sound Issues ? There are stutters, artifacts, layered voices in both hears, distortions etc. But it's part of the "turning into a cyberpsycho, cyberware goes nuts" thing. Or are you experiencing something else ? I'm confused about the "Sound issues". Also, thanks !
Also if you're speaking about the progression as we approach the end. It's heavily intended. V is no more at that point. He's hearing white noise, in pulses. The distortion goes like a heartbeat in his ears, losing touch with himself, reality, leaving nothing but a pulsating white noise, that slowly.. fades into..him fading. Thought it would be poetic that way. But, I do understand that it can get overwhelming for some. (In the ears)

The audio was mixed and properly limited. there's no clipping of any sort. Not in my exports, not in my software. And nobody seems to have this issue ?. I do not understand what audio issues you encounter. Very odd.

During the mission where you find Anders Hellman, there's something very crucial that he shares, (inventor of the relic), he states after V says: "I can hear him, see him, talk to him" and Anders Hellman says to V: "Well no, you're not actually talking to him, but.. yeah I see what you mean". My interpretation is that, there is no Johnny. Because of the relic, it's just one new person, that has both memories, feelings, and all the inner thinking and discussions of both Johnny and V. So all the manifestations are nothing but the subconscious of a single person. Like an inner voice. Now, about your question. The way I edited this, was meant to represent the downfall of that person. And since Johnny and V are only one person now. With shared memories, and feelings. The discussion between V and Johnny, is actually just V, talking to himself. But since those memories/persona of Johnny are now his own too, in his perspective, it does feel like it's a whole other person that he's talking to. That discussion with Anders Hellman, I found it extremely valuable. It does provide some good hints. Of course, that's my interpretation.
I wish they integrated cyberpsychosis further into the game and you could get a different ending based on your actions or over chroming. it seems kinda of insignificant and more of a perk which kinda undermines the severity of the condition
Yes I do use a local AI tool on my computer to generate voice lines using custom parameters etc. it's called XTTS v2 webui. Since, I cannot afford Keanu Reeves and such highly praised actors for my lil fan fictions xD Though, I should put some kind of respectful disclaimer or something in my next ones. to state that it's 100% fictional for creative purposes and that I mean no harm.
Tower ending, as much as it hurts, has its place. It's not a ending I'd take away from the game. But it's sort of a realistic outcome as to what would happen if, you sacrifice it ALL to save yourself. Was it worth the price ? Sometimes, accepting the cards life gave you, is much more valuable, than sacrificing everything to get new ones. That type of stuff.. It's what I took from it. haha
@@CyberPunkMoronCorner Nah, that ending is just poorly written. It's just depressing for the sake of being depressing. At least V becoming a cyberpsycho or even unaliving himself makes sense in the context of the story and the rules it sets up.
@@CyberPunkMoronCorner Too much for me to list, but here's a few: - V's sudden inability to defend himself. Makes 0 sense that V couldn't fight against 2 regular thugs just because he has no cyberware, despite the fact that V was more than capable of handling himself as a Street Kid or Nomad (before he had cyberware). Not only that, but V is more than capable of standing his own against gangs, corps, and even MaxTac, regardless of whether or not V is chromed up. In other words, the decision to create a physically vulnerable V causes a huge narrative disconnect, where what's being presented to us in cutscenes fails to line up with what we experience during gameplay. - V losing his apartment and wealth (autopay isn't a feature in 2077 apparently, or the NUS couldn't foot a bill for 2 years), invalidating whatever work V has done as a merc with no given explanation. - Characters like Panam wanting nothing to do with V because of radio silence (completely contradicting her behavior in the Temperance ending via the credits), and Judy getting married within a 2-year lifespan (which hey, seems a bit of a stretch to think that after Judy losing two people very close to her in such a short timespan, she'll immediately want to settle down with someone she knew in less than 2 years).
@@majema007 1: You're forgetting a HUGE point there on your first argument. V's been 2 years and some, in a coma, all the structural muscles of the body are basically jello. It's what happens when you're in a coma, laying still for years. (Real life fact). So the two guys V couldn't fight, was there on purpose, to emphasis this, especially. V couldn't do shit in that situation, no matter the mental strength of V, or willingness to fight through. At that specific time. V was a jello humanoid, with no cyberware (That her WHOLE abilities and tireless training was built around of)... it's just. It makes 101% sense. 2: The appartment thing is extremely situational and contextual aswell. We do not know about the terms, policies and conditions. A person that rents most likely has to remain in that place, we do not know any of that. Also, it's a freakin night city appartment, V could've afforded anything else. So I do not understand that specific point you bring. It doesn't matter really. It's just symbolic. In my opinion. 3: Panam's choice makes sense up to a certain point. She's a very proud woman, sticks to her guts, and also acts impulsively, and emotionally. This has been showcased MANY times throughout the storyline. So it's not a stretch, to assume to V suddenly not answering, for weeks, then months, and then TWO whole years ?? Would be taken as "Ok that B## moved on, and doesn't care enough to tell me about the success the operation, V only used me for help with Hellman for her damn chip" Whatever.. you know ? A person overthinks in the course of two years. It's extremely difficult. Especially, when you realize, that V and Panam, have known each other, for.. only a few weeks tops ? The time context matters a lot here. A LOT. Same goes for Judy. Of course she moved on ? V and Judy only knew each other a few weeks, aswell. The whole thing. Is perfectly set up. It just makes sense, things are coherent with one another. At the end of that story, the tower ending. V goes out NUS with a body, that is no longer V's, all the built reflexes, stamina, muscle structure, agility, all gone. At that point, all V can do is walk straight.. practically.. How can you expect V to take on a maxtac operator or 2 armed full of muscle and healthy goons. Just .. doesn't make sense. You see ?

I jus know I seen I could level up mods so I tried to use all my resources after I found out what was resources. But jus putting lower version on should help, correct?
@@vaporition You can also just make sure to not exceed that red limit of cyberware when you have the edgerunner final perk in the tech tree. That's what makes the psychosis laughs happen during killings. If you keep your cyberware UNDER that red threshold. It shouldn't happen anymore! Hope that helps

I strongly disagree. That ending is very valuable. By the way it was orchestrated all the way to the message it conveys. It's a strong and beautiful ending. Of course, not my place to try and change your opinion or anything. Just saying, that it hits very hard emotion wise. It's far from being the best or most exciting ending. But in my opinion, it was a necessary ending that adds a lot of grounding reality to it. Some suffer to great extents, so much so that their vision of life itself is muffled and all they see, is pain, and no way out. The ending shows the aftermath of it, the people that get hurt with such a choice, the grave impact. And it's beautifully written. This.. could be a very interesting discussion to have, in depth. I don't think it's fitting as a single comment. There's a lot more to say.. but that's pretty much the surface of it. As to, why I think it's a great ending.
Oh believe me, if I could... I would've 100% hired Keanu Reeves and the real actors instead. With all respect to them. I just cannot afford to hire them for my passion fan-fiction projects. Haha Working with better tools for next projects tho.
In any other circumstances, I'd 100% put forward real living actors, rather than generated voices. But we can't have it all. I think it's already incredible, that we're able to use these tools for creative purposes such as this edit.

THE NUMBERS V, What do they mean?
This is amazing. The way V is suffering from a mental, emotional, and psychological breakdown combined with him reliving every bad moment or dialogue from certain quests to him trying to convince himself to not lose control was both a unique and terrifying experience.
This video gave us a glimpse into the mind of a person as them become a cyberpscho. This reinforced that Cyberpsychosis is a terrifying and frightening experience for anyone in the cyberpunk universe to experience. Try to imagine every bad experience or every bad situation that you have ever experience and combine that with the heavy amount of cyberware or chrome you have installed only to realize to your shock and horror that you are seconds away to become a cyberpsycho. The glitches and that creepy but terrifying voice is V’s bloodlust and cyberpsycho personified.
This is like a What if possibility: What if V gave up, snaps from everything, and becomes a cyberpsycho and dies at hands of MaxTac. The final words “I’m sorry” are meant to symbolize that V is really gone and in the end we saw a cyberpsycho an animal get put down.

I never bought the idea that V was immune to Cyberpsychosis. It would've been really interesting to see V teetering on the edge of insanity throughout the game like David from Edgerunners, V would not only be losing himself because of the relic but also because of his implants. Would've been a really interesting dynamic.

Makes me think about an extension to the secret ending where V succumbs to cyberpsychosis after emerging from Mikoshi. I think that would be particularly fitting given what happens in there. The emotional turmoil immediately following that + the removal of Johnny's engram brings a strong case for it I feel

The think is that considering just how many maxtac squads v can slaughter back to back v could actually go full psycho and not only survive but thrive
Well, accurate lore MaxTac, slaughter any cyberpsycho. V doesn't really escape that rule. They're just overpowered cyberpsychos programmed mentally to act as troopers. And there's 4 of them. It's an unfair start the second they come in. If in the game, you're able to slaughter waves of MaxTacs, it's only because it's the videogame, and your build has become overpowered. That's all. (Atleast that's my opinion). But what isn't my opinion, is the role of MaxTac itself in the lore.
MaxTac would destroy V. They're not only highly trained but their armor is literally bullet proof. Not to mention being decked out with an insane amount of implants. No one messes with MaxTac, they're in a league of their own.

Awesome, it felt a little weird that in the main game, you were this unbreakable superhuman that could handle any amount of chrome without any real consequences. Maybe another video you could make is where Fem V installs the Canto 5 cyberdeck (the one you get from Cynosure) and is slowly driven mad, then finally possessed like Songbird was.
Blackwall stuff could literally be fun. (it's what happened to songbird). But currently, I'm exploring alternate ideas. The next one that's soon finished, is with Female V, and I don't want to spoil, but it involves.. "fighting crime" :P
In general I like to not do the same twice in a row.

Its a cool concept but I believe the reason why CyberPsychosis isn't a factor in game is simply because V is immune because of the biochip.
Its not just V's mind but Johnny's and possibly even somewhat Morgan Blackhands as well (since Johnny's memories are probably mixed with Blackhands) and because there is a battle between which psyche will reign supreme; it negates any possibility of CyberPsychosis. Just a theory mind you but it makes sense in my head canon.

According to Hellman, when we speak to him at the motel. There are no "split" personalities. But rather, just a new person, with 2 lifetimes worth of memories, from two different people. Therefore, the new "V", is only one person, a singular intelligence, but with two lifetimes worth of memories.. So, just like us, when we mumble to ourselves, with our inner voice. V now thinks they're talking to another person. But in reality, it's just an inner talk with themselves. But the split memories, convince V that it's two identities. But it's only one, a merged one.
This is speculation, based on what we can interpret from Hellman's words. So when they say "The relic will eventually make it so Johnny's personality takes over" It just means, that the memories from V, are getting over-written by Johnny's memories MORE. But, it's not two persons, it's not two personalities anymore. They've merged into one single entity with twice the life-time of memories.
That's horrifying! But, I don't really understand the argument where V's immune to cyberpsychosis, it doesn't make much sense to ME.
Why, would it prevent V from succombing to Cyberpsychosis ? From everything we've heard in-game, and lore-wise. V has nothing that would make her immune to cyberpsychosis.
The condition arrises when a person has too much chrome, and parts of the psyche rejects it, body too, chemical reactions happen, the person grows unstable, paranoia grows, fear, anxiety, the distorted reality begins, until the person's so unstable, their visions and hallucination become their reality. Cyberpsychosis. (That was.. dumbed down for the sake of argumentation, but obviously it's much more complex)
@@CyberPunkMoronCorner You make some good points but the fact that V never experiences it means it could go one way or another. In fact because its literally impossible in game to me says they're immune. Or that at very least they don't canonically ever get cyberpsychosis. Yet V also defeats Adam Smasher canonically in majority of his endings. So its not like we can use the excuse that V just doesn't tech up enough. V has a high tolerance no matter how you slice it.

For the next project I'm working on, I'm actually doing the performance, and then using AI to do voice-to-voice transition. So that, I still get to add my own performance to it. But it'll be with in-game character voices. I'm excited to finish it. But taking my time to do it well tho.

Audio is great, idea is great. But original footage coul be much more cooler. More action, more sick tricks and use of different weapons. Also using different location with harsh transition and glitch effects, like if V would ¨wake up¨ in different spots/timelines etc. Anyway, cool vid

This makes me wish there were more endings for the game. Actually, I wish there were more different choices and consequences in general, after all it's based on a TTRPG, but I know making so many different scenarios would be extremely more expensive and time consuming for CDPR. Games with constant choices are hard to do and even harder to do right, what they managed to do. I still wonder how much better the game could have been if it was released in 2023 instead of 2020 though. All the amazing cut content that could have been added and just wasn't because of how much of a mess it was at launch.

That's not CDPR's fault. it's just the game, has such a dense, and rich background, that.. we thinkers. could come up with another 300 endings that would all just fit well within this masterpiece of a world. Thing is, they're limited, have other projects, etc. But yeah, atleast, CDPR; did the most beautiful thing you can do for your fans, and your own art. Work on it until you've fixed about everything you can before moving on. And they did such a tremendous job with this. Phantom Liberty is just cherry on top. It hit me so hard. wonderful adventure..
The staff that worked on Phantom Liberty, is the MAIN one in charge of Cyberpunk Orion. Currently in developpment. Remember, Cyberpunk 2077 was their first ever project of the kind. All they've learned, will ONLY lay a stronger base for the next game.

Also if you're speaking about the progression as we approach the end. It's heavily intended. V is no more at that point. He's hearing white noise, in pulses. The distortion goes like a heartbeat in his ears, losing touch with himself, reality, leaving nothing but a pulsating white noise, that slowly.. fades into..him fading. Thought it would be poetic that way. But, I do understand that it can get overwhelming for some. (In the ears)

As for the sound, it's really odd. I'm also into sound engineering, I'm a soundtrack/song composer/producer. The audio was mixed and properly limited. there's no clipping of any sort. Not in my exports, not in my software. And nobody seems to have this issue ?. I do not understand what audio issues you encounter. Very odd.

So wait im kinda confused, is Johnny actually cheering on V or is he being affected by cyberpsychosis too? Or is it not really Johnny and just the cyberpsychosis using his voice to get to V
Considering the fact that V and Johnny do pretty much share the same head id assume it's affecting johnny too to some extent
During the mission where you find Anders Hellman, there's something very crucial that he shares, (inventor of the relic), he states after V says: "I can hear him, see him, talk to him" and Anders Hellman says to V: "Well no, you're not actually talking to him, but.. yeah I see what you mean". My interpretation is that, there is no Johnny. Because of the relic, it's just one new person, that has both memories, feelings, and all the inner thinking and discussions of both Johnny and V. So all the manifestations are nothing but the subconscious of a single person. Like an inner voice.
Now, about your question. The way I edited this, was meant to represent the downfall of that person. And since Johnny and V are only one person now. With shared memories, and feelings. The discussion between V and Johnny, is actually just V, talking to himself.
But since those memories/persona of Johnny are now his own too, in his perspective, it does feel like it's a whole other person that he's talking to. That discussion with Anders Hellman, I found it extremely valuable. It does provide some good hints.
Of course, that's my interpretation.
I wish they integrated cyberpsychosis further into the game and you could get a different ending based on your actions or over chroming. it seems kinda of insignificant and more of a perk which kinda undermines the severity of the condition

Tower ending, as much as it hurts, has its place. It's not a ending I'd take away from the game. But it's sort of a realistic outcome as to what would happen if, you sacrifice it ALL to save yourself.
Was it worth the price ? Sometimes, accepting the cards life gave you, is much more valuable, than sacrificing everything to get new ones.
That type of stuff.. It's what I took from it. haha

It's just depressing for the sake of being depressing. At least V becoming a cyberpsycho or even unaliving himself makes sense in the context of the story and the rules it sets up.

- V's sudden inability to defend himself. Makes 0 sense that V couldn't fight against 2 regular thugs just because he has no cyberware, despite the fact that V was more than capable of handling himself as a Street Kid or Nomad (before he had cyberware). Not only that, but V is more than capable of standing his own against gangs, corps, and even MaxTac, regardless of whether or not V is chromed up. In other words, the decision to create a physically vulnerable V causes a huge narrative disconnect, where what's being presented to us in cutscenes fails to line up with what we experience during gameplay.
- V losing his apartment and wealth (autopay isn't a feature in 2077 apparently, or the NUS couldn't foot a bill for 2 years), invalidating whatever work V has done as a merc with no given explanation.
- Characters like Panam wanting nothing to do with V because of radio silence (completely contradicting her behavior in the Temperance ending via the credits), and Judy getting married within a 2-year lifespan (which hey, seems a bit of a stretch to think that after Judy losing two people very close to her in such a short timespan, she'll immediately want to settle down with someone she knew in less than 2 years).
@@majema007 1: You're forgetting a HUGE point there on your first argument. V's been 2 years and some, in a coma, all the structural muscles of the body are basically jello. It's what happens when you're in a coma, laying still for years. (Real life fact). So the two guys V couldn't fight, was there on purpose, to emphasis this, especially. V couldn't do shit in that situation, no matter the mental strength of V, or willingness to fight through. At that specific time. V was a jello humanoid, with no cyberware (That her WHOLE abilities and tireless training was built around of)... it's just. It makes 101% sense.
2: The appartment thing is extremely situational and contextual aswell. We do not know about the terms, policies and conditions. A person that rents most likely has to remain in that place, we do not know any of that. Also, it's a freakin night city appartment, V could've afforded anything else. So I do not understand that specific point you bring. It doesn't matter really. It's just symbolic. In my opinion.
3: Panam's choice makes sense up to a certain point. She's a very proud woman, sticks to her guts, and also acts impulsively, and emotionally. This has been showcased MANY times throughout the storyline. So it's not a stretch, to assume to V suddenly not answering, for weeks, then months, and then TWO whole years ?? Would be taken as "Ok that B## moved on, and doesn't care enough to tell me about the success the operation, V only used me for help with Hellman for her damn chip" Whatever.. you know ? A person overthinks in the course of two years. It's extremely difficult. Especially, when you realize, that V and Panam, have known each other, for.. only a few weeks tops ? The time context matters a lot here. A LOT.
Same goes for Judy. Of course she moved on ? V and Judy only knew each other a few weeks, aswell.
The whole thing. Is perfectly set up. It just makes sense, things are coherent with one another. At the end of that story, the tower ending. V goes out NUS with a body, that is no longer V's, all the built reflexes, stamina, muscle structure, agility, all gone. At that point, all V can do is walk straight.. practically.. How can you expect V to take on a maxtac operator or 2 armed full of muscle and healthy goons. Just .. doesn't make sense. You see ?

@@vaporition You can also just make sure to not exceed that red limit of cyberware when you have the edgerunner final perk in the tech tree. That's what makes the psychosis laughs happen during killings. If you keep your cyberware UNDER that red threshold. It shouldn't happen anymore! Hope that helps

This would have been a more interesting ending than seeing Valerie or Vincent shooting themselves.
I strongly disagree. That ending is very valuable. By the way it was orchestrated all the way to the message it conveys. It's a strong and beautiful ending.
Of course, not my place to try and change your opinion or anything. Just saying, that it hits very hard emotion wise. It's far from being the best or most exciting ending. But in my opinion, it was a necessary ending that adds a lot of grounding reality to it.
Some suffer to great extents, so much so that their vision of life itself is muffled and all they see, is pain, and no way out. The ending shows the aftermath of it, the people that get hurt with such a choice, the grave impact. And it's beautifully written.
This.. could be a very interesting discussion to have, in depth. I don't think it's fitting as a single comment. There's a lot more to say.. but that's pretty much the surface of it. As to, why I think it's a great ending.
