Every flight is a test, every crash is a lesson, repair is the punishment, and success is the redemption, a struggle all pilots must endure, Cheers Captain Blaz’ 🍺
Total respect, Blaz. The amount of times I hear pilots blaming everything but themselves… But, as you said yourself, you learnt something. I tip stalled a Spitfire a couple of months back and learnt something from that too. Every mistake makes us a better pilot. You are lucky that the plane has so little damage. I look forward to seeing it fly again. Of course, while you are repairing the nose you may as well fit an engine while you're at it! Robert: you get the prize for the funniest quote: 'It's a beginners plane but you have to fly it like a professional'!
Reminds me of an old poem that was imprinted on our brains when learning to fly--“Let him spin ,Let him burn, He held off bank in a gliding turn .” Stay safe gentlemen, you are very entertaining.👍😷. Cheers from Australia.
Ah, Capt Blaz. We've all been there. Turning back round for a slow pass and things get squirrely and tip stalling. Then, that long, slow walk, hoping that the model is going to be Ok. Thanks for leaving everything on the video. Salute from New Zealand.
Beautiful plane and love how the previous owner set her up. You can tell that was his baby. Captain Blaz, fix her up nice and take good care of her! It's okay, we all make mistakes. Pilot Robert and Captain Blaz, thank you for sharing your flying adventures with us! Hello from Plano, Texas and The Jasper RC Flyers.
Oh Blaze, just as you were saying it is a plane for a beginner! Took your eye off the ball! I have had similar moments - when you relax too much - you can never relax when you are low with any plane! Even a cub! Happy to see there was only minor damage - look forward to seeing a silky smooth landing next time :)
Avipatable Yes it has happened to me also. You can not relax too much especially when flying low. Never forget that lift must be equal or greater than weight, Captain Blaz will fly it again this weekend !
Ouch! Glad it survived without too much damage. I salute you Captain Blaz on the awesome deal you got on your Cub 👍 This plane looks like the perfect candidate for a cabin-mounted head-tracking camera for flying FPV
CradyLab, absolutely agree with that! And with all that slow flying can be easily one of the best FPV platform. All the best to all of you and happy flights!
Listen, guys, this is what makes your channel so good. You don't edit out the bits. Blaz, I have done this a few times too. When your only a few feet from the ground and your concentration gets disturbed it is easy to happen. It's a good fix so go and fly it again. Your a great flyer Blaz and no matter how good you are it happens. I should know because I have done it many times. Keep the hair as it is Blaz because your beginning to become a rocker. ACDC Blazzzzz :D
That is an awesome plane CPT Blaž . Dont be embarrassed you crashed it happens to everybody. I know you will fix it and fly it again like a beast. Salute from USA!!!
Dont knock yourself to much Captain blaz , it was a gentle crash. So all is good my friend. A bit of glue and she will be ready again. 👍👍😉😉 Big salute from the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Firstly Capt Blaz you MUST respect the propeller when the motor is armed. Electric power is quiet and relaxed flying and good for the plane with very little vibration. Get all fixed, fly it again and you WILL love it. I too years ago flew only nitro, electric was toys i thought, but now i have some 6 cell planes and I like them, So Salute, repair the plane with care and love..:)
The sound is a mixture of a vacuum cleaner and a vibrator..... I like the glow plug or chainsaw engines.... but anyway...You guys transport the joy of RC hobby the best way...here in the TH-cam-universe.... I salute You!!!
The middle word in life is ...if ... i go around 1 more time ..i be ok .... not aaa ...kick the tires light the fires ...you guys have so much fun ..keep on flying Steve from Canada ..soon package come !!!!!!!!!
Love watching the videos. After seeing how much the motor torque turned the plane on take off, I think that is what finished off the plane. When Captain Blaz tip stalled he went full throttle and the torque of the motor caused it to roll so much. Can't wait to see the 2nd flight. Maybe with a nice Saito 4 cycle! Hey!
you guys are great to watch.. the good captain needed to put in right rudder on take off so it counters the torque all tail draggers need it keep them flying guys.
Ohhh Nooo 😮!!! So sorry to see that Blaz! Just keep your speed up and remember that even a Cub can bite you when it gets too slow. You know what to do next time....what an absolutely GORGEOUS Super Cub! Can't wait to see her all fixed up and in the air on your field in Slovenia....Cheers and Blue Skies from your friend in the Mojave Desert 👍😎!!!
Greetings from Canada! Poor Captain Blaz can’t seem to get a word in. What is dis Captain Robert? Captain Blaz outside of his comfort zone flying an electric plane. Oh yeah! Many blessings to you both.
NO PROBLEM. If you don't screw up now and then, you are not doing anything. It will fix and we learn from things like this. And THAT WILL TEACH US SOMETHING! Time for a beer my friend!!
A real beauty in the air, that slow fly by was epic gorgeous HEY! "Captain Blaz start to babble hey":) LOVE THIS CHANNEL my friends, thank you for another great video
This was not a tip stall this was the cause of no wind and the ground moving up closer to the plane really quickly. Knowing the captain this will be fixed within the next two days up and flying doing loops maybe even a knife edge. 😉 Keep the videos coming gentlemen love it all... Cheers
Don't worry Captain Blaz , the plane is not very damaged and easy to fix . The next flight will be much better because you will give more power in the turn and a lesson learnt :-)
Captain Blaž very sorry to see that happen. It was flying so nicely. But hey we are only human. Some very small repairs and you will be airborne once again 👍🏻. Beautiful flying machine. Look forward to seeing this plane once again. Captain Blaž and Captain Robert Salute you both for the best RC Plane channel on the Tube. 🤘🏻✌🏻
What is dis Blaz you crash dis sexy plane. You must take the dreaded walk of shame. With all the planes you fly I was surprised that you crash this one sometime we just get too comfortable flying and get reminded of the basics the hard way it happens to all of us. Blaz I commend you for taking full responsibility for the crash I salute you for this.
Sorry about the crash, Captain Blaz. I think you jinxed yourself when you said it was a good beginners plane. 😁 The Super Cub was the first airplane I ever flew in when I was a young boy.
That's not a disaster! It's barely a mishap. Easy fix and another flight to test it again. Cheer up Capt.Blaz I've both seen and done a lot worse in my time :D
Bummer! However it did look a little tail heavy. But these things happen. No worries. Maybe MrRC sound module would give you the sound you need for electric. The walk of shame on camera is the worst. But we all wait for the next flight. You Rock Blaz!! BIG salute from Drummond Island
Ohhhh, I am planning to maiden my Super Cub, 1700mm, electric, balsa and foil, tomorrow 😳 Thank you Captain Blaz, I will be taking care of torque roll, coordinated turns, and..... Tip stall Perfect timing 👌😖
Nice plane capt. Blaz you fix it , check it out and you will love that plane even more so have good time I will be waiting to see next flight, salute from Texas ay
Oh man Capt Blaz, What was that! Don’t give up on electric. Like Capt. Robert said, “you’re the man!” I want to see you report back to that field and fly again!
Ahh sorry about that captain Blaz. It happens to all of us sooner or later. It was great that you admitted it was your mistake and didn't blame it on the plane or loss of signal. Fix that baby and get redemption. You are a great pilot.
You guys are so funny :) Yes crashes make us better pilots and better builders for sure. Surprised is was in such good condition after that tip stall. Well done.
Capt BLAZ. My Navy Cub is a tip staller too. But when that thing was flying it was awesome and sounds very cool. Fix it and get the landing right. I would put some tundra tires on it give it the Bush plane looks. Ohhhh YEAHH! 😎
Sorry for stall, btw on take off I allways use little right rudder to compensate left pull.. well but really nice scale flying.. sorry for stall it happens...you 2 are best!
yep.....the ever dreaded tip stall...I hate them but this plane is fixable for sure because you have the expertise. She was flying beautiful. I never had good luck with piper cubs but they look good in the air for sure. It was looking good until the end... ;)
Amazing idea with the mechanical arming. Set your min throttle to idle cpt blaž. It looks as though you need to reiron your wing tips a bit post crash and or use a flashlight to look for splintering in the wings. Ps these videos help me unwind after a stressful night. Peace and love to yall.
Big salute brothers! Certainly, there was no wind because someone had just sent you a new windsock. Wasn't sure what was up with the hair, I thought maybe you just had a beef jerky hangover Captain Blaz. lol This plane looks great btw. BTW: I'm really looking forward to seeing the Pitts fly!
Cubs are famous for tip stalling. It tip stalled. He recovered it. Then he hit the throttle and it torque rolled. He also torque rolled it on takeoff. Wings have no life at low airspeed. Wing tips on cubs have no lift at low airspeed. You can't mash the throttle on a Cub at low airspeed.
Absolutely....what puzzles me tho is that models don't vary the airfoil section to give a lower stall speed at the tips...it needs undercamber but Cub tips are the opposite...
Big salute back fellows!!! That's a beautiful plane and for such a big plane not much damage! I bet the repairs won't even be noticed! That was a heck of a deal Blaz. HiTec servos alone are worth it.
Ah yes the magic IF comes to bite the arse ..hehehehe anyway a nice plane and great video again Salutes capt Blaz and capt Robert :) very easy to fix ..it could have been worse but thankfully not too much damage hey :)... perhaps fit a decent four stroke engine :)
dont even worry about it captain blaz. these things happen. you just let the airspeed get a little too low. it will be a pretty easy repair from what i saw. no need to worry a long time. i bet the next flight will be perfect with this baby.down at the quarry oh yeah
You will get her back in the air soon ,it looks so beautiful . I lost my "Lady Esther beaver" , in a tip stall exactly the same way ,but i was not so fortunate its mangled foam
I'm with robert ..i like electric planes too. nice and quiet and no mess .i fly a super cub with s.a. f. e. i fly in the town over houses ..under power lines .and no one has dobed me in yet .
First I thought this video was from last years summer or so, because captain Blaz wearing a t-shirt, but then I realised it being from yesterday. You are really lucky having such nice weather this time of the year. I live in Vienna only a couple hundred kms away and it‘s rainy and cold and windy. Nevertheless your videos are so much fun to watch and so close to real pilot life - you know what I mean 😉 I could feel the pain captain Blaz must have had in this moment. But a couple minutes of diagnosis later he was already looking forward to his redemption flight again. Thank you for showing us those less lucky moments though. Please tell how the repair and redemption flight went. Cheers 👋
Captain Blaz you are right I have to come to you and fly with you. I will chase you with my drone or Mini Talon and make some nice footage of your flight 👍
Captain Blaz... never fly without the hat... hahaha... don’t worry my friend, you will fix it and fly it like the Captain you are hey!!! Take a look at the left landing gear, it seems that it bended from the crash. Good look next time! Pilot Eloy
I had a Cub like this one a few years ago, I think it was a "World Models" brand. Looks identical. Mine was also 6s electric, mine also crashed on the maiden. I was so pissed off I was going to throw it in the bin, but someone took it off me and fixed it up. He also crashed it. He fixed it up again and gave it to another guy, he also crashed it. I ended up buying a Hangar 9 Cub, it flew perfect. What can I say, I just think some models don't fly so well.
Nice plane and flight Capt Blaz ! Crashing is OK I believe in all or nothing . Light crash with minor damage or total destruction is the way to go then you don't have any big repair jobs to tackle . That looks like an easy fix .
oh man.... it could've been a lot worse being that it is a balsa construction, I think Capt. Blaz might have landed this one hard just because it had electric motor... I hope I come across a video of this repaired with a 4-stroke nitro on it!! salute!!
Every flight is a test, every crash is a lesson, repair is the punishment, and success is the redemption, a struggle all pilots must endure, Cheers Captain Blaz’ 🍺
DeucesWild RC thanks...i will try it again...
The problem was the hat. You can’t fly the plane when you look like david hasselhoff 😂 salute from NL
Kazairl81 HahahHahahahhhHahah
😂 😂 😂 😂
What hat? There's no hat.
Total respect, Blaz. The amount of times I hear pilots blaming everything but themselves… But, as you said yourself, you learnt something. yes it was all me...and we must tell the truth all the time!i will try this again with this engine but then i will put in a piston engine :)
Reminds me of an old poem that was imprinted on our brains when learning to fly--“Let him spin ,Let him burn, He held off bank in a gliding turn .” Stay safe gentlemen, you are very entertaining.👍😷. Cheers from Australia.
"This was my fault" I had a good laugh. Good flying as always, even the best of us have our days. Love the content gents
oh thnaks..yes we always tell the truth...
Gotta love the honesty from you guys, most pilots would blame plane, but you guys always call it like it is!!! You guys are the best!!!👍🏼
LJ_Hobby_Life thanks..this is how it must be .))
Ah, Capt Blaz. We've all been there. Turning back round for a slow pass and things get squirrely and tip stalling.

Salute from New Zealand.
Joanne Lowery oh thanks!!yes this is all part of this...
Awesome to see captain blaz flying electric. The walk of shame was perfect 👌
Congratulations on another brilliant maiden from the Captains.
Quad Damage FPV thanks but this is not for me ;))))
Don't you just hate it when the ground jumps up and attacks the plane? 😁
Yes, that and trees who jumps in your way.
Happens to me all the time. .. lol
Beautiful plane and love how the previous owner set her up. You can tell that was his baby. Captain Blaz, fix her up nice and take good care of her! It's okay, we all make mistakes. I feel for you Captain Blaz, but you accept this with grace. I salute you as you deserve. Fix it and fly again and all will be well.
Ronster oh thanks!!!!
Captain Blaz ! Good job flying ! Good job on NO EXCUSES ! This what flying is about . Fun ! Learning ! End of story

Absolutely....what puzzles me tho is that models don't vary the airfoil section to give a lower stall speed at the tips...it needs undercamber but Cub tips are the opposite...

Hey, it was a sexy crash! Salute!!!!
Love RC ahahh thanks!!!
Cheers 👋
Mario Luiki thanks my friend..you are
Welcome to come here and we will fly together!!
Captain Blaz you are right I have to come to you and fly with you. I will chase you with my drone or Mini Talon and make some nice footage of your flight 👍
Take a look if you like th-cam.com/video/l9-Twl7hLuk/w-d-xo.html
Well at least it's longer than the 9seconds hay Captain Blaz.
alejandro diaz ahahh yes it was ;)
Captain Blaz... never fly without the hat... hahaha... don’t worry my friend, you will fix it and fly it like the Captain you are hey!!! Take a look at the left landing gear, it seems that it bended from the crash. Good look next time! Pilot Eloy
Yes the hat was missing ;)) i did reband it ;)
I had a Cub like this one a few years ago, I think it was a "World Models" brand.
Lee Wood yes true ,(
Nice plane and flight Capt Blaz ! Crashing is OK I believe in all or nothing . Light crash with minor damage or total destruction is the way to go then you don't have any big repair jobs to tackle . That looks like an easy fix .
@ 9:43 - DUAL RATES - LOL!!!
Wow that plane is built like a tank! That’s all the damage? Wow!
vasmikey yes very very strong...
oh man.... it could've been a lot worse being that it is a balsa construction, I think Capt. Blaz might have landed this one hard just because it had electric motor... I hope I come across a video of this repaired with a 4-stroke nitro on it!! salute!!
